East China - Shanghai

I was pushed for time and it was the afternoon, not the sort of time to go around BBS, so I ended up at a quite decent looking massage/spa on Xietu Lu/Nandan Lu next door to a convenient store and less than 50m from my local sauna place above cafe 85c bakery. (see previous post)

I'd been in this place 3 times before just for a body massage/foot massage for only rmb88. All legit and quite relaxing. Overall, the place is clean, safe and the manager or mamasan who is always dressed very well, is also very pretty and speaks english.

Anyway, this time I wanted to try an oil massage (rmb198), so I told the girl and she ushered me into the furtherest back area of the premises into a room no more than 10ft x 10ft. The room had a small shower cubicle, a massage bed, and an aircon unit. OK, so I waited no more than a minute when the prettiest girl arrives. (9/10 stunner). She then makes the bed, and gives me a pair of disposable paper shorts to put on. (to be honest, a waste of time as she'll have them off later!). So onto the oil massage on the back first, then the legs. Thats when she then removes the paper shorts. (20mins into massage). So off they come, with a struggle, and then proceeds to massage the important areas. Very erotic, enough to have you gagging for it. After 10 mins of ball tickling, she turns you over for the main event. No need to describe, but as I said, this girl is definitely a 9 and with a great smile. Tried to touch her up, she never resisted but then again never got much muff to play with. But had I changed positions slightly then a different story.

So to finish, a quick shower, and pay the girl at the desk only rmb198. There were other prices, rmb298 & rmb398 longer time and probably more variety, but will try it out one bored day.

I normally don't do the HE stuff, but I thought i'd try it to see what the fuss was all about. It's ok once in a while, and besides you get a half decent massage as well. Better still, it won't be raided!

I'm heading over to shanghai for the first time soon. First time in China. I've heard from people that some hotels have massage parlors in the hotel? Is this true? Whats the best option for a newbie who won't want to travel far from hotel? I will most likely be staying at a big chain hotel like Sheraton, Intercontinental, Hilton, etc. Any options for incall. I tried some of Ira's medication just for the hell of it. While I didn't get the distance reported by some, I sure got extra mileage in a couple of sprints.

The prices for hermetically sealed stuff with all the trappings of anything you'd find in a legitimate pharmacy stateside or in the UK are ridiculously reasonable. Nobody is making a fortune on this.

I've been caught up in 2 raids many years ago, both at bbs places, so lets start there. Both times they occurred somewhere between 8-10pm. Undercover cops came in with digital camera's. Both places offered FS and had a good selection of cute young girls (why I was there). Fortunately both times I was fully clothed and nothing had happened yet. 1st time they told me to leave, second time I had to stay until senior policeman arrived. 2nd time I spoke with cop saying I didn''t have my passport with me and I was there for legitimate massage. No photo's were taken and eventually I was released. Bbs places are dangerous because they are easy to enter and for locals to see whats going on but good in the sense not only FS is offered. You could just be in for a HJ. They can technically only prove FS if they photograph you in the act (thank goodness that never happened). I've had some harrowing experiences in my life and this was certainly one of them. My advice is to avoid the mid evening times. It makes sense thats when they will raid as the streets are quiter after rush hour and dinner, bbs have most girls and customers then and the fuzz don't have to work too late into the night. Avoid FS in a bbs where there is no security setup/warning system/lock on booth. Don't take your pants off and if caught insist you are there for legit massage. Personally I don't think they care about HJ (but I could be wrong), only shops promoting FS, possibly BJ (riskier activities) and shops that are 'enslaving' lots of young girls, usually from other provinces and often possibly also working illegally in shanghai (another reason to raid).

Sauna's are a whole other ballgame because it is obvious FS is the caper going down and you can't exactly escape, especially when your stuff is in a locker. Again avoid certain times of the night and choose less busy times. If a sauna has been raided, shut down and re-opened it may be safe as they may have effectively paid off police but its NO gaurantee. Same with classy established places, there's NO gaurantee they will be spared. But I suppose places that invest and make money are going to fair better with police.

The safest way is to try pick up freebies or WG's from bars or massage services to your room/home where you have some added safety/privacy and harder for police to follow or prove things. Its much easier for them to raid establishments or areas than individuals.

Take care out there! I was lucky with my bbs experiences but they were NOT fun.

Went for a walk tonight. My objective #1 was to go to a Sauna. But, before that I thought I'd get myself worked up by checking out the BBS scene. If I saw something I liked, I'd bite.

