And I speak fluent Indonesian. But the fact that it's hard for me is not because of the girls but because of me. For most bule it is ridiculously easy to pick up Indonesian girls in a mall. I know quite a number of bule guys who pick up a girl (or get at least one number) every time they go to a mall.

What's needed is a ready and friendly smile, good manners and confidence. You don't need to be able to speak Bahasa and you don't even need a good dress.
