I am not saying treat a girl like a ****. I saying help a girl if she needs help. So, you are telling me if you meet a girl there and she is poor you will not give her any help because you feel by giving her money you would treat her like a ****. Go to anywhere on that island and get a group of girls together and ask them who they will choose someone who is willing to help them or you who expects them not to take any money and like them for your great personality and you said good looks. See who they choose. Does not make them a **** when they do not choose you. I do not know you, but you sound cheap to me. When someone starts talking socialism and welfare that raises red flags to me. Again, I respect you thoughts, but I always believe in helping others.
Sorry I meant strip clubs in the US, definitely not working girls. If you really think a girl will leave someone she has feelings for to get treated like a working girl then I don't know exactly how I could fix that. You think very low of women is all I can think. I don't know girls that think the way you are saying. Basically what you're saying is you want to be there welfare system in exchange for sex? If I were poor and some decent looking rich chick wanted to take me out to nice places, go to the nail salon, maybe get some clothes or shoes, hopefully buy me a gun or something cool I would be totally on board. If she gave me money I would definitely except but I would know she thinks of me as a working girl and eventually when someone real came along I would change. Maybe you're different, you might prefer to be a working girl forever. If someone was paying your sister or daughter money after they had sex you would think that was ok? It doesn't matter how broke or not they are, well maybe that's the problem. I don't believe in socialism, so our differences in working girl mongering probably are more politically based. I think take from the rich give to the poor mentality is just dumb. And that is your only valid point, if you believe in that. I've never paid a girl that didn't ask, and didn't pay one once that did. And the one that did was waiting in my hotel lobby with a big red rose to go shopping the next day. SHE WAS NOT SAD! Maybe your experiences would be better if you treated them how you would want instead of worrying about their problems. Although I actually would like to be paid for sex, and a few times have ha ha. I'm not trying to change your mind or say what you're doing is wrong. I just disagree with it and enough of it can change the way it works in it's entirety. Back in the day lots of these places were different where girls would enjoy going out with rich gringos, but enough rich gringos give money away and then they start to think hey why not make a job out of it. Maybe next time try to buy her a nice dress or something instead of the money exchange.
So if you want to help them so bad just give them the money. You're destroying them ethically and morally. I let them keep feeling like they didn't have to sell themselves. You're paying them one way or another, I prefer to do it in a manor that doesn't degrade them. Sorry but nobody likes to feel like that. You are not some knight in shining armor, you're the bad guy paying them to do bad things. I don't pay them I let them enjoy life how it should be enjoyed. I'm not telling you to stop doing what you're doing, I'm telling you that you think you're doing something nice when in reality you're not. And you're also part of the problem ruining for the rest of the guys who don't want to pay. It's not cheapness I am sure I spend way more than you with the girls, but I spend it on things I enjoy and that I think the girls will enjoy too. Last time in Santo Domingo I took my Badoo girls to the casino. They loved it! I think I gave them each 1-2000 pesos at the roulette table and let them go wild. If you just want a working girl get one from the clubs, it's easier and makes no sense to get a girl from the internet and then pay her like she's a working girl from the club.

You said "I spend things on what I enjoy and what I think they will enjoy". How about asking them would they rather you spend the money on food or something else, but you said it not me it is about what you think. You do not really know what they want because you never asked. I never assume anything been around to long for that. Especially, how much someone makes. I ride the trains of New York which is the great equalizer you could be rich and poor, but everyone rides the train here. Usually, when someone starts talking they make more than you or spend more money than you you know they are not doing as well as you. Again, never assume because you will get your feelings hurt.
She might have food stamps or unemployment, or support from working parents, or something. Anyway, the culture is different in the US-just believe me. Culture my ass. You think Dominican men are passing out money to every woman they sleep with? I don't have a problem getting women anywhere I go. I have had non-pros all over this world, from Brazil to Japan. Why would DR be any different? If it was all about money do you think they would they continue to come back trip after trip when I have NEVER given them money? I'm not a guy who feels he can save the world and I'm not even going to try. But I can have a good ass time while I am on this planet. Just don't get it twisted. If I want a woman to give money to then I have no problem going to pay a hooker. But just passing out money to a non-pro because she slept with you is fucking stupid. I would be embarrassed to even offer money to a regular girl. You guys have your fantasies mixed in with reality. My girl in Guatemala just hit me up. She does hair by trade but doesn't get much business.
Quick comparison: If Dominican Republic were your home instead of Guatemala you would...make 59.62% more money. The GDP per capita in Dominican Republic is $8,300 while in Guatemala it is $5,200.
And this bullshit has me so fired up that I just had to explicitly ask:

