Don't think it sounds like a good idea, Chinese girls don't like white guys this days, can already imagine the "Oh no" expression in their faces when they see a bunch of white guys coming in. Is best to go with a group of Chinese business partners / colleagues for those that have those contacts.
I would respectfully disagree with your assumption. I have attended many KTV parties that were all Laowai and they almost always went well. It would of course depend on how well the party was run and that the guys attending didn't start to act like cave men. I agree the language thing can be a barrier, but once you learn how to play some dice / drinking games that is easier as well. Again, as long as the guide is engaged in the party it should not be a problem. Now, if you just throw a bunch of foreign guys in a KTV room and close the door, I suspect it would turn into a real "snooze fest" Remember the girls don't "have" to go home with anyone, and last I checked the color of the money is not dependent on the color of your skin.
I am not sure how you make such a sweeping statement like "Chinese girls don't like white guys these days" At least that is not my recent experience. I have had a few times in KTV or sauna where it was obvious the girl was not interested, but there was always enough selection I didn't have to fly solo. Just my opinion.
