Has anyone encountered any issues / hassles at Suwarnabhoomi airport because their passport was due to expire in less than 6 months?
Mine has 5 months left so wondering how strictly will they implement this rule. In some countries there have been occasional case of fascism.
Anyone?

Anyone?
You may not even get to BBK. When I depart from the USA, the airline checks the expiration date on my passport before issuing my ticket.

Anyone?
Paul K has answered the Q -- you will (or should be) denied boarding in the USA. Your airline is liable for a fine (I don't know how much) and is responsible for the cost of your immediate return to the US if by chance you get aboard. The fine for the airline was US $1 k some years ago, so they take the visa check seriously.
You should be able to get a passport quickly, however. Good luck!
TTG.
Is this website reliable guys?

Anyone?
Don't take a chance. Just get your passport renewed before you leave and rest easy. Only takes a couple of days if you get the expedited service.
SW4.

It is up to us to make sure of this validity requirement. It can be a bummer to reach the airport and not be allowed to get in.
Yes. The Devil's den is a reputed joint in Pattaya just like the Eden's in BKK. The website is authentic but the photos may be a bit touched up. I have not taken this particular girl but have availed the services of two other girls. The services are good though a bit mechanical but the costs are reasonable.

It is an international convention; widely publicized and understood and you will find it clearly stated on EVERY visa information blurb for every country in the world.
I personally know a US traveller with more than 5 months (but less than 6) remaining on his PP who managed to get past the airline check-in in the USA only to find that he was stopped from entry to the Philippines. He was held in a room until the return flight was ready to leave and he was frog-marched back on board. He argued that he was here for 9 days only; he waved his ticket around as proof. Sorry Sir. Rules is rules.
He forfeited his ticket and it was a long arduous lesson learned. Imagine flying from New York to Manila, spending around 1 hour in the airport and flying back again.
Be sure to arrange for a new passport before you leave.
Thanks everyone who replied to my question. I have decided heed the advice you have given and head to passport office.
Thanks again.

Anyone?
I'm a bit late chiming in here (traveling around Sri Lanka). I had this happen to me once, 3 or 4 years ago. My passport had just under 6 months the before renewal date.
I bought the ticket online, provided passport number, no problem. I checked in at the EVA counter, checked luggage, they checked passport, no problem.
I got to the gate, boarding process started, they check passports as you're boarding. The rent-a-cop lady looked at it and pulled me out of line. She said my passport was expiring soon. Oh, shit. My heart sank. I protested that I'd passed all other checks and nobody had said a word. She then handed me over to one of the EVA agents, who just said don't worry, they will send a message to Thailand asking if it's OK for me to come. I waited by the check-in desk for 5 to 10 minutes (it seemed like an hour) as one of the agents typed into the computer and talked on the phone. Then a message came in, she handed me my passport, and they let me board.
Once in Thailand I breezed through passport control with no problems and heard nothing about it again.
Needless to say I renewed it as soon as I returned. But, apparently having a passport due to expire isn't an automatic denial of entry.
I would not want to travel to anywhere with only 6 months or less remaining until your passport expires. Almost every country I can recall visiting in the last several years has this 6 month policy in place. If you made it through so far, then count your lucky stars and get thee to your country embassy to renew.

Anyone?
Thailand is one of the few countries that lets you in with less than 6 months on your passport so long as you have a return ticket. Why thay do this I do not know, but it does create problems which they seem to not care about. The idea of the rule is that you will have time to get back to your country of origin before your passport expires, you can go to your own country with just a few days left on it. Problem is that some countries do not issue passports abroard, they insist you go back to your home country to get one, and that is why so many hang about Suk Soi 3 etc, their passport has expired and they cannot get another. This is usually not a problem with first world countries, and mainly affects the dark continent.
Good that you were successfull. I find it a bit tiring since especially around Sukhmuvit area you have a lot of ladyboys using it. Some advertise as such some unfortunately don't. Others quite plain / chubby looking ladies offered their services for over the market rate. Guess its really hit or miss.
Have used this on this trip, anyone who says ladies are not trolling on here have not even tried. My experience after the initial greeting. By about the 3rd reply is where your room LOL.

I have also had to ask once the chat started of their origin. As same as I meet them in person. A polite no thank you.

At the 4:10 minute mark on this video, I had a good laugh as the Alpine stereo dancers at the recent 2015 Bangkok Motor Show busted out their freestyle dance moves. .
