State advertising MPs now
The state owned Sunday Observer has started putting out an advertising supplement like HIT ADs but with much less ads. There are MPs advertising in them - the same ones as in HIT ADs.
Can the LE raid these places and arrest people when the state is advertising them ? Maybe mongers should keep a copy of the supplement to show the khaki clad morons if they turn up when a monger is having a good time.
Any Lawyers amongst us to advise?

Belly dancers at Habibi restaurant
This is a new Lebanese restaurant. I have not been there myself - I am sure the prices are very high. There are some interesting comments about it on the internet, this one written by a lady:
i think that this place its not restaurant, i saw the 3 bellydancers new, and they are not belly dancers, they are vulgar and they sit with the guests. Its not familiar restaurant.
I think what she means is that it is NOT a family restaurant. I wonder whether it is just Lebanese food on the menu or one or two other things as well?
The address is 41 1/1, Maitland Crescent, Colombo 7 (next to the Gymkhana Club). Tel. 072 5100000.
