But its a big difference if you go there for a short while on biz or vacation (what most of us here on ISG do). Or if you stay there in your own appartment and car and also speak some of the local language. I probably spent see. 8 weeks a year in the Hotel Mulia over a 4 year period and never gave more than 1M. The hotels in Bekasi are more family getaway type facilties. It would take a girl about 90 minutes to come and meet you at a Mall in Thamrin area. And 100 000 Rp to her for the taxi home. The girls would also expect you to be staying in central Jakarta and may not be comfortable if you were meeting them to close to their family home.

So if you stay in central Jakarta / Mentang you'll have no problems. Different if you based yourself down south in Blok M.
