now i understand what people mean by your hospitality, you're making me feel at home already. i can hardly wait to actualy get there and see how much better it can get. i can see for 5 star treatment i will have a choice of the bangkok hilton, or livingstones, but i believe st is much cheaper at 'the hilton', a bowl of rice i believe. mmmm decisions, decisions!
petemcc,
hmm...difficult for me to give you any recommendation if you consider to stay at the 5 star environment of bangkok hilton. it has in a way the same setup as livingstone's, but no swimming pool (as i heard). the bar is integrated in all the hotel, many younger and older partners available...but i heard some complaints about the food there.
as i remember your job is related to establishments like bangkok hilton - so that might be the right place for you to stay! on the other hand - if you want something different (it is your vacation, man) then peep inn should be considered as an option :) !

thanks for the advice giotto, but remember i am no longer a screw but a student nurse. remember i offered to run your bar and do free health checks on your ladies for a miminal fee? you of course refused, because as the saying goes, there's no such thing as free or discount at livingstones.
your place really does have me intrigued and i am specially saving all my dollars for a special night at your place, if you'll have me that is. i will forgo 4 nights in pattaya and 4lts with barfines for a night of luxury at your establishment, if you're prepared to have me. the free health checks for your girls are still on the table by the way.

LOL. I think you will find out that you cannot spent all that save money here in one night. But - just go ahead.

Well let me see. 4 nights in Pattaya@800/night= 3200
4 BF in Pattaya, max 400 each= 1600
4 Lt in Pattaya @ 1000 each= 4000
Total for 4 mights in Pattaya, with accommodation, Bf and girls all night 8,800
1 night in Livingstones about 2000
1 BF in Livingstones about 1000
1 Lt in Livingstones about 3000
Total 6000
Yep, before beer, one night in Livingstones Bangkok is cheaper that 4 nights in Pattaya. I'm only a poor student, a student nurse- come on have some sympathy. I only have so much money and I fear that your vixens will fleece me. How about a student discount?
Have a heart Giotto. Money I could spend on books that will help me pass exams will be spent on Livingstones instead. Can you live with yourself knowing that people may go without the benefit of my considerable life experiences because I can't qualify as a nurse without taking out a loan because I am staying at Livingstones?
Come on mate, 50% student discount on rooms, drinks, Bfs and girls is appropriate, and as I said, I'll offer my services for free to check your girls.
Your thoughts?
Pete
Hello buddy thanx for writing yes i do remember u and we had good time when we played pool.

Don't forget to add the additional transportation cost to get to Pattaya. That has to add at least another 1000 each way. So that might cut Pattaya down to a 2 to 1 advantage.
Since I am usually forced to stay at one of the better 5 stars when I visit Bangkok (Livingstones is not on my corporation's approved list of hotels), I view Livingstones as a comparable at half the price. And the atmosphere is unique. I have to confess I miss not being able to stay down there

I think 1Ball said it best, it's like home when away from home. For many of us who travel for work (and not play), this is priceless :)
Wel How about a student discount?
Have a heart Giotto.
Pete
This is how the discount works at Livingstone's. It is pretty simple really.
Senior Citizen -> 0%
Guys in shorts -> 0%
Well dressed -> 0%
Young men, handsome, and strong -> 0%
Ugly fat guys -> 0%
Students -> 0%
Lawyers-> 100% surcharge.
You write a report on the place, good or bad -> 1,000 Bt off your bill.
hope this helps.

You need to put Livingstone's on that list. Ask your boss to stay here - I will personally take care of him :) !

Yep. That is basically correct, but we increased the surcharge for lawyers :) !
For the records: To get the THB 1,000 voucher you need to stay 3 days at Livingstone's AND write a report, good or bad, not necessarily about Livingstone's, but about your experiences in Bangkok during that stay.
Giotto
BTW: Everybody talks about DISCOUNT here, what is that???

I work for a very large corporation and if Livingstones was on that list, you would always be full with strait laced corporate types who would never set foot in the Sports Lounge (or at least admit they went in there). Also half of them would be women. What would become of the girls in the Sports Lounge then?
Oh, and most important you would have to offer at least a 50% discount from your current rates to get on the list, despite the fact you are already 50% or more lower than the hotels currently on the list. They would send some aggresive young MBA to negotiate the rates and these guys are like sharks. So be careful what you wish for my friend, some things are better left alone.
And as for taking care of my boss, he is kind of a prude. I definitely would not want him knowing my extracurricular activities in Bangkok. I think he thinks I like to go the temples. Lets not disillusion him

Many of my employees think I'm a straight-boring guy. That's how I come across in person, and I like that.