Damn not sure who you date but the girls I go with 99% of the time say I don't know: when I ask them what they want to do. Not to mention almost all girls will tell you they don't like that. I'm sorry but I don't think you understand women / dating at all, you're still trying to be nice to them. I've never met any that like that, they say they do and you listen to them, but their actions speak very differently. If you want to give your money away to help people do it, don't hide it behind prostitution, that is just sad and hurts us guys who want the true GFE experience. You are just trying to make yourself feel good, talking about I listen, I'm helping them. You might be helping them get a good line of coke, you can't possibly know what that money goes for. Buying groceries or anything like that I'm cool with, but handing a girl money the next morning or when she leaves is just the chumpiest move. There is no way around it, you can do whatever you want, but don't try and justify it like you're some savior. Again it's simple, get a working girl if you want to pay for it, if you get a girl from badoo or a dating site DO NOT PAY HER! It makes no sense. Obviously you don't see that but it's pretty logical.
Man this is total bullshit. Culture my ass. I have never given money to any American Woman I have slept with after a date or for casual sex. But that's because I am an American, LOL.

"I am not from here and I have more money than these women who I am dating, so I must give them some money if they decide to have a romantic relationship with me." Like I said, I have no problem paying a hooker all day every day. But I'm going to call a spade a spade. I'm not going to make a regular girl into a hooker and I damn sure won't try to make a hooker into a regular girl.
So you would agree that it is not a cultural thing if the Dominicanos are not doing this amongst themselves; but in essence something that has been self-imposed on foreigners who visit DR?
I understand your point. I don't agree with you on the "self-imposed" part though. You have to ask yourself why a Dominicana would give a foreigner the time of day when there is no shortage of Dominicanos she can choose from.
I think we are also getting a few things mixed up when it comes to defining "non-pros". It has been my understanding that a true non-pro wouldn't have anything to do with a foreigner. For one, there is no possibility of establishing anything long term relationship-wise. If a long distance relationship does not work in the US (you live in Houston, she lives in Austin; you live in Texas, she lives in New York) , then it's definitely not going to work with someone in the DR. Also, if being seen with a foreigner in Sosua gives a chica the stigma of being a working girl, then I am positive the same applies anywhere on the island.
And isn't Dominican Cupid, Badoo, hi5, etc. all the equivalent of Romance Latina for Colombia? I don't think anyone disagrees with the fact that 99.9% of the chicas on RL are pros/semi-pros. Same with Colombian Cupid. I am African American and I have spent the last few months getting numbers left and right from Colombian Cupid. If being seen with a foreigner associates a Colombiana with "prepago", then a Colombiana being seen with a Black guy definitely screams "prepago", LOL!
From the people I have talked to with knowledge of the culture, a true non-pro Colombiana would not even been seen with a White foreigner, else she gets tagged as a prepago as well.
To believe that she is wanting to visit me for the few days I'm in town because she has fallen in love with my online profile pics or my voice from the few times we've talked via Skype is delusional.
ON THE FLIP SIDE: If I were to come to SD, visit a bar were normal girls hang out, meet someone, and sleep with her that night, then no, I would not be expecting to pay her anything in the morning. I would just assume that it was because she liked the way I Dougie :D.

Why would DR be any different?
I don't really know enough about Dominican dating culture to comment on that. It is an island culture where most people live close to where they were born and among many people they have known all their life, through schooldays, etc. There is a lot of quid pro quo going on, even if it is not all cash. Here in Puerto Plata you see plenty of seemingly monogamous younger couples linking arms or holding hands as they go to the supermarket. There also appears to be a lot of subterranean cabana activity where younger women have to have sex with their bosses if they want to keep a job (or so I am told.)
I had "normal" sexual relationships of one type or another with about 40 women over 30 years, before I turned to paid sex at about the age of 50-everything from marriage and long term relationships to casual vacation flings and one night stands, so it is certainly possible, but then again I would never have wanted to discuss them on a board dedicated to prostitution.
The girl you mention is from Guatemala, so not relevant to the DR.

