In Pattaya only beach road will get you anything under a 1000 and most of them are pretty average looking. Give me my local brothel any day.

That's what I would say, even nowadays. Opebo is right and service is usually terrible in these brothels, but once in a while, one could find a real gem there.
In my humble opinion (but YMMV), the quality of service has increased in these places during the last few years (at least, that's what I've noticed in my usual "playground" in Northeastern Thailand) while the girls' attitude has dramatically deteriorated in Pattaya.
But it's true that it's still way much easier to find (in average) a good service provider in Pattaya than in a brothel in Isan for instance.

Thanks to Joe the fucking Pushover. There is no reason for service/attitude to change if the customers attitude stays the same. Because there were not so many tourists, girls were probably more aggressive, had shitty attitudes adn these morons did put up with it. If people take it up the ass from these girls, then why would they not change?
Why would they not refuse to give you a BJ if they know that that dumbass farang is going to pay me just the same anyhow?

I am in cambo right now, and have to say it is very refreshing to find loads of girls with no attitudes nor greedy. On the other hand, I continue to have a lot of good times in Thailand precisely because I don't take attitude from the girls, they know it, and they know what they cannot get away with.
