In my opinion, The ISG is for mongering and sex/date oriented discussions about girls in Thailand. Therefore I believe that non-mongering stuff ought to be separate and the "General" thread seems appropriate.

Many of us don't want to read a lot of stuff where thread did not even start faintly related to mongering. I hope I haven't been guilty too often (probably have).

I believe the Bangkok Thread is therefore intended for Bangkok mongering experiences, such as bargirls, freelancers, etc. in Bangkok, that do not better fit in any more specific category. Escorts and Bangkok MPs have their own threads.

Of course I'm still waiting for Tulip and Annies threads to be merged back into MPs, as those threads are historically in a disastrous mess. :D

On the other hand if someone, who doesn't know better posts a new topic in the wrong thread, its not the end of the world, in my view. There is never going to be perfection.

Found this article on Bargirls discussing the bar scenes and I have to agree with a lot of the sentiments so I thought I would post a link for anyone intested in recommended Bangkok bars (go-go etc.) in 2009:

Have been to Baccara recently and must say the standard has risen dramtically over the last year, as have the number of girls, and have the prices. Drinks are expensive now. Some other bars cheaper.

Girls numbers ranged from 1 to about 300 so seemingly have heaps of girls in total but not all in attendance.

Standard for prettier girls to start at asking 4K LT now. otherwise they could do multiple STs in preference. So many Japanese customers willing to pay plenty to compete with.

On Sat night, one pretty girl (to my taste) had several guys come looking for her (yes I saw them), so she didn't have to take any low offers.

It was pointed out to me that Girl No. 80 was consistently the busiest every month in terms of most barfines, so probably only does ST. She had a somewhat similar to Japanese look about her (face egg shaped) but very plain in my eyes. I would not even give her a second glance.

I liked a girl from Sisaket (I thought aged 23 but she said 26) with pretty eyes, nose, lips, cheeks, hair, bottom, etc. and one or two others.

But these are usually the prettier girls who get bar fined regularly and make their money purely from drink commissions and customer "tips"/payments.

The prettier girls knock back plenty of customers that do not appeal to them.

Some bars have girls of suspect age that may not be able to go to Hotels that check their Ids. Be careful!

If you want to talk about Massage there are three threads, one for Annies, one for Tulip and one for all others.

In fact, it should be very easy for even the most simple minded person to work out what to post and where. However, of course, there are people who want to use the threads to gain attention, they do not want to post in a quiet thread and they get "no attention" and these attention seekers seek to disrupt other threads with off topics in order to get attention.

Then there are those being paid for marketing who "name drop" on the wrong threads to get attention. Then there are fake names who "name drop" for marketing only. Etc etc. Etc.

If everyone would use the right threads the site would be much easier to use. And if everyone would ignore off topic posts or direct the people to the right thread. Again things would get much more simple for people wanting quick and easy access to information about what they want.

When I go to the Bangkok Reports thread, I want to read reports about places in Bangkok where I can consider going.

When I go to the Massage. Tulip thread, I want to read reports about Tulip.

If I go to the Expat section (no thanks) then I would be looking for informaiton in the thread types over there.

The trouble is, as the OTH situation proved, there are some posters on here who are purely attention seeking and they do not and will not stick to the related threads, they seek "attention" by going off topic all over the place as they only want to post where the most people are reading.

You are right, that is why your opinions and observations makes it hard to stick on one particular topic with crossing another! Your statement above says it all. That's why this topic will never die because we aren't perfect as you stated so why do people continue to suggest otherwise because we aren't perfect!

So we will all try to stick to a particular topic for a few days and since we aren't perfect we will sooner or later cross over again and someone will bring up the suggestion again and the world continues to turn!

So why don't you post a few field reports mate? You claim to do hundreds of P4P sessions a year and yet going through the past 123 posts you made I hardly see any field reports to speak of. I see a bunch of posts deriding various establishments and a bunch of banking and mobile phone tips but don't see so many reports about places in Bangkok where I can consider going. I reckon I could learn a thing or two from you if you focused on sharing experiences rather than trying to organize the forum.

I do occasionally mention a place or two, but thats it.

I do not give a monkies what anyone else has done, the only information I need is where, what or who.

Interesting comments coming from ISG's encyclopedia. You might not notice but everytime someone isn't sure of a name of doesn't write the Thai correctly, you make a whole post about Thai language and how it should be written/pronounced.

Now I agree that we should try and not go off topic so often, but you ought to practice what you preach ;)
