1. Spanish is almost mandatory. I took three years of HS Spanish and two years in college, so I speak enough of the language to communicate although I'm a bit rusty. Compared to Puerto Plata, much less of the population speaks English. Also, being that Santo Domingo is a big city people here have somewhat of a big city attitude. They seem to be a little impatient with you if you hesitate in your communication.

2. The girls in the casas are gorgeous. We went to about 5 or 6 casas last night. I don't know the names of the first few we hit but we ended up on Av Pasteur and went to Venezia, Satin Dolls and Sky High. All three of these clubs had certified dimes in there. In the zona colonial where I'm staying today there were some really good-looking SW's as well as regular girls walking around everywhere.

3. Prices are more expensive. Most places were asking for 6000. 8000 pesos for all-night takeout. I thought I could negotiate this way down but had no luck (poor Spanish probably didn't help). I ended up paying 6000 pesos after being quoted 7000. This was more than I'd expected but still a bargain overall.

These arrangemts are part of the social fabric of DR, heck the entire Caribbean.

When a non pro chica gets involved with a foreinger, the type of relationship will depend on a myriad of factors mentioned above. If you are a casanova and she falls for your charms and you give her no money, no gifts good for you. You had fun, is what is important. Within walking distance of the hotel palacio are three venues, playboy palace, cafe cita bar and 360 (prices will be less). Onno bar less than two blocks from the Palacio can be fun some nights (it is about 40 feet south of el conde, about 60 feet south of the Mercure hotel). SWs on the malecon west of lincoln, just before churchill, prices start around 1000 pesos. GBP two chicas on site. 1500 pesos. Also SWs on avenida espana on the other side of the river.

The venues away from the tourist areas have better prices, showgirls, pink pony, cats, GBP, club mc.

Check out Pure late at night in the Hotel Melia, if you can, might be some high end pros there. Casa Theresa had tall, shapely, attractive women, the times I visited. Don't bother with any SWs on ave ortega and gasset (casa theresa is on avenida ortega and gasset).

Also, although the women you mention live in the USA, they are from the developing world and are working in menial jobs, so again not really on equal terms with you in a dating relationship. They may not be working as hookers in the US, but they are obviously using sexual attraction for potential upward mobility.

It just seems to me that if one meets Dominican girls from the Internet, it is much better to pay them for sex, or at least give them a cash gift so that all relationship obligations are then discharged and there is no sense that you are exploiting them. If you let them think they are getting a boyfriend when that is not really your intention, it is bound to end in tears one way or another.

I have not met Dominicanas online, but a good friend of mine who is an older gentleman has met MANY of them, and all of them are available for sex for cash, so I think worries about corrupting them and turning them into hookers are overstated.
