Salvador trip
Hey fellas,
Recently got back from a trip to Brazil Salvador and Manaus. It was mostly a general tourism trip, but I was able to punt a couple of times. I thought I would drop a few notes.
I'll cut to the chase -- Platinum was absolutely outstanding. I went on a Monday night, as per Azn Safado's recommendation. His description of the place was spot on, though the prices have changed slightly. The price for the Monday / Saturday special was R690 for a session. No admission price, but minimum R160 drinks expected. Most cocktails were about R65, and the beers R40 essentially US prices.
The pictures on the internet are accurate. Everyone hangs out in the bar and cabanas around the pool. At 8 pm, there were perhaps 10-12 ladies on a Monday night. Despite it being in Salvador, I don't think there was a single Afro-Brazilian girl there. It was all more latino / portugese Brazilians. Most were slightly thik, but not overly so. A few almost slender ones. All quite pretty definitely prettier than the average lady of the night. I think there were 6-8 other guys there, mostly chilling. In fact, I thought them oddly sedate given what was around them.
The facility itself was gorgeous. It is about a 20 minute Uber ride from Barra east of Rio Vermelho. It looked like it was built yesterday. Very elegant and clean. The rooms are very very nice, with dedicated bathroom and a gigantic step in shower. The themed suites are luxurious. There was an S&M suite, a western cowboy suite, and an Asian-themed suite. There may be others, but they were occupied when I got the quick tour.
I have punted a few times since COVID ended, and my experiences had been universally bad. I still think that, unfortunately, international punting is on the decline. Recent return jaunts to classic venues in Costa Rica, Amsterdam and Germany have been very disappointing. This was a very nice throwback. I met a younger, non-thick, generously endowed girl with brown curly hair. If you go, you will know exactly who I am talking about. Nice demure smile. Fantastic GFE. No whining for extra money or tips. No hassle. No clock watching. Very professional. Now I grant you, I may have gotten lucky in my one session. There is always a matter of chance with these things. But the impression I got was that any other sessions would have also been favorable.
I went on a Monday special night, with fixed prices. On other nights, the room price is still fixed, but the ladies can negotiate. Depending on what you negotiate, the value index will drop. But you will still have a great time. And BTW, the girls are under a "no approach" policy, so there is no constant awkward propositioning. You have to call them over.
I stayed there from 8-10 pm. The lineup seemed the same at 10 pm as I was leaving. I would recommend that same schedule, which allows you to stop at Rio Vermelho on the way back for a bite and listening to some good music.
It was a great throwback. Given that it is in Salvador, I don't know if I would call it a "destination" venue, but if you have decided to visit Bahia already, it is an absolute must visit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
As for other tips, I want to give a shout out to Nounce. His recommendation for the Monte Pascoal hotel in Barra was spot on. It was dead center in the Barra beach strip, with the beach literally across the street. It was so close that you could literally have just a towel and your keycard and walk over for a swim. There is an official hotel guy there who will put out a beach chair and umbrella and take drink orders, which he will charge to the room. My room faced the beach, so the sounds of the ocean were always audible and lulled me to sleep.
I would definitely recommend a stay there, and definitely Barra over Pelo. Pelo is fun, but its only a 10 minute Uber ride away. Barra is safer at night, cleaner, more laid back, and with the ocean there. Plus, Pelo's famed cobblestone streets and narrow hilly lanes make it a nightmare for cabs to get in and out of. Rio Vermelho is where you go for conventional nightlife. I would recommend a stay from Saturday to Tuesday. Saturday and Monday for Platinum. Sunday for a Bahia football match at the FIFA stadium. Tuesday for Pelo (the big party day).
And definitely take Uber there. Don't bother with taxi's or the bus. Most trips around town were about $5. Even the trip from the airport, which took about 40 minutes, came to about $15. Uber was responsive too never waited more than 5 minutes.
Also visited Manaus for some time on the Amazon. On my last night there, I stopped by Remulos. It was a dump. Stayed for about 15 minutes. There was absolutely blaring music, with the occasional fog horn like at hockey games. Smoke everywhere. But nothing happening! No one on stage. Just people playing pool on the far side. It is very close to the Theater and definitely a safe walk if you are staying near the Theater, but I probably would not recommend going there at all anyway.

Manny, thanks for the report -- extremely informative.
Does anyone have suggestions for hotel rooms in the same area under $100?
Thank you.
Why, specifically, do you think that? Any details would be appreciated.
Its a subtle change in how young people think now. The inundation of young women with cell phones, social media, and reality TV makes them fundamentally unhappy. And its all women, not just working girls. The ladies aren't happy unless they are getting thousands of dollars a night for "gifting" us with their company. Minimal service because they hate what they do and almost hate themselves because of it. Everywhere I went in Germany and Costa Rica, there was a constant, never ending whining for tips, demanding the money upfront in the room, etc. Its not that this never existed before. I remember for many years guys complaining about "The Romanians" in the FKKs who were cold and more business like. Its just that this attitude has spread enough to become the dominant attitude. Not the exception, but now the rule. It doesn't need to be extremely passionate. But at least "warm. " They don't realize that the best ones, the ones who get repeat customers, are the ones who provide more than just sex. They provide an experience. There is a great movie on Netflix called "The Menu" that illustrates this point very well.
I think that venues and ladies that provide a quality experience at real-world prices are becoming harder and harder to find. The best thing this forum can provide is where to go in the post-Covid world, because many of the old haunts are played out.

