I am visiting Thailand for the first time in November for about 12 days. I need some references on a good Hotel.
In Pattaya that is clean with nice views if all possible and that allow me to have overnight guests without a surcharge.
Thanks!

Thanks!
As in the BKK forum post you did. Wrong thread. There is a Pattaya Hotel thread. Take a look around at the whole site. Alot of your questions are already answered.
What was it like when the Red Guys were last in charge?
Seems to have devolved into an obsession. Start a new thread and spare us.
Rjsss212,
In all due respect I disagree whether you are joking or not?
I remember when I came to this board in 2003, there were maybe a half dozen threads. Throughout the years this board has now grown to over 51 threads and that includes the achives which are useful but so many have been added which were unnecessary because of of a few heavy handed suggestions to Jackson to add or split threads because individuals were just too impatient to hear opinions or even disagreements. Jackson being a busy man has improve the software for his site but hasn't deleted the many useless thread that currently exist with outdated posting dates that doesn't reflect recent postings. A good example is " Opinions " this still show a posting date of 2009 when posting has been made in 2011.
In 2003, when I came to this board I didn't mind RTFF throughout the limited threads to find my information this in my opinion made me do my homework along with me reading recommendations and getting opinions good or bad so I can get both perpective. Today! As soon as you come to Thailand, you see 51 threads and human nature has shown me who the hell wants to RTFF 51 Threads so people don't read and they take the easy route instead of RTFF. As recently posting (nothing personal) someone ask a question regarding a hotel stay outside of the specific thread. This could have lead to Singkid opinion that some have taken information from forums like this and had their holiday ruined because all they got was the good opinions. Its like someone opening a Penthouse magazines and only looking at the pictures and not reading any of the good stories within the magazine.
As long as people aren't willing to be patient and allow for the discussion to run it course and suggestion of more and more threads be created and splitted you will have more useless thread than useful ones.

Literally. There is an ignore function on ISG. You won't even see their posts. I have had SK on ignore for weeks now. Don't wait. Your quality of life will skyrocket!
Actually, oddly enough upcountry just the opposite has happened to me quite a number of times. Thais get stopped, I get waved on.
Probably the cop doesn't want to mess with the language barrier. In Pattaya cops can speak some English.
With all do respect, I disagree with you. I agree with Rjsss212 and Sunlover2.
That's okay to disagree with me. But lets hear some reasons as to why? Although I have a disagreement with SK. I don't use the Ignore buttom on him or anyone they have a right to voice and so do I.

LBM
LBM,
The fact that I said I agree with the two other posters gives you the reasons. I agreed with what they said, so I didn't feel the need to be redundant and I don't like to type. However, due to SK's continual posting with no meaningful information, I think that some of us have heard enough from him. When you respond to him it just encourages him to continue the same diatribe of useless chatter. How many times do we need to hear that he thinks Pattaya is F-upped and most of the women are ugly? If he has a post that offered and useful info, I haven't seen it. Of course, at this point, I won't be looking for it either. I don't have any issues with you. I just wish you wouldn't encourage the boy. However, if you choose to respond to him then obviously that is your choice. I will just have more to scroll past.
Try the Dynasty Hotel.
I did like the dynasty until they started to hassle me about girls I bring to my room.
Including asking for 500 baht if they were not registered. I always book my room for two but
Some of the hotels still try to screw you and ask for I'd or ask for extra money.
Dynasty has been both good and bad.
Sometimes they really mess with me about any and all girls. And sometimes I have a few and they leave me alone.
Penthouse is a good hotel if you want a lot of extras in your room. Dancing pole. And some rooms have a fuck chair hanging from the ceiling. Can be loud as there is a bar downstairs. Kitten? Something like that. The girls seem to money hungry for me.
There are nice hotels everywhere. I like soi 13 as its in the middle and fairly quiet. Down the street from dynasty as I try not to stay there anymore.
I think a good one is shady spring hotel? Not sure of name. Across from massage parlor and tailor several buildings from dynasty.
No hassle ever even when I bring five girls to my room.

Now that is more than reasonable to me! That wasn't too hard was it to get off topic and say what needed to be said and we didn't have to start a new thread. Yes that is my choice and yours to scroll but until I spoke up he continued as you said and in my opinion he would have continue even now. I kept silent for over two weeks but kept up with the board while I was in the States finally when I return I said my peace and he reduced his post regarding his particular opinion about Pattaya. Hopefully you will have less to scroll now.

Pipe
Pipe Layer99,
When you look at my post after Hobbyist responded with his reasons one would hope that after I signed off the subject would have died. Thereafter I logged on and saw and read the response it was clear to me in this particular situation my belief or theory was incorrect! Therefore in this situation I would like to apologized to all! Particularly Rjsss212 and Sunlover2 for encouraging this particular subject they were correct in their assessment regarding this individual.
Now lets get to you! If you truly believe what you had written in agreement with Hobbyist then you wouldn't have responded! Instead all you did was continue to feed the topic and the monkey going against what you agree too!
Less let this topic die for once and for all and I certainly will limit my exchanges with individuals, and consider using the Ignore button as suggested! Please everyone my sincere apologise and DON'T RESPOND AGAIN TO THIS TOPIC!
