Just got back from Cartagena. Had a wild time.

[B]Avianca Strike:[/B]

If you've been to Cartagena in the last two months you probably profited from Avianca's strike. Evidently domestic service to Cartagena was disrupted due to a strike. It hurt the local tourism as Avianca has the most flights to Cartagena. I laughed when one of the women in the plaza told me they would be bored all night checking their phones for the latest news on Avianca.

[B]Pricing:[/B]

Everyone was up for 200 k for short time. I never heard a no. I could have gotten as low as 150 k if I tried a bit. 200 is a sweet spot for me as they tend to hang around more with money in their pocket.

Monday. Worse day for any kind of action. Most chicas take this off. You'll still find some but it will be far less than usual.

Tuesday. Not the best day but more chicas than Monday.

Wednesday to Sunday. Primetime. Saturday and Friday are the busiest. Pack them condoms!

Day time action:

* [B]Playa Hollywood[/B] - last beach in Bocagrande. If you're sitting alone expect hookers to make passes at you. I was suprised at how aggressive they've become. If you're having trouble finding them tell your server you'd like to meet some local women. He'll send them over to you.

Most will start around 10 pm and peak at 11:30 PM.

[B]Torre de Reloj Plaza[/B]: Ground zero. Show up at 11 pm and most chicas will be standing around before going to their respective hang outs. A vast majority will try to get you to a hotel for short time. I usually just get phone numbers and do small talk. This is the best place to hookup as chicas are standing and you can size them up all you want. This plaza is active well into 3 or 4 am on the busy nights as chicas will constantly pull customers to nearby short time hotels.

[B]Isis Strip club[/B]: Touts will happily show you the way from the Plaza. Most expensive option. 300 k for short time (20 k to the hotel, 280 k to the house). No negotiating from what I can see. The hotel is a shit hole in my opinion.

[B]La Dulce Vida[/B]: Hooker bar. Most chicas will happily go for 200 k but will want more for TLN. Again most will want to take you to a nearby hotel so it pays to get their number at some point to bring back to your place whenever you want. Great place to dance and drink with your hooker. Watch your bill!

[B]Elektra[/B]: this club has become THE after hours. I did not go but all the chicas told me that it's taken over from Space. I didn't pay attention to Space but from what I gathered it closes early now? Maybe someone else can confirm.

[B]Other clubs:[/B] Some clubs will want a cover fee if you bring in a hooker. Others will outright ban hookers like Alquimico. I did bring a chica into Alquimico but by mostly teaching her my broken Italian and then just had both of us ask to go in in Italian. The security was not impressed and kept giving her dirty looks hahahaha.

Do not go to Pleyclub in Cartagena (it's not in Centro). First of all you'll need to go with a local or two who will charge a fee. There's nothing there you won't already get in Centro for cheaper. Literally when I laughed in the face of a tout pushing Pleyclub he even agreed it's a scam to milk guys out of more money. You'll find everything you need between Bocagrande and centro (the old city).

[B]Other notes:[/B]

* I highly recommend smiling and always being friendly. I saw some guys who like to give the hookers dirty looks and I'm not sure what they're trying to achieve.

* If you see a chica you want who is alone (and is a hooker) don't be afraid to ask her number. If you're already with a hooker let the hooker you're with know you're going to get a phone number and will be right back. I've been called "demonico" because of how many numbers I collect in a night. The next day your whatsapp is full of sexy photos with chicas begging to get some of the action hahaha. Jealousy was only an issue once and I cut that chica loose.

[B]Highlights of my trip:[/B]

* The chica I flew down from Medellin behaved pretty well but did suck up a bit of money going jet skiing. I felt bad for her. She'd never been to Cartagena and was very passive most of the time. She got an early ticket back four days into the trip. We discussed it and she wasn't cool with me bringing back chicas at 2 am drunk off my ass. No shame in that. She has her boundaries.

Spent 4 days last week in Cartagena. Got cheap tickets on Copa Chicago-Panama (overnight stay) -Barranquilla-Chicago for 372 $. Initially was planning to spend one night in Barranquilla but after changed mind and decided to spend all time in Cartagena. Uber from Barranquilla airport to Cartagena cost me 250000 pesos, back to Barranquilla airport 155000 pesos. There's bus service called Marsol which is way cheaper for 24000 per person but they don't pick or drop at Ernesto Cortissoz airport. Booked one of the Juan's apartments in Laguito next to Hilton for 80 $ per day. Apartment itself was nice with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms but in my opinion it's little expensive for 1 person. I saw cheaper and nicer apartments with Jacuzzi, pool and gym in airbnb. Since I wasn't sure about guest policy in those buildings I just didn't want to take a chance. Taxi from Laguito to walled city cost on uber between 8 to 15 k pesos depend on hours.

