Hhhmmmmm... Had almost settled for a trip to Varsaw next week but just noticed Benedict the Pope will be there on the same days . Seems he's moving the crowds and make young men cry ... but not exactly like Madonna. No booze and nightclubs likely dead for the whole WE. Girls likely not working.

Might be time to head back to Bucharest... any recent input? Is Bamboo club still hapening?? Heard there are other similar big clubs in Bucharest, which are they? Doubt I ever read abt them on this forum.

Besides I'd need some advice about private appartments. I understand it's easier to bring girls there than to hotels but got an issue with a Ho gone bersek in the appartment I stayed in last year and felt only midly safe- during and after the incident. No security whatsoever in private appartment. Or where to head, any upscale serviced appartment with concierge and security staff in Bucharest?

Up to two years ago, Club Herastau used to be a favourite haunt for female-hungry expats, among others. It closed in early 2005, if I remeber wall.

I went to Buc last summer and did not manage to find anything like it. The Office, Planters, Twice, Club A and other joints are pleasant places to eye the cheese and chat up, but it can hours before you find girls who are here for the same reason as you (see what I mean..).

My question to Buc connoisseur is therefore: what club has replaced Club Herastau in that respect ? And where have all the club Herastau girls gone?

I had to leave Buc for good some months ago, but I'm afraid your question is still not really answered.

Rumours said that the Bavaria Club - near the Carrefour Orhidea - shall be a nice pickup place, especially for semipro students, but I never tried that place, so I cannot confirm this.

Another recommendation is the Luna Bar at Piata Romana on Thursday evenings. Check out the pictures at [url]www.inout.ro[/url] and you'll see what I mean.
Last but not least I can recommend you to look for a usergroup on yahoo called 'fetitedulce' or to use [url]www.fetite.net[/url] to make up some appointments before visiting Buc.

For what it's worth.

When accessing the site listed above, my firewall(s) went into overdrive. Every page I accessed triggered warnings/cleansing of trojan horses, etc. Fortunately, I have very good protection (as when mongering, too...).

I'll be in Bucharest for nearly a week in a fortnight, and I plan to enjoy myelf, as I do each year in the same period.

Clubs and bars' reputation comes and goes. What's hot in Buc at the moment (to meet girls and have a good time, I mean...) ? I am not speaking of lap dance joints, just night clubs where meeting girls is easy (cf. the late Herastau Club, if some of you have good memories).

After a disasterous mongering session in Prague where nothing went to plan, I am determined to do better in Bucharest.

Trying to summarize everything thats been said recently, I think the choices are:

Hotel
Expensive, and their's a possible problem of getting a girl up to your room. Some girls will not visit hotels.

Predictable, you know where the hotel is, roughly what the quality is, there may be a bar and a receptionist to give directions or call a taxi. You can lock valuables in a room safe.

Appartment
Generally cheaper, more flexible, no problem getting girls in or out, better equipped. Some may be prepared to stay a while.

Risky - Will you get what you booked? How do you check in, especially if you arrive late at night? Are there any "nasty surprises" on the bill after you have left. Are there more things for a dishonest girl to steal, could a dishonest girl threaten to wreck the appartment as blackmail? Is there somewhere safe for your valuables?

Unless you're here for several days, no chance of a freebie.

vu is owned by the same clan as in kish but there are no prostitutes that frequent the place. way way back there may have been a hoe or two on sight but no more. as you well know, romanian girls are very money/car/status conscious but they are a bit more "developed" than their besseberabian sisters and i'd be hesitant to call the vu, bonsai, quando, kristal, bamboo, and office girls anymore semipro anymore than i'd call the girls at the viperroom in Los Angeles semipro.

Please book an apartment in BUC, because they will probably not go with you to your hotel. If you with them to their place, you might get in trouble, as not many are reliable.