Just my luck that since January, I've had 3 positive experiences. 1 positive experience, and 2 mega positive experiences, really almost nothing like I've ever had before. I think there are still some flowers in the field full of weeds, but you have to spend some time searching.
I was thinking more along the lines that you would say something like the police in under countries are cracking down on prostitution, or that foreign prices per hour were skyrocketing. Seems like people, but most especially young women, are just allowing their inner light to shine through technology designed to exploit people and cause addiction. Bit more of a human story than a sex worker story, but still very true.

If you spend most of your time in Brazil, then I could understand that. I got the sense that, for whatever reason, the Brazilian woman's attitude toward men and sex is less jaded. Not sure if I am reading that accurately, but it sure SEEMED that way.
BTW, where were these venues where you had such great experiences?

The 3rd one was in fact domestic, but again, it was just "positive" and not mega positive. Other than 1 woman I met in Australia back in 2017, my first time trying this internationally was in 2022. Since then I haven't been able to look back. I might see a domestic girl once or twice a year now, just because of the convenience and the fact that I don't travel constantly. But prior to that, it was often more than once per month.

Even with the girls being mostly white skinned, I will check the place out. From their Instagram, they look hot and I sense I can get a threesome there with good authentic lesbianism for my fun (before I get in between them).
I still am looking for that paradise where the hottest upper end black and mulata women FOR PAY are at in Brazil (or anywhere else for that matter) except for Rio. If anyone knows, please let us know here.
In particular I'd love a place with black and mixed baddies like in the better Atlanta strip clubs (higher end, not the cheap places). I have to suspect in Brazil that can be found. This is why I will check out Salvador. But if anyone has the info on where in Salvador, Brazil, or anywhere in Latin America and the Caribbean that can be found please do tell. I know about DR. Anywhere except Rio or DR.

I searched the forum for a few years back. Platinum was the only place that was described in a positive manner. And I never saw any report describing what you are looking for. And if there was such a place, especially if it was a little more affordable, I would have checked it out myself. I was surprised. Salvador is the Afro-brazilian epicenter of the country. If they aren't there, I don't know where they would be.
Everyone likes what they like. Variety is the spice of life. But its understandable because, in general, lighter skinned and thinner girls do more business. So any higher end place, where management has spent has invested as much cash as they have to build the place, is going to have more of those type of women. Even in Salvador.
If I were in the mood for those of African descent, I would go to Ethiopia. Ethiopian women can be devastatingly gorgeous. Why mess around? Go to the source.
Except for the DR, there is nowhere in the Carribbean. Except for Jamaica, all the chicas are imported from Colombia and Venezuela.

I read here that there was a place called Eros that might have had Afro-Brazilian and mulata girls. But some people here claimed it is closed. Has it opened again? Or has another club taken it's place.
I also see online a club called Ferrary Music Bar that basically is a brothel. Any word if some negras can be found there?
I have to imagine they are around. Might be either guys aren't telling (very possible). Or guys don't know how to get around with good Brazilian Portuguese. And I do understand Salvador you have to move around carefully.
I will be there this summer, and intend to report. If anyone has info on black girls for pay in Bahia, please let us know. Even the black girls who are 8's have to be somewhere (though I'm hunting for 9's and 10's).

Ethiopians

Though not my thing, many of them looked like models. They have a terrible reputation for poor service however. Dead fish fucks. Scams. I don't know that going to Ethiopia itself would yield better results. There are some black women working in Thailand, but they tend to be bottom feeder street tutes. If I wanted a strong selection of black women, in the Americas the Dominican Republic would be the place to go to I think. In Africa Kenya seems to be a popular mongering destination, among some other countries on the continent.

You want to meet a hot black girl in Salvador. There are tons of them in Salvador, regular girls. Unless you are too old, fat, ugly or awkward, go to regular clubs, bars, the beach, take the bus or try to flirt with any girls. They are not hard to score unless you seem too weird.

9 out of 10 punters, even those who aren't FOBU, still don't speak Porto or / and have sufficient time. I'd pay good money to watch a typical monger try to flirt with local girls. That would be a good comedy.
That's why most of us prefer an easy way out: throwing cash at the problem for the sake of a simple, instant gratification.
Sometimes folks forget what this is really about. People who have time to browse the country, who look good and who speak the lingo don't really need to pay for play in Brazil (unless they want a simplicity of an instant, guaranteed fuck). For the rest of us there is money.
That said, Salvador is strange indeed. I never met any black GDPs providers in Salvador during my two visits. I don't know why.

Tourists from US rarely knows how to speak more than English. Europeans often speak a minimum of three languages and for them it's more easy to learn new languages. If somebody spends like 2 weeks-3 months in Brazil it would be very strange if they don't try learn some of the language. Also many mongers who speak no Portuguese at all do their best to flirt with local girls. The simple reason is that they enjoy flirting with pretty women. Is it a comedy to speak with pretty women? Not in my world.
The mongers who doesn't have the ability to make conversations with women, no matter the nationality of the women, lack social skills. My guess is that those guys are a minority.
You wrote "I never met any black GDPs providers in Salvador during my two visits." That's really strange. It's like going to a gogo-bar in Bangkok and not seeing any Thai girls.