First night (Wednesday) I went with a friend to ISIS, saw quite a few hot looking girls there, but didn't take any girl due high prices something like 100 $ for 1 hour. After ISIS we went to Dolce Vita, as soon as we walked in I saw a girl who I really liked and decided to take her home. She quoted 150 $ for 1-2 hour, I immediately lost interest in her and didn't try to negotiate. Around midnight we went to clocktower, saw around 40 girls there. Only 8-10 of them was 7 looking, rest below. My friend managed to take a cute and innocent looking young girl from Venezuela to his hotel, 400 k for overnight stay. Elektra is now the after hours spot. Girls from La Dolce Vita and the Clock Tower Square who haven't snagged a customer for the night usually go to Elektra to try and find a willing taker there. Just got back from my Cartagena trip 2 days ago and I had a great time. I will post a full report in the next few days.

I arrived on a Saturday afternoon. I arrived during Cartagena Independence Day Celebrations which is actually a week long celebration in Cartagena. The streets were filled with people, dancing, parades, and the atmosphere was pretty crazy. I arrived during the end of the celebrations, so Sat and Sunday were the last days of the celebrations before everything went back to normal on Monday.

Clock Tower: IMO the best place to pickup girls and get numbers. Almost every girl I asked quoted 200 k pesos. Some will be willing to go to 150 k but at 200 k I don't bother negotiating the extra 50 k. During my 1st 2 nights the square was already pretty busy with chicas I would say from 9:30 pm onwards due to the Independence Day celebrations. On a typical night I would recommend checking out the square around 10:30 pm. Peak time is around 11 to 12, but sometimes you will get lucky and snatch up a dime in the early hours. If you're on a budget then the clock tower square is the best hunting ground for you. Some of the same chicas can be found at LDV as they usually make their way over there after 1130 pm but they may quote you a slightly higher price at LDV. LDV does have it's advantages too, which you are paying a premium for in terms of higher drink prices, but in return you have a nicer atmosphere, which I will talk about later. There will be people walking around selling beers at the clock tower for 3 k pesos. You can also go to the store closeby and buy beer for 2-2.5 k each depending on the brand.

Venezuelan girls: There are many Venezuelan girls around. You will meet them everywhere. I had a total of 5 girls during my trip, 2 of them were Venezuelan, and they were both amazing. The first Venezuelan girl literally thanked me saying "She hasn't had good sex / orgasmed in weeks." haha, and the 2nd Venezuelan girl, also orgasmed and was complete GFE. One of the nicest girls I met during my trip (Although I must say I got lucky, all girls I was with this trip treated me well.) - and her sex was extremely passionate. It is about 300 k for a short time at a closeby hotel but the girls are willing to come to your place for 200 k during the day. In my opinion some of the hottest girls I saw during my trip were from Isis. They have a very solid lineup that should satisfy all tastes in women. I personally love curvy, big booty women, and was able to get the number of a girl from Medellin at Isis that was one of the hottest girls I saw. 100% my type, with a ridiculous booty. ' You can get a girl the whole day with you (including at night) if you agree to pay her multa to 'la empresa. ' I actually did this last November and it was 150 k at the time. Its a fine they pay if they want to skip out on work. You then pay the woman whatever you negotiate with her. Some of the chicas grow so bored of working every night they'll do it for 300-400 k if they enjoy your company. I only did it once and that chica wanted me to be her novio after I left but I never took her up on it.

Then, the owner got some financial problems and had to close. Further attempts to revive it were Elektricita, or something like that, and then Space (pronounced "EPAICE"). They never managed to even approach the traditional ambience and atmosphere of Elektra.

I am so excited to know that Elektra is back!! Can you specify what is its location? It would be great, if they recovered the original location, with patio. I have so many memories from those times, those nights. I was even having a nap at 11pm, to go straight to Elektra at 3am.

Sorry for not having the street itself. There are touts including some who will hold a sign with the clubs name in the plaza. Not hard to find.

I have been reading the forum for quite some time and figured out my "Plan of attack" for my upcoming visit to Cartagena. I will be leaving this Friday morning and staying for two weeks. I have business in Colombia, so I am quite familiar with Medellin, Barranquilla and Bogota, but never visited CTG. I have corresponded with Juan about apartments and he offered me on on his web site (Marin 1204), but I still wanted to get some opinions from more seasoned guys.

