At GE's party I was introduced to smoe older american guy from our "deep south" He was alone and made no attempt to meet any of the four single, gorgeous women in attendance. I departed shortly after him around 02:30AM. THe next day GE told me this guy's SAD STORY.

This old fart came to Davao to marry some young girl he met on the internet. He had never beein in the P I and found himslef alone over the holidays in Davao City, of all places. Needless to say, he was NOT staying at the Marco Polo. Had a room in some pathetic pension house.

His story is simple and all to common. THis goofball does not have a clue. He meets and marries this young filipina. She announces that she must go to be with her Family in La Paz, I believe. He is NOT INVITED to accompany her. Rather this duffous is left to fend for himself in Davao City at the one time of year when you do NOT want to be alone here.

He makes a desperate plea for help to GoodEnough on the "Living in the Philipines" website. Naturaly GE responds with the New Year's Eve Party invitation. I was wondering why his attire had him looking so "out of place" at GE;s Party where everyond else was nicely attired.

Common sense should tell you that your wife belongs by your side on New Year's Even and ANY OTHER FUCKING HOLIDAY. What is worse is that this poor schmuck is exactly that, a poor schmuck getting by on a small social security income. He asks GE to find him a home to rent in Davao City for 5000 pesos per month (all his budget can stand). I reply that he is sounding more like our Sir Brad by the minute.

For 5,000 pesos a month you will get EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR IN DAVAO. There really needs to be some kind of orientation program set up for these old guys who, thinking with their little penises, travel to the Phils insearch of a "young fuck toy".

As I have told so many of these guys over the last 20 years, "ask yourself what your reaction would be if this occurred in your own country". If you were in the USA or Europe and your wife told you at any time (especially right after marrying you) that she was leaving to be with her Family and you were on your own for the holidays, would you find this appropriate???

While in Davao City I met a lovely lady age 25; tall, slender and sweet. I enjoyed being with her and dined twice at Davao restaurants together. However, in the five times we met she would not spend the night with me. This always has me wondering.

Since my Jen left me I am more or less in a state of "fucked up". GE has gone our of his way to hasten the impossible, my forgeting her. I am also more suspicious of filipinas (and all asia women). In my younger days in the US I had a few ladies I was "seeing" who would depart during the night. I later discovered that they were married. Had a couple in Asia before who lived with boyfriends and would "sneak back" before the dumb shit awoke from his drunken stupor.

This young lady insists she is single and living with her mother (heard her mention she lived alone once). I do not know what the story is. GE says his usual, "why the fuck should you even care?" In any event she is a wonderful person and I DO want to continue seeing her.

(ok, I would have left off the website were they met this guy, but that would be the only exception) Some older aged guy is going to read that post and hopefully not marry the first girl he meets in in the PI. He will understand that there are literally millions of Pinays to choose.

The first time I visited the the Philippines I dressed and acted like I was vacationing in Hawaii after my college graduation. I was basically a middle aged man walking around in tennis shoes, white socks, ugly shorts, 80's hair band t-shirt and an old base ball cap. That was before I found this board and realized you have to "dress appropriate for the job" (my job was to score some quality college age girls)

This is a great place to learn from other success and failures.

Since this is the Davao board, I will recommend that you guys take your Pinay to Jacks Ridge. It is about a 20 minute taxi drive from the main city and has a great view of the city. I went there with three different Pinays and they all loved the place and showed there appciationg later in the eveing. It has great views of the city day or night and the food is very reasonalble priced if you decide to eat there. The also have a large public swimming pool, but it was closed for constuction when I was there.

I do not think that DS was denigrating this guy specifically. He was/is actually a nice man who was/is just absolutely clueless about the place, and it still hadn't dawned on him that he had probably been suckered. I think what DS meant to imply was that this guy represents the archetypal older foreigner, who gets off the plane, gets quickly bedazzled by the fact that a young attractive woman "loves" him, experiences the best sex of his life, and makes an impulsive decision to marry the girl.

All of us who live here, or who spend lengthy and frequent periods of time here, have seen this countless times. I construed DS' post as a warning to others who may be susceptible to the same situations.

I never heard from this guy again after he left my house in the early hours of the morning, so maybe everything worked out okay for him after all.