Getting to these couldn't be easier. First hop on the subway. It's not so hard really. If you have never done it than you've never experienced Shanghai. Go to the kiosk. Hit the "English" button. Hit #4 Line. Look for Dong'An Station. It'll be South West side of town in puxi. Pop in your change and a card will come out. Take that card to the turnstiles and place it atop the reader thing. If you don't know what you're doing just watch people. You'll get it. Now, just take what ever trains you must and changeover wherever you must, and get out at Dong'An Rd Station. Upon exit you'll follow the signs to the exit. You'll put the card into the turnstile and walk through. If you look clueless enough maybe a cute girl will help you and you'll end up with a freebie.

Okay, so exit. You'll want to exit such that you are deposited on the south side of Ling Ling Lu. Okay, so start walking east. When you exit the station just keep on that side of the road. Your first target will be up on your right. It's a door that's nestled between what looks like a cig shop and a local dive restaurant. If it is night, the pink will be on. Look in, double back, if you like it go for it. Keep walking if not. Keep walking. That's really it for a while. Keep on the south side of the road. You'll see another place coming up. Looks a little classier. Take a look. If not, keep walking. Now, at the next intersection, you can move to the other side of the road (north side). Now there will be about 3-4 options. Just keep walking and you'll see them. One had some big busty types. The next-to-the last had some young ones. Essentially keep walking until you hit Damuqiao Station. Double back if you want to see more. At Damuqiao station you have some options if you didn't like what you saw. 1) you can keep BBSing. Go north on DaMuQiao and just walk around the block. 2) Hop on the train and go back to Shanghai Indoor Stadium exit and go south on TianYaoQiao to 999 3) Go home.

Conclusion, I didn't like what I saw on offer around 8-9 pm. So I went to 2nd a "new" sauna on Xietu Lu and Nan Dan Dong Lu. Report to follow.

Went to the Xietu and Nandan Dong (east) Lu Soapy that was previously reported. Liked the fact that the location was close to XuJiaHui where I live. I can walk. After the fact on my way home I can stop by Harley's and get a beer.

Okay, if you aren't in Xujiahui, then you can 1) take a taxi or 2) you can take the subway to the Xujiahui station and exit #9. Go north on Caoxi lu and turn left on Nan Dan Dong Lu. At some point you'll want to cross the road, but that's not a big deal. A couple blocks down you'll hit the Nandan/Xietu intersection. You'll see the bakery that was reported. Most people are just drinking the rancid milk tea stuff, but anyways, some of the cakes look nice. Go around the corner a bit and there will be a guy on the outside with a 2 way radio sitting on a chair. Just walk in the entrance. He'll say "San Low", which is 3rd floor. You'll walk up, sit down, they'll take your shoes like its a bowling alley and you'll walk too the changing room like slippers. Unlike 999 (comparing) you'll skip the shower (it's a soapy after all). You'll disrobe, go to a room. A girl will walk in. She'll ask if she is okay. If not say no...saying 'Boo Shuh' will work with a thumbs down if you don't like. They'll send another. So, basically, no lineup.

The experience will be very different from Germany. So, don't discount it. I'd suggest 999 as a soapy. Just search the forum for directions and details. It's a lot of fun. RTFF

If you are in to raw stuff, then BBS's are good. Requires some foot work. You don't seem to want to take a risk, so best just to avoid it.

It's not too serious. The truth is that there are way too many FS Saunas and BBS's (hundreds if not thousands) in town for the government to shut down. Keep in mind that these places were designed by and for locals. We are just guests. What may draw LE is a bunch of foreign guys lurking around one area. That would give them an opportunity to exert extra pressure in the form of higher fees on those establishments. Raids are the way to do it.

There doesn't seem to be a concerted effort to clean places up. It's just a one-by-one occurrence. It may even be scheduled around official reviews where local officials clean up the streets for a couple days while the senior official tours. Then it is ignored until the next review.

If you are really worried about a raid you can go further out into suburbia. One place that has a lot of BBS (easily 15-20 on a Saturday night) is up in Baoshan district. Songfa Subway station is the easiest way to get there. And walk the streets of Songnan and Changjiang. There is actually one right next to the police station.

My experience is that it is nearly random. Decent girls don't hang out on TRL or in bars for that matter. I think a low-key Starbucks in a area frequented by foreigners is a best bet (Zhongshan Park, Xujiahui, Jing'An). It's not hard to find a female freind if you just want to hang out and be friends. You can find those on Craigslist too. Most do not want to get entangled seriously with a visitor.

My experience is that getting to something sexual takes time, money, and adds complications. A good mix for me is to make friends with local girl(s) for companionship and take care of your physical needs at the Sauna, BBS, etc. It's basically what Chinese men do...they have a wife they rarely have sex with after childbirth and use the establishments for physical needs.
