Today called in at La Defense. The lineup was a lot weaker than last time (in up market section). They do tend to be fairer, but they also have a very different demeanor. Northern culture is far more conservative. Compare village life in Chiang Mai, Rai, Nan, etc to B-ram, KK, Roi Et, etc, and you wil find it very different. I find Northern gals to have a bit better value system and are somewhat less likely to see you as simply a walking ATM.

Such as Amsterdam. No need of course for the well known one, where a simple search will give a menu and prices as in a McDonald. So some interested or attached by the report can figure our whether they can afford or want to spend a certain amount of money. Just to be very technical, normally the soi referred to as Asoke is the part North of Sukhumvit Road which is Soi 21. Going the other direction, we have Ratchadaphisek road which has Soi 16 branching off it about 200 metres down. Perhaps the first 200m could be considered part of Soi 16. Soi 16 actually has a name "Sam Mit" (meaning "3 friends"). I have never stayed in Soi 16 so am almost completely unfamiliar with it.

Sois on the north have odd numbers and Sois on the south have even numbers. Many of them have names. Usually two different Soi numbers should not have the same name.

Ratchadaphisek road is actually very long and almost circumnavigates many suburbs / districts of Bangkok, even existing on Thonburi side of the river I think, but is renamed to other names in certains places, such as Soi Asoke or (Asoke Montri). Once Soi Asoke crosses Phetburi road, it seems to be called Asoke-Din Daeng, and once it crosses Praraam 9 (Rama 9) it seems to revert to being called Ratchadaphisek again. All very confusing to all of us.

Anyway your main point about not being close to Asoke, and actually in Soi 24 area (near Emporium or Phrom Phong BTS) is very well made.

I am always getting confused by the way the odd and even Sois in sukhumvit do not line up at all so closest Soi to 24 on the north (opposite) side seems to be Soi 39. Soi 48 approximately lines up with Soi 77 (On Nut) or "77 girls All nude" as the way I like to think of it.

I believe that Amsterdam has a Farang (non East Asian looks) surcharge of 500 or 600 Baht. Call it the Farang dick tax (regardless of your size as they are not going to measure).