No idea how this old man was as a person, but I hope someone told him what is posted below, in his face. Backstabbing is for persons with small egos in my opinion. But saving someone from the truth never helped anyone in the long run. DS lies down the fact. On the topic of having GF and playing around.

I have a very normal and good middle class girl in Davao. Never tasted alcohol and was a virgin when we met. A bit naive but a strong and emotional/intuitive girl, with integrity and a honest mind. My situation is special since she knows I can not fully commit to her, but we have a very good relationship and she likes what she has (and what she gets in terms of money, entertainment, care and sex). She asked me if I see other girls and I told her that I on some occasions have had one night stands or "got a massage with a happy ending" when I was stressed. I also told her that some persons are restless and can't eat the same dish every day. That I am one of those persons that get depressed if I am suppressed or controlled. She was a bit sad but learned that it is not personal so she does not give me a hard time for it. It is of curse all about packeting and PR, but what I want to say is that sometimes one can lie a little bit less and actually get some acceptance for the true nature of oneself.

All of you that are now thinking "yea right, this girl is a cheater, con artist, ****, gold digger, etc, and Barba is just not so experienced in seeing through such women". You are wrong. This only reflects your state of mind and your inability to trust that someone else can achieve what you failed to achieve. Life is a compromise and most people know it. All girls are different in personality and acceptance, for sure but the pretension that we never get attracted to anyone else and have a "one and only true love" is in my opinion a manifestation of the fact that many middle aged and older men still have a 14 year old boys way of dealing with their relationships. Especially the ones that come to Phil to finally score. The more we lie about things, the less acceptance we get for our true nature. Pinays are jealous owners but they are also adaptive to an extraordinary extent, and if the transaction (not only financial) is just interesting enough my experience is that a few "errors or flaws" in ones personality is forgiven.

Yesterday I received a text mesage from the lovely 20y/o Jobeth. It read "have you learned your lesson yet?" What she means is that I was very "rude" to her to question her being only SEVEN HOURS LATE to meet me last January 3.

I was getting new lenses for my reading glasses and I broke out laughing when I read her post. Woman in the store looked at me, wondering what was so funny with the lenses I was examining. I just had to forward the text to GE so he could share my laughter.

Yes Jobeth IS definitely a "charitable, forgiving" woman. The reason is only too bovious: her employer, the "attorney" from the USA either ended his holiday in Davao and departed or found a replacement for Jobeth. Most likely the former as Jobeth is a very hot lady.

Now she is in the state of dilemma many davao ladies find themselves, "no honey, no money". What was my reply? I asked only, "do you miss me?" She then said, "only if you are good". What a magnanimous, gratuitous lady!

I did not text any more as I was just laughing at the situation. Exactly what I told GoodEnough would happen with her. Again, I HATE ALWAYS BEING RIGHT!

Don't usually do 'righteous indignation', as it is not my style, as anyone who has any knowledge of my contribution to ISG will confirm. I just assumed that with you mentioning that 'He makes a desperate plea for help to GoodEnough on the "Living in the Philippines" website', that he was an ISG member. Guy ought to be, as warnings about the frequent duplicity and overall untrustworthiness of many Filipinas (but by no means all, thank god) has been fair beaten to death so many times on the Philippine Forum, that to be caught out by the obvious tricks of a scammer would be damned careless for an ISG'er.

I too have met characters similar to the one you described. There is a saying in my part of the world that 'the older they are, the dafter they act'. It never fails to amaze me that mature, sometimes elderly and probably otherwise sensible guys, can behave in such a naive and foolish manner when they step foot on Philippine soil (or Thailand or any other exotic destinations). Must be something in the water. All very sad as they trundle along to disaster. Yet another geriatric train wreck believing that a girl young enough to be their daughter (or granddaughter) is madly in love with anything other than their wallet. Everyone else can see it apart from them.

Yet another cautionary tale to remind us all of the human jungle that we live in.

I thought DS had a good point as those on the ground likely see too many sad cases of us older guys thinking with our dicks and not our brains. Happens to us all at some time in our life.

