After cruising Nana plaza last night, I was walking down Sukhumvit to soi cowboy. There were 2-3 attractive eastern European looking girls in front of Mcdonalds. I was surprised and did a double take. I like Thai girls so that is not my style but it would be many guys idea of a fun time. The bars seem quiet in both areas except crazy house and upstairs in the dollhouse. The dancers were naked and dancing but older and unattractive. But, it was very fun!

I was slightly perturbed by a group of Indians refusing to sit down but jumping around partying a little too much in my face, and seemingly about to send my drinks flying, at Billboard while I was trying to do well with a girl on my lab at the suds bath. So yes just a bit more decorum would be appreciated. Not to single them out though, arrogant Farang drunks that won't sit down in gogos can be very annoying as crash into things regularly. No control of what they are doing. Broken glass goes flying. Some of them stink also. Seems that most guys that stink under arms, do not know they stink, or think it is very normal and everyone can handle it. For me it brings on the feeling I want to puke, so can't be near stinky types for too long. This is one reason I like Thai girls. Very rare for them to have much odour. I would appreciate if bar doorman would not let in the drunks and the stinky types (no matter where they come from) and I think Cigar smoking should be banned as well, even in bars that allow cigarettes. Included 11 Uzbeki girls. Interviews suggested that the Uzbeki girls were not "trafficked" (without supplying exact definition. Just as likely police are looking for their cut.

They are not concerned about Thai girls working in other countries since hopefully the girls are saving some of the cash and that is also benefiting the Thailand economy.

Thone handful of foreign girls at Royal Garden would be the only foreign girls in Thailand working like that. They weren't taking work from Thai girls. In Oz there would be many hundreds of Thai girls. In Phuket and Pattaya there are many Russian tourists so they must expect some Russian girls. The girls at Royal Garden didn't live there they were all free contracts. After work they were off to Resturants and clubs, mostly Mixx. I got to know some of them quite well. They all use to send money home via Western Union. The Thai press and police try to make out they were slaves which just wasn't true.

The same could not necessarily be determined re the Ethiopian girls.

.[/QUOTE]Actually that is not quite true, Thai girls working illegally in Australia, especially trafficked girls, get nabbed by Authorities fairly quickly usually, locked up in detention and sent home.

The point is, there many Thai, Korean, Philippine, etc. Girls working in Brothels in Australia and NZ, but if they have a permit to work, then there is no problem. The is no legal basis to discriminate on race or nationality with type of work done, if the work is legal, and the owners and workers pay taxes etc.

It turns out the local sex customers prefer the Asian girls, so they are not going to notify the authorities in most cases unless the girl is imprisoned by Vietnamese pimps (typical case) and subjected to bad conditions. Often it is other workers losing business to the competition (cheaper or more attractive) that are going to inform the authorities about illegal Thai workers, especially Thais themselves, whether they are in a brothel or a restaurant or whatever.

So I am in agreement with Point Stick's post.

I am not condoning the police raids in Thailand. I happen to like some girls that are not strictly Thai and even have sympathy for girls needing to make money to support their children, parents etc. Even if the Thais think they should be prevented from working due to age or nationality. Girls with very low education find it hard to make enough money other than by providing special services in some level of demand.
