Warning at the Hotel Mystik in Santo Domingo
I was in Dominican Republic for over a month with my Wingman and the Taxi Drivers that hang out at the Mystik Hotel are very bad news especially a Taxi Driver named Felipe. He speaks perfect English by the way. There is also another guy with a big belly. They both charge double the rates that should be, I would call Apollo Taxi or have the from desk call them for you. The hotel gets a kick back from them it appears. There used to be a great manager there but his brother kicked him out and took over and raised the rates of the rooms. Now, if you check in past 11pm you get a discount but it appears that the Hotel Raizor accross from the Jaragua Hotel is still much better and has been for the past 3 years. I only used to go to the Mystik because of my friend who was the Manager there. Also, the Mystik breakfast sucks and at the Raizor Hotel, you get a free breakfast from there restaurant right next to there hotel. But what happened with me and my buddy was a setup. First of all Felipe speaks perfect English and is from New York and he left N. Y. Because of drug charges or so he stated last trip. He also has cards he pulls out of his wallet that must be ten years old and states he was security for the Dominican President at one point in his life. We had him take us 5 minutes away from the hotel to go to the Supermarket, he waited in the car while we got food. I had a rental car but we were to smashed to drive from being at Paco's for over 6 hours. When we got back in the cab with the food from the Supermarket and he drove no more then a minute we got pulled over by the military that are not the police and he quickly threw a few small bags of powder in it or whatever in our back seat on the floor. Keep in mind that the military can not even issue you a ticket. Then the Military do not even go to talk with him but open our door and say cocaine without even seeing it. A setup, avoid Felipe at all costs. Not only did we give the Military close to 200 bucks and all our food but when we asked Felipe why he threw the stuff in out back floor he said that he did not think they would search us but him. I have been to the DR over 20 times and have never been setup like this. I learned one valuable lesson, I should of kept my money in the bottom of my sock like I normally do and the second thing is not to trust taxi drivers that speak English. If you ever want a Taxi, always ask the Front Desk how much the charge will be to go to your destination from the hotel and when the taxi driver gets there, ask him to go to the front desk and go over the charge again where the front desk repeats the price in front of the taxi driver. Also so everyone knows, if you are going to stay at the Matun Casino in Santiago they are trying to make it not chicka friendly and you must register the woman when you first check in, at least this is what the manager has told me that I have known for years. I just wanted to warn everyone. I will give some new reports of my adventures soon.

Mongering in Santo Domingo
Report Summary.
Sosua to Santo Domingo.
Took the 11AM bus from Sosua to Santo Domingo with metro. Arrived in Santo Domingo around 3pm and jumped into a taxi to Hotel Riazon.
On Av Independencia for 200 pesos. Hotel Riazon is $60 a night and chica friendy located in an area of Santo Domingo with the highest concentration of clubs and casinos.
Baby Dolls.
I first tried baby dolls club along the Malecon next door to Foxys. Was late afternoon and about 5 girls inside, little hardcore but above average, they wanted 3500 pesos.
For takeout which I think is expensive but seems to be the price in the clubs. Was tempted and all the girls were rubbing my cock through my jeans trying to tempt me.
Av Pasteur Sky High.
Later that night I tried the Sky High club down along Av Pasteur. Not impressed with the girls, about 8 chicas stood around me all looking tired bored and totally uninterested. All around Av Pasteur area are lots of hustlers trying to take you to clubs you already know about. Your prices will likely be higher if they think they have to pay the hustler some commission. I must admit to not having done much research for Santo Domingo, thought I would do it on the road. Well I was in the right hotel and seemed I only needed this mongering map of Santo Domingo.

Calle El Conde.
I visited a few of the casas listed on the map but could not find them or they were gone. I wandered down Calle El Conde, popular 24 hour restuarant on the corner did have a maturer black freelancer wanted some business, but was not interested. Another chica who spoke english caught me looking at her and come over, I not had my phone on me or pen or notepad, so she took my facebook handle,
She had to goto work so could not come with me there and then.
Calle Cervantes Massage.
Later a hustler around Av Pasteur took me to a massage parlour at no 2 Calle Cervantes, about half a dozen girls inside, one was really nice so chose her. 1 hour massage was 1200 pesos. Massage was excellent, a strong well built latina girl. On my front I had a full erection which she was touching she them offered me full sex for an extra 1000 pesos. Had a really good session with her on the massage table, but she not let me suck her puff nipples and the blowjob was covered. Outside I gave the hustler 100 peso tip and he now had his motobike with him and wanted to take me around the casas. But was releived now so declined his offer.
Casino.
