Well I think it is not a business hotel where people come for work and stay while on work it is just a botique hotel specifically built for vacations for holiday goers and provide a excellant relaxing atomsphere. I think the crticisim going on all over here is just because that no other hotel owner or manager is that friendly in attitude towards customers as is here and in this friendship i think customers set high expectations in return and forget that after all it is a business oriented concern and nothing ofcourse is free in business world.
One thing we all are forgettting here is that because room number is small so things tend to get expensive comparing to hotel with higher number of rooms as its a number game so i agree it is not cheap and is expensive due to this reason but for such a lovely privacy one has to pay more.
Just imagine a private beach costs more comparing to a public or semi public beach.
Giotto is not on public welfare mission and he is here to earn handsomely so cheers and enjoy.

I have spent the time since you beat me working out why it was so. I finally worked it out!! I need to share this with other members so you can be neutralized when playing pool from now on.
Giotto has had the pool table especially made for him and all the pockets have a unique entry angle which only Giotto has the formula too. I have engaged the services of a pure mathematician and we are tantalizingly close to cracking the entry angles. When next we play next he will be traveling with me along with his abacas!! (-:

Livingstones Lodge cannot suit everyone perfectly of course.
It is not CHEAP to some, but it is extremely good value for money to others.
Where else can you get the free Wifi Internet, a nice swimming pool, comfortable beds, location, etc. for this price?
One question. I had a bad experience with taxi going via many small Sois with serious traffic jam when I was trying to get to the airport (suwanaphum). What route is suggested as fastest during heavy traffic?
I was considering walking down to Sukhumwit and catching taxi on the other side. But is maybe a bit extreme.
My only problem is that since I now have a well established history of playing up at the lodge, then I can really only use the lodge when in play-up mode.
In other siuations I may be forced to stay somewhere else that is likely to be either inferior or significantly more expensive.
Its tough to find enough time to spend with ALL the girls I like and to keep them all happy. And I'm not even in Thailand most of the time like Giotto.

Very diffucult to give a recommendation. To go through the small roads (Soi 33, Soi 31, Soi 39) to Petchaburi and then via Rama 9 to the airport can last during the rush hours.
The alternative is to go down to Sukhumvit Soi 1, and directly enter the expressway. This can last, too, during heavy traffic.

Now I understand what people mean by your hospitality, you're making me feel at home already. I can hardly wait to actualy get there and see how much better it can get. I can see for 5 star treatment I will have a choice of the Bangkok Hilton, or Livingstones, but I believe ST is much cheaper at 'The Hilton', a bowl of rice I believe. Mmmm decisions, decisions!
