Hotels close to Sukhumvit
I've stayed at Mercure many times and my friends still stay there. I've moved elsewhere because Mercure is so far from Sukhumvit and because I've gotten much better prices at other equivalent hotels. That 1900 baht per night is an excellent price, especially if that includes taxes and fees.
Yes that B1900 for Mercure is a very good price. Where do you stay at these days? The heat and rain in Bangkok forces me to stay close to Sukhumvit and a BTS station. Mercure is a bit far from Sukhumvit and their free tuk tuk service is unreliable.
Lucky Hotel BKK vs St James Hotel
Has anyone got an idea which amongst these is better for our hobby and overall stay. I want to stay near to the massage shops in soi 24,24/1, 26 and 33, and also bring a girl to room daily!
LE Petite Salil Sukhumvit 11
Stayed there for 3 days, affordable when booked thru Agoda (book for higher rooms), staffs are friendly, good bed and room.
Positives:
Great location just couple of minutes walk to BTS NANA. Tons of restaurants, bars, ATM, Laundry nearby.
Free snacks in the afternoon.
Girl Friendly.
Afforable (Agoda last minute deal).
Staffs try to be friendly.
Negatives.
No Pool or Gym (I did not need them).
AC takes bit long to start cooling the room.
Little bit nosier but I suppose most of the hotels in soi 11 will be the same.
Aloft soi 11 and courtyard soi 20 both GF
Stayed last month, no issues bringing girls, no registration required (at least did not ask me).
Courtyard has better breakfast than aloft also newer renovated rooms in courtyard.
