Asuncion

I am quite certain that a hotel being designated as "international" has absolutely nothing to do with water quality. I would not even brush my teeth with that water, and I don't care if I am staying in the Guaraní Place or the Sheraton or wherever.

'Cutter' is the best bug spray. I was in Nicaragua and the mosquitoes there drink 'Off. ' You put it on your skin and the next thing you know, the mosquitoes are doing the backstroke in it.

This morning news covered another brothel being shut down. I guess someone didn't pay the "taxes".

Couldn't tell which place it was, but the neighbor in the interview told that the place was running since September. So it was a short lived run.

I will go with the webpages first, then call and negotiate. The streetwalkers here arent worth the trouble.

Hello DH,

I stayed at the Ibis in front of the Shopping Del Sol and I drank the water from the tap and did not get sick.

I remember you said you brought a hot water maker with you to boil water and I did that too but mine was 120 volts and I connected an inverter to it so that I could use the 220 volt socket and I blew the circuit breaker twice so I did not use it. I'll buy a 220 volt hot water maker next time.

I'll bring "Cutter" insect spray next time. Twice I was swarmed by a Monster group of insects. I did not know what kind they were as I ran so fast to get away! I did not get bit. But one poster said his bites started to swell up. Thanks for the info!

The people In ASU were very nice to me and I really want to return! Suerte.

Did not see even a single one. It's the time of the year, usually rainy season when the insects and mosquitoes breed. I had good weather, from late 70's to 90's F. Also I found most places to be clean and did not have to use any of those things listed under Ken Apples' "Guide to Asuncion for Newbies". Must be earlier times. I do carry flip flops though for shower as I do use them in the gym in the USA too as the floor probably does not get cleaned after visits. I also carry some toilet paper every country I go to as I have been to some countries where it may be hard to find a toilet, let alone toilet paper! I left Ken Apples goodies that I carried in Asuncion on the way back to reduce the weight in the baggage. Comparing Peru to Paraguay, I can visit Peru for the Amazon and Maccu Piccu, not Lima and I also do find Paraguay people very friendly and a possible return visit. Asuncion, a laid back city in a laid back country! Can't get better than drinking litres of beer with well cooked beef with Yuka root at a low cost!
Asuncion, a laid back city in a laid back country!
I did use the tap water in the hotel to brush my teeth and had no problems. For drinking, I would buy the 4 - 5 litre bottles of water from the El Pais grocery market together with the beer and repeat when needed to be replaced. Bottled water is cheap in the grocery market. I had no stomach problems in Paraguay at all while I did in Peru.

If I remember right, I had a camp stove with me. On the Cutter, they do sell it in a spray but I use and recommend the liquid out of the pump bottle. You get better coverage if you rub it on and the liquid is better for that. Plus, the can is kinda big for traveling. One thing I should mention is I never wear shorts outdoors in Latin America so that helps with the skeeters. Usually I will tuck my pants into my socks around the times the skeeters are biting.

Peru, been there four times, got sick four times, including once that lasted for about six months. I was careful as hell, too.

Visiting Paraguay for the first time and just arrived in Asuncion this morning. The Paraguay section has been pretty dead, but based on older posts, I decided my best options were Parada on 838 Iturbe, PY Escorts on 462 Cerro Cora, and Valkirias at 905 Azara. (Thanks to all who contributed to this thread.).

I just finished a punt at Parada and was disappointed. I didn't feel very welcome and I stupidly chose the girl (Jessica) who I was most attracted to out of the 4 available, even though she seemed a bit stand-off-ish during the introduction. I paid 100 mil for a 30 minute session. I said it should be 100 mil for 45 minutes, but she disagreed. She really seemed like she was unhappy to work there. Also, I usually pay for extras such as BBBJ and CIM, and I was under the impression that these were option here, but not with Jessica. When I asked for extras, she seemed like she really didn't want to do anything that required her mouth and no condom.

Won't be going back to Parada, but will definitely try PY Escorts or Valkirias, and hope for a better experience. If not, at least I'll be in Buenos Aires next week for some proper punts!

Maybe you chose the wrong woman. I had a great relationship with the women there and had a wonderful time. I can't remember the names, never could even if someone told me their name 10 times! I just can't remember names of people. Takes a while.
Maybe you chose the wrong woman. I had a great relationship with the women there and had a wonderful time...
HM, might be a YMMV situation, or maybe you got along better because you Spanish is way better than mine, haha.

Went for my 2nd punt today. Went to 905 Azara at 2:30 pm. Only 2 girls were available. One was way too obese for me, so I chose the first one, the one who opened the door for me. I do have to admit that she was less attractive and older than the four girls in the line-up I saw yesterday at 838 Iturbe. Even though she was older and saggier than yesterday's options, she did seem happier and more customer service oriented. Damage was 100 mil for 30 minutes.

I also have to admit that even though the quality isn't like my beloved FKKs in Germany and other hot spots around the globe, you can't beat the price! Definitely the lowest I've ever paid for mongering!

Appreciate all your posts and info!

Anybody in ASU over New Years Eve?

I could really need some wingman. (Its boring here :( )

Not into mongering, but I do speak basic spanish, and more into direct pick ups.

Let me know, if someone out here in for a good time and lets grind some clubs. Cheers.

I will be there and looking for mongering partner.

Cheers

On Sundays, the Grand Hotel de Paraguay lays out quite a spread. It's a traditional parrilla. Beef, pork, and chorizo are cooked over open flames then hand carved for your plate according to your directions. You enjoy it all in a big dining room with an elaborately hand-painted wooden ceiling and murals on all the walls. A harpist serenades. All-you-can-eat parrilla, salad, and dessert is US $12 a person.

What is the cost for a short term visa? How do you obtain a short term visa?

Please advise.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_policy_of_Paraguay
If you are a from a country that you need a visa, instead of $160.00 on arrival for 90 days, go to the Paraguayan embassy and get the visa there for the same price but for the life of your passport. Better.