My question is this: Where is the best location to stay. On the beach? Is there a place that will let me bring girls back? I checked out the Morros City apartment that one person talked about, but I have heard from some people that it's a high end building and the doormen are getting strict about letting in women guests. Also, I wold like to be close to a good beach where I can relax. And I want to be walking distance to some good restaurants.

Does this actually exist? If I am shooting too high, please bring me back to reality. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I will write a review when I get back.[/QUOTE]Personal opinion, 1204 is a good spot. I like the building and the porteros there are like friends. It's been turned back into a 2 bedroom, with the full balcony (seaside). Another poster mentioned earlier about moving from Laguito to Bocagrande, thinking the transportation cost to El centro would be less. Actually, a taxi from Bocagrande or Laguito should be the same. The fares are set each January and are published for the public's benefit. Bocagrande and Laguito are located in the same zone, so the cost from that zone to somewhere else will be the same. What the other poster cited in a recent report here of paying Uber was typically more than what the standard yellow taxi costs from Laguito to El centro. Not uncommon to pay a little more for an Uber than a taxi in Cartagena (assuming you are paying the published fare), while just the opposite of Barranquilla where the Uber is often a couple mil pesos less.

Personally, I enjoy some of the better restaurants in the city myself, but I prefer the comfort of an air conditioned taxi when dressed appropriately for a fine restaurant. You'll pay 7 mil pesos for a taxi from Laguito to the Walled City and 8 mil after 9 pm. The minimum taxi fare in 2017 for anywhere in Cartagena is 6400 pesos. Personally think it's quite economical to taxi back-and-forth for 7 o 8 mil pesos. Staying in Laguito, you'll be in walking distance to some "good" restaurants in Bocagrande. If you want to eat at a restaurant in the Walled city or Getsemani, take a yellow taxi for 7 or 8 mil.

Where you'd be staying at in 1204 is on the water. There's beach access from the back of the parking garage if you want immediate access to a little spot just to chill. Otherwise, it's a short 10 minute walk to Playa Hollywood if you are looking for something more than just a little chill spot.

Personally, I only hassle with the brand new buildings when I know the girl well and she's going to be the one girlfriend that I am including on the reservation at the time of booking. In that scenario, you'll wifey-up at the high-end, new apartment with your one favorita, and bang any and all others in love motels.

If I want the freedom of banging different and multiple chicas back at the apartment where I'm staying each and every day, then I'm staying in one of Juan's places that I know are hassle free. 1204 is such a place.

Everybody has their own individual style, preferences, etc. , of where to stay, where to bang, and whether they like to wifey up or bang 3 different chicas each day. Do your thing and have a great time!

Reading the recent flurry of reports has me pondering a trip to CTG in the very near future, LOL. I've mostly been frequenting other parts of the country this year, but Cartagena certainly has some pluses, especially for night owls!!! Many a time I've gotten some well-deserved sleep, headed-out at 3 or 4 a.m. and then been back at the apartment doing what we do best before the sun comes up. Love those sun rises in Cartagena hahaha[/QUOTE]It's literally the best place to monger in Colombia as long as you like warm weather. It's 15-20 minutes from and to the airport to Bocagrande. There are plenty of restaurants on Avenida San Martin. The Old city is a 10 minute ride from Bocagrande and is great to visit any time night or day. Colombians on the coast love to party, are generally happy (despite any poverty) and the touts and vendors are easy to deal with if you have a good attitude.

Chicas and pricing? Excellent. The Venezuelan migration to Cartagena has put a pressure on prices where the hot headed Colombian pro would now rather go to Panama or Costa Rica. Most chicas will happily hang out with you in public because its not their hometown. Very few local hookers exist. A vast majority are visiting, including Venezuelans who come down for a few weeks at a time to make money, buy food and medicine and head back. Many are being granted residency as well.

Girl friendly apartments? Plenty. All you have to do is ask for the building rules before renting. If its your first time get a hotel room for a couple of nights and shop around for an apartment. I did that enough times I now have zero problems. I literally have people I can call who work in real estate who can hook me up. They know I go to monger and they don't give a fuck. Money is money.

Also did I mention its safe as fuck? I never had anything stolen or felt threatened in anyway. The cops, despite being crooked, will fuck up any local who tries shit on a tourist. I literally show up, get drunk and stay drunk the entire week. My only problem is I only have one cock and there's so much sweet chunky ass to fuck, hahaha.

So yeah. I know both yourself and Blackpage spent quite a bit of time in Cartagena but if you haven't been there recently then get your ass back there!