That's your life. I am not mad at you. My life I am giving out money all the time. Like the two young men I pay there tuition to two catholic schools in new York right now. One in the 9th the other in the tenth. I have been sending kids to high school since I graduated from business school in 1994. I paid for my cousins basketball camp for the last three years. He is the 5 th rank 8 grader on the east coast just bragging about my cousin. Sorry. Anyway, I am always paying out money do not mind either because I came from nothing. And upstairs looked out for me big time so I am not going to be cheap now. People helped me who did not have too and they did not i would never had made it. I will never forget that lesson. Maybe he knew upstairs that I would always have compassion.
On dating. Do not worry about me. Have not been to a Casa in a year. I like to go the non pro clubs. I like my flow in Santo Domingo and I really like the people I have met along the way.
My point to Madison if he is going to give 2000 pesos to the girl to play roulette at the casino you giving out money anyway maybe you ask what they want. What's wrong if she ask you to take her to the supermarket.

But I don't agree with any of that. Everyday, people from different countries date and marry. There is no shortage of Black American lesbians so why did Wanda Sykes choose a White French lesbian to marry?
A non-pro has nothing to do with who a person dates or goes out with. A non-pro is short for a non-PROstitute. A woman who does not accept money for sex.
And our country is so damn big, DR is how many times closer to Miami than Miami is to Seattle? We are talking a 2 hour international flight versus a 6 hour domestic flight. And that is only the continental US. Don't even mention the distances to Hawaii or Alaska. So DR is much closer than other places are to each other and would in fact make dating someone there theoretically easier as far as sheer distance is concerned.
I know the Cupids. I have used latinamericancupid on and off for 7 years. I used brazilcupid a couple of times. I used dominicancupid before my trip in February, but not this time. And I have used thailovelinks, which is also owned by them, twice. I usually do the 3 month plan. I have not used the other sites. I am sure that I have met at least 200 (very low ball figure) women off of them in various countries. I have met doctors, lawyers, professors, factory workers, you name it. The first person I met was a lawyer in Cucuta, Colombia. She rode the bus 14 hours to Bogota to see me. At that time I didn't speak Spanish and she didn't speak English. We were able to get by because I spoke Portuguese and had a Spanish dictionary. So I can for certain say that not even 2% of the women that I have met off of those sites were prostitutes.
Not until I was in DR in February was I even asked for anything from a woman from those sites. (Okay. Once in Bogota a chick was gold digging and had me take her family (mom & adult son) out to dinner for burgers. I spent $39. Afterwards, she said her son (21 years old) in college WITH a son of his own, needed something for school. I had them let me out of the car right then and there. That is where I drew the line.) I was not even asked for anything from a woman I met in Rio who later confessed to being a hooker - and we had sex. After I left DR last time a girl near Santiago asked me to send her money to get her hair and nails done (not for food because her family was soooo poor and unfortunate). And on that same trip a girl in Santo Domingo first told me to buy her some Pumas for her birthday and after I left said something about sending her money because she didn't have money to go back and forth to school. They were not poor. She lived with her parents in a nice house. She came to see me and I dropped her off about midnight and her mom was right there in the living room with the door open waiting. So fuck the sad story. She just appeared to be a gold digging college student with a job mind you, not someone who was actually in need of "help" as you guys call it.
I have spent a lot of time in Colombia. I have met women's parents and stayed under their parents roof, not in the same bed of course. They have fed me 3 meals a day and never wanted 1 centavo in return. I have also had girlfriends there who had their own places and I stayed with them. I have never at anytime heard or sensed that because one of those women was with me (a Black American guy) that people would think they were hookers.
I have also dated Colombians, Brazilians and Dominicans who live in the USA. Do people look at them as hookers too because they choose to go out with an American? I seriously doubt it. They are maids, and nannys and shit like that. But far from hookers. As a matter of fact a hooker that I used to trick with in Rio now lives in New York. She hooked me up with her coworker, another Brazilian girl. They clean houses together. She made me swear to never tell her coworker that she used to be a hooker.
It seems that when we are in this lifestyle of fucking with hookers that we get confused and think even when we go out with regular women that we are suspect and everyone is looking at us funny or they will think the normal woman with us is a hooker. I have found that to be not true in the least bit and have seen it to be just part of monger paranoia. The rest I will post in the Sosua section because it pertains more to that location.
The girl you mention is from Guatemala, so not relevant to the DR.
It was relevant in that they are both poor countries and as you could see from the figures Guatemala is much poorer than DR. If poor women have to eat and survive then they have to do it wherever they live. Or is it that only the poor women of the DR are in need of food and money, but not those who live other places?
