Thanks guys for the feedback. I don't think we will have problem in Thailand. We have been traveling to China for the past 10 years so while we are new to Thailand, we are not new to the hobby.

I think all Asians have the same Face thing so we can handle that.

We are there to have fun and We always know that we are guests in their country. Most Chinese in China do not like us because we have more money than they do, they only allow us there because they need our money so we do tread lightly and try not to make them feel that we are better than they are or flash our money around.

Chiang Mai people make shit up as they go along better than anyone on the planet. Also, for me personally, I see any person from any country external to Thailand, who has lived here for more than six weeks, as considering themselves to be know it alls. Then I ask them "Hey, you know how to get to the Sadist Cafe? " That usually shuts them up. It's the ultimate brew of new Mercedes 600s multizillionaire dudes on down to octogenarians on shit-for-all broken bicycles spending their last Baht. A mix of rich & poor; VIP HiSos, office workers, trash collectors, taxi drivers, country bumpkins, and lots & lots of off work massage, body massage, karaoke, and lady house girls. All sitting together at the same tables under the same huge tree, all there to consume pig hearts and entrails as they come fresh out of the animal from the slaughterhouse next door. It doesn't even open until 2 am and you don't ever see farangs, maybe they get too grossed out, (but mostly they just aren't invited, similar idea to cock fighting on Sundays all over the country.) The best part is when the pig hearts are delivered still beating. You know, e-ticket Thailand stuff?

After a while you get so you understand well enough to get along. Not about going native or anything, it's just all about having fun. Like anywhere then really.

Yeasterday, coming from the cinema and end up at Morning Night (I think it's called soo) before NEP on soi 4 for a drink with my lady. Im thinking about the fight I read about here and of course a new fight starts in front of our eyes. No blood this time but what I were thinking that strange that I have not seen more fights then I have. With a mix of so many people, alcohol, money, rich and poor people, sex etc at least one or two fights every day would be normal in Sweden. But our problem is with people that dont visit us on holiday, they coming for long time stay and taking all their problem from their homecountrys with them.

Anyway, I must say, that so far Bangkok its much safer then I first thought and much less drunk UK men in groups you normaly see when you travel. For thats a fact, drunk UK men in groups taking space and is loud is not a myth. Maybe they are in other areas? But I have meet many very friendly UK singel men that I have been talking with.

Ive seen many of the englishmen, they are redhaired and hang out in groups in Pattaya most of the time and begging for troubble.

not much savings either, when you think of what he probably had to spend at the hospital that night for treatment.....if the guy did as the girl said he did then he was dead wrong...but he didn't appear drunk or out of control, and it was just sad to see the thing escalate that fast..as other posters have noted here, not getting angry, keeping calm, and paying and walking away are all pretty intelligent things to do here...i feel lucky, i've been here 6 years and have never had anything along the line of bad incidences with women or men, but i certainly dont go looking for them

My hotel is on soi 4 so we jumped out of the taxi for a quick drink before we go to my hotel in the end of the street. She like looking, and today we were in Rainbow 4. She have never seen this shows before she say, and are amazed about the whole thing. Either she is fouling me big time or she really is honest.

About rich Japanese men I saw a man paying his drinks and had about 30k Bath in his hand, I guess he liked to flash a little to. They got cash, and the staff love the Japanese men =)

If you want to do some shopping at much cheaper prices than downtown then you have to go to Chatuchak, or weekend market as they also call it, open on Fridays through Sundays included.

Take BTS or MRT to Mo Chit and then follow the crowds. Use light clothing because it gets hot and humid in there. Apart from computing, furniture and designer cloths you can find almost everything there at discounted prices compared to downtown shopping areas. That’s where the locals go shopping.

I was short in cash and tried six different ATMs but no one was giving me the requested amount of 20.000 Baht. I thought that this was the normal max limit. Either I am mistaken or they have a lower limit on weekends. Anyway I changed some hard currency at the banks there that they were open to accommodate the shoppers.

Now you want to read something about mongering right? Well I saw many nice young ladies there both Thais and foreigners. How about that? LOL

Well I was feeling hot and dirty after shopping so I took a cab to Chaopaya II on Sri Ayutaya road. It was once the biggest place in BKK with about 300-350 girls maybe more. It is on the decline now.

I really love soapies. I love to be in the hot bath tub with a naked woman servicing me. That’s what I really like in BKK.

30k is not a lot of money in BKK nowdays.

The amount you can withdraw is based on your foreign currency accounts limits.

That will change with the daily exchange rate.

EG if you can withdraw max per day 600 US$ and the exchange rate is 50 baht then you can easily take 20,000 baht.

However if the exchange rate is 30 baht, even though the machine has the option of 20,000, you would be limited to 18,000 baht (600 x 30).

You can take 18,000, you just have to put that value in, instead of the quick option links to various amounts.

But a lot when you just go out for a drink and lady. I think. Maybe it was even more. The money-roll were so thick. What I mean is that I think he would not care if the BF is 500 or 5000 as long as he gets what he wants. Or he care, because he had all his travelling funds on him..

Many Asians are known to work all year long and save and save and save, then run off on two week holiday and spend all the money they have saved up on enjoyment. Not just in BKK but in all areas of their holiday travels.

I do not mean to generalize but many in the Asian cultures are like this.

You also have the One Week Millionaires (guys from overseas come in and blow their wad acting like they own it all to impress the ladies with cash) that are abundant in town.

So 30 K is really nothing and it happens all over. I see guys blow 200,000 peso on just drinks in Burgos (manila about 4 K USD). I've seen guys in thai bar fine 10 girls as well as buying drinks for entire clubs all night long, don't know what that bill was. And idiots throwing 500 and 1,000 baht bills on the dance floor for the girls.

I overheard several conversations with Japanese groups. Seems they flash baht to get the best girls, then negotiate long-term stays for a lower amount, but in the end do not stay with the BG for more than 1-2 days. Not sure if this is true, just what I overheard a couple of older guys telling younger guys in Rainbow and Rawhide.

Initially several girls approached me in Japanese, my response: "kortot, pom mai phoot yeppun, khun phoot engrish" Probably got the spelling wrong; however basically am saying I do not speak Japanese and do you speak English? Interestingly several girls asked me to negotiate rates for them. Another story for another time.

I've done the soapy massage parlors, the BJ bars, Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and while I loved them all. I found a new favorite mongering grounds: the Beer Garden on Soi 7.

For the benefit of people that haven't been there, it really is just a big giant beer garden filled with tall stand-up tables instead of low sit-down tables. The advantage is that everybody you walk by is at eye level with you. A very conducive atmosphere to striking up conversations.

Even though the bar is filled with freelancers, it has the feeling of going to a bar to try to pick up chicks. Of course, these chicks are easy to pick up.

If I had to guess, there were probably 50 men and 70 women there. The women were the usual mix of a few 9's? 10's, a few 4's/5's. I'd say the majority of the women were 6's and 7's.

The best attraction was the price. No bar fines and most of the girls were willing to do ST for 1, 000. Some of hotties wanted 1, 500 for ST and several of the lower quality talent was willing to take 700-800 for ST.

I'm not an expert, but it seems to me the Beer Garden is one of the best pussy values in Bangkok.
