BUT several of those wars (The Revolutionary War, The War of 1812, The Barbary Coast Wars, World War I, World War II) were initiated by our foreign adversaries. The majority of the others cited were completely internal I. E. The Civil War and all the Indian Wars. I am not saying that the Indian Wars were all fair, mostly they were not, however, they mostly occurred in the 19th century. They were all internal and a product of their times.
But if you are condemning the US for wars (more like skirmishes or armed enforcements in the case of the Indian Wars) how can you ignore history? The British and French colonial conquest wars dwarf those of the US. Other than our War with Mexico you would be hard pressed to find many other [B]colonial land grabs[/B].
Many of the other conflicts that are cited in your source were peace keeping missions. Ie. Somalia, Bosnia, Croatia, Kosovo, Lebanon, Syria. The US was joined by almost all the European powers in these peace-keeping missions and there was no "land grab" at the end.
If you look at what the US did at the end of World War II, you would see something that was unprecedented in world history. We helped rebuild Germany and Japan and other allies as well. We didn't take their land, we didn't enslave their people. The Marshall Plan was an unprecedented display of US values. Those two defeated countries that were manifestly devastated in 1945 were reborn as democracies and were revived to be among the leading economic powers in the world within half a century.

That's another USA lie).
But the issue is that these land disputes / issues are 1 or nations at a time. USA has around 800 military bases in 80 different countries around the world, built there to enforce is imperialist aims. There is no comparison. I find any attempt at defence of this as shameful. Its not patriotic to try to defend one's own nations' crimes, its nationalistic, which is one step away from nazism.

* Japan was not included in the Marshall Plan so its fallacious to say Japan benefitted from it.
* Much of the 17 billion was in the form of loans, not gifts. So the countries had to rpay, and still are repaying the USA. Furthermore, USA loaned a similar amount of money post WW2 and prior to Marshall Plan. Again these countries are repaying that too.
* Of the 17 billion gifted to countries under the Marshall Plan, this was all under condition of 'economic cooperation'. Meaning 'open your markets to our businesses! All loand since then. World Bank / IMF is loaned under simimilar hegemonic conditions.
* USA only granetd money to its own markets. It recognised that its markets had been destroyed by WW2 and so its own economy would suffer bcos no one had any money to buy its goods. This is why the plan was created. To prevent the USA suffering from the post-war economic crisis.

Cuba was never a US territory. The Philippines hasn't been a US territory since World War II. Some Pacific Islands are US territories mostly because after World War II they wanted the protection of the US. Several other Pacific Island territories are uninhabited. For decades, Japan has had an incredible benefit by not having a military budget of consequence because of the alliance, support and protection of the US. It would be many years before there was a "global economy". Obviously in the aftermath of World War II there was a lot of construction and the US certainly produced a goodly amount of the materials that were needed for reconstructing the leveled cities of Europe.