Even in the UAE some of the Filipinas I know and meet are looking out for a honeyko/moneyko. Some are more mercenary than others and I know of one who is very much into swap the boyfriend if the new one has more cash etc. These guys get taken big time eventually. Yes they get the pussy but that cannot compensate for losing a lot of cash etc.

Even I have 'counselled' some guys on their choice of girlfriend as it is plain to me and others that the girl is out for all she can get but love (or shaved pussy) is blind at times

First off, Wow, my favorite board has gotten a little hostile lately. I always enjoy the DS forum because it seems to me all the idiots are off on some other forum waxing poetically about how great they are and meanwhile putting down others. I also believe the posters here offer far more relevant and informative posts than other boards. So, ok, enough of the dick sucking, lets get down to the topic at hand.

Second, I do not want to start some sort of pinay bashing on this forum. This topic has been done ad nausea on other forums and blah, blah, blah, it gets old after awhile. As per Jackson, the purpose of ISG is for men to exchange information on the topic of sex between men and women. Therefore, I believe the subject of old man/young women is applicable to the forum. However, this is not the end of the spectrum for pinay scammers.

Where I live, we have many bars here (about 100), all staffed by pinay and owned by Korean. Without giving away my position, I am directly involved in the process of these girls getting their Visas to the US. Of course the [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord908][CodeWord908][/url] business is alive and well here. Prostitution not as much, but it does exist. Now I could end this situation with one well placed phone call, but the girls beg me not to as they do not want to return to the PI. Gen San and Davao in particular which is why I am writing this today.

At some point in our lives, we all here have learned about females getting us to perform actions beneficial to them and detrimental to ourselves. Whether we learned this on the playground in 3rd grade or later in our 30’s, we have learned the lesson and apply it to our current lives. Unfortunately, some men never learn this lesson even in their 60’s.

With so many young guys around, and very few non bar girl females, these pinay are shooting fish in a barrel. I see these girls as wanting nothing more than Visas but most guys fall prey to the "I love you babyko" bullshit. Most BG’s do not know I can understand basic Tagalog, so it is often humorous for me when they speak with each other and talk about the guy right in front of them.

To the trained eye, these girls clearly do not love these guys, and only see them as a means to get to the US. I say this because I have heard the same lines so often, I almost have them memorized myself. Age ranges are from 18-36 for the guys, and usually they are from the Midwest USA and have never seen the exotic pinay before. Mesmerized is how I would describe it. The usual MO is to have the girl get knocked up, and then they "must" get married because of religion. The process is involved, lengthy, and expensive. When it comes to filling out the forms, usually the guy is completely bewildered, however the female knows every form by number and where the guy needs to sign. They usually pick them out of the pile and place them in front of the guy to sign, saying, "Sign here babyko, and here, and initial here". In all my time here, absolutely no amount of counseling is able to dissuade these guys from marrying these girls. Oh yea, and they are all "good girls", some with three Filipino kids in tow, up to 10 years old. The usual response is, "this one is different".

I want to relate a true story of a guy who worked for me. He is 36 years old, very intelligent, two Masters Degrees from the U. Of Oklahoma, one in business and the other in global finance. He was able to do complex math equations in his head, extremely good at business, making six figures, and he fell in love with a BG. I cannot even begin to calculate the amount of money he spent on this girl, as he took her to lunch mostly every day, and had to pay mamasan a fee to do so. Now here is the good part, he never fucked her because she was a virgin "good girl". (I laughed out loud when he told me this.) This went on for a year or so, and he told me they were going to get married in Philippines to avoid all the paper work up here. He was nothing to look at, tall guy but about 50 kg overweight. She was 26yo and about a 7 from Bulacan province.

I asked him one day if he thought his girl was the best looking girl in the ville. He replied in the affirmative. I told him that before he gets married, he should come with me on one of my trips to AC, just so he could see the Phils before hand and know what he was getting into. He told me he would have to ask the BG first. Well, as you can imagine, her eyes got wide and she told him she would break up with him if he went to AC with me. I then told him, "I will take you somewhere else, and you will see maybe 1000 girls who look exactly like her only not working in a bar. " His response, "yea, but they would not be her".