My last night in Santo Domingo was in the Jaragua casino for a couple of hours playing roulette, a few freelancers in there, but nothing special, Some of the hostesses are lovely though but need to speak fluent spanish, they bring you over free drink and food as long as your gambling.
Dollhouse.
Checked out the Dollhouse, thought this might be really upmarket with some really hot girls, but was dissapointed, after paying an entrance fee was sat down and just one girl dances at a time, the best girl I saw was a latina an 8 at most, she come over to me and asked if I wanted some company, but declined, I read in here it was 200 dollars a chica. I wandered back along Av Independencia, almost deserted I was going to try the 305 club and hope to take a girl on my last night from there. But not make it and stopped off at my hotel and fell asleep.
The next morning took the Bavaro express from Juan Sanchez Ramirez bus station back to Punta Cana for my flight home to London.
Great help about the military
Couple of things.
1. The old manager Emilio was fired for skimming money off of the construction. As you know he was really an engineer and not a good hotel manager. I was also upset to hear about his dismissal. He is generally a good guy and showed me around DR's Barrios and Suburbs on his own time. Thanks to him I now have some great local friends.
2. Prices went up to cover construction and renovation (I don't blame him) Daniel still will give out discounts to return customers if he knows you or you say your from this board.
3. Sorry but the Riz. Is no better than the Mystic and Jose (the cook) is damn good. He makes great omelets and Curry Steak. I never stay at hotels as primary base anymore. If I'm going to be there more than a week, I generally rent a condoatthe malecon center or like now debating on staying at one of Jao's finds. When I'm trolling I'll get a room at the mystik in the back as its a central walk. I seldom bring Putas back to the condo as it's asking for trouble. The security at the mystik is well versed at how to handle dumb shit. Home base Condo is for entertaining friends, peace and safety. Besides, I hate having to continually biatch proof my living quarters.
4. Fellini AKA Filipe is actually exmilitary, deportee and current Dope Boy.
5. Jose (Guy with Belly) owns Carribe Concierge service. He has about 4 cars w drivers he runs out of the Mystic and the staff always refers guest to him as he generally is at the bar sitting next to the window on his laptop and phone running his business. Felipe is not associated ay any level with his business.
6. Who in the hell told you the Military can't give or get you given a ticket? Thats not only Dead Ass wrong its Dangerous. Pray all they do is call to have one issued to you. The last people you want stopping you in Santo is the military. Pray for the Tourists or federal / national police. The military tells them what they can and can't do in the national district from an administrative level. I constantly read this on the board. It's dead ass wrong. Its not the same civilian military split of authority here in the states. Believe that Pazzy cumma bullshit if you want to as your ass sits in a military prison waiting on someone to notice you missing. When the REAL MILITARY shows up, somebody ass going to jail (Period) Most likely, they were not active duty military.
Lastly; Dealing with Filipe is like dealing with the kid with all the ball caps next door. Its asking to get fvcked over. If you truly have been in DR a month you should know this especially as much as Dominican gossip and tell each others business. All BS aside, fillipe got that fire Mid-Grade and Hatian SW's.
None of the above takes away from the BS of the shakedown. Why I am responding is that your disparaging a group of people I know and its disconcerting that you would attribute fault of your incident to anyone but Felipe and a lack of paying attention. Dude! The guy screams drug dealer! You can't pay me to get in his Taxi or be around him with any law enforcement with in a mile radius. Hell, the Jaragua and Hilton won't let him in taxi line nor property. You had to be drunk.
Thank you for explaining to me about the Military, I never knew that they could write a ticket. I only know that they have pulled me over a few times this past year and ask for 1000 pesos and I argue with them and give them nothing or 100 pesos. As for Emilio, I really liked him a lot and brought baby clothes for his kid when he lived in the Hotel. He used to go next door with me and pick a girl for the night. I never would of thought that he would skim money. As for Fellini, I wish I would of wrote to you before hand, I always have a rent a car because of the freedom to drive. I had Jose (the taxi driver) drop one of my girlfriends off from tagged and he charged me 600 pesos, it turns out that Apollo and Sun Taxi charged 200 and 220 pesos to drop her off so you do the math. There is not point of using them over a service it appears. They know where the money is and this is why they are there. Everytime I go to the Dominican Republic it is a learning experience, if I drive to Punta Cana and stop off in different cities on the way or if I drive to Sosua and stop by in La Vega. I was told about a city that has beautiful waterfalls and that the movie Jurassic Park was filmed there. I will probably spell the name of the city wrong but I believe it is Jarabacoa. Maybe you guys also have the 411 on a guy named Choclatee, he was a black guy that used to get women for me for 1000 pesos but I heard he pasted away. I am not sure but you guys have much more knowledge then I do.