Time comes for the big day, and I tell the guy that due to work, I cannot let him have the time off to go to Phils to get married. He tells me he is going anyway and does not care about the job anymore. The very next day I call him to my office and he is freakin balling! Turns out, that night the girl said he had to support her family also. His response was that he would buy an internet café for them and they could make their own money. Well, that was not good enough for her, so she broke it off with him over a txt message. Guys, I cannot describe what it is like to have a 36 yo man in your office balling his eyes out over a txt message, sobbing, snot coming out, heaving breaths. I directed him to the chaplain and put him on suicide watch for the weekend.

Fast forward two weeks.comes out that the girl was not a virgin, but has only had two Filipino BF in the past. (Yea right) All is better now as he tells me the txt was a complete misunderstanding. (Uh huh) And the wedding is back on. My response was to ask him if he was going to drive that car before he bought it. He told me he had a ‘special weekend’ planned at the hotel. I went on vacation at this point.

I returned and found that the guy had transferred jobs so I called him to find out the end of the story. Well, he did not get married, because the girl said she still wanted to work in the bar after the wedding, and he wanted her to go to college. She refused and went home to Phils because her contract was up here. Oh yea, and he still sends her money once a month for expenses because he still loves her. How much you ask? Sometimes $300, sometimes $500 USD by Western Union per month.

I suppose I could have just quoted Gamahucher and wrote, "It happens to young guys also", but that would have been boring. Sorry for the long post.

Thanks for the excellent post. It's a welcome addition to other, similar posts warning older guys like me not to confuse lust with love and admonishing everyone not to conflate delusion with reality. Unfortunately, I doubt that those who need to pay the most attention will pay it any mind at all. I heard of a story recently in which some 70 year-old guy met an married a 30-something in the Philippines, brought her back to the US, and then watched in hapless amazement as she ran off to be with another boyfriend in the US with whom she had been corresponding for some time. People, it seems, never learn.

I cannot count the number of guys who, once warned, contend: "But this girl is different," only to find of course, that she's like many other talented scam artists. The one common denominator seems to be that these guys have not had on-demand, decent sex in years and cannot believe their seemingly good fortune. They don't realize that these girls have sex as easily as sneezing, and that for the ladies, it's merely a means to a very lucrative end.

DS and I talk often about this topic, and the conclusion of both of us is to look with extreme skepticism at anything you may hear from these ladies, and never, never to assume that you're being told the truth. The bottom line for me is to be a kind as you can, as generous as you feel you should be, but to remember, and to keep reminding yourself, that the sex is just sex and has no loftier meaning. This can be a great place to visit and an even better place to live so long as you retain your wits and your common sense.

Thanks for sharing that story. I was one who found myself in the PI after divorce and years of loneliness, and the sudden experience of sex with a gorgeous young girl makes heroin look like One-a-Day vitamins.

One of my mentors in the Philippines says if you get married, keep her in the Philippines. (I suggest don't get married.)

It is amazing how even the most mediocre chicks can pull these cons.

Good observations GE and you and DS are better placed then most of us to see this happen and share those ‘bad luck’ stories with us.

I posted a while back about a friend of mine (not ISG) who regularly visits the country and had a long term girlfriend – he likes them 22-28, bisexual and naughty. He has been with her a year or more, bought land, house, appliances only to find out while he was back in the home country working (he does 4-6 weeks on and 2-3 weeks off) she had disappeared with all the appliances. Her accomplice was her husband......and the family, who by then he knew well also, knew about her husband.

Now this guy is not some dumb arse, he is IMHO, a sensible and regular guy in his 60s has had many Filipina girlfriends before and was in what he considered a stable relationship. He had met scammers and had learned his lessons or so he thought. But even he said that sometimes his little brain worked rather than the one in head and now he is paying for it. He is however friendly with the chief of police in the town/city/province so is slowly but surely getting restitution (ie she is in jail, he is slowly recovering what he can) but that is rare I am sure.

I would always recommend that someone like goes around the country and visit the bars etc. Something akin to that Carmex suggested to his friend/colleague. That way the newbies can get a feel for how much lovely ladies there are and how willing they may or may not be to be our honeyko and babyko forever

We all make mistakes and all, at times, think with the other brain especially when she is sucking it  But we all should read the posts here about this and learn as even when we are six feet under men will still be making the same mistakes.
