I decided to try staying in El Centro, this trip, as opposed to my usual high rise condo rental in Bocagrande. Six one way, half dozen the other, IMO. It's either a taxi to the beach and back (or in my case, walk halfway to Bodytech, then to Playa Hollywood, and taxi back), or walk to the beach and taxi into Centro at night. I stayed 2 blocks up from the Clock Tower in an AirBnB that was a great spot. A little noisy, but that's to be expected, given the location.

Day 1 (Wednesday)- Avianca decided to leave my big suitcase at my departure airport in the US, so for 10 hours I didn't have anything in Cartagena. Hence, I didn't go to the gym, beach, etc. I went over to SAIL2018, which is an naval thing where big navy sail boats from various countries travel around from port to port. I got a tour of the Colombian ship. Gloria. I just walked to dinner at Bacco Trattoria and had a decent thin crust pizza. I think went to Alquimico for a cocktail, and ordered the Morphine, which I hate, every-single-Fing-time, but I never remember because each drink on the menu is so overwhelming, and the bartenders are always slammed, so I panic and soon-thereafter, regret. I ended up checking out Bazurto Social Club, which has a cover (I can only hope it goes towards the live band, because there's no other way to justify a cover charge). It was decent, some people dancing, good service, and some interesting backpackers that were all yipped-up. I perused the Clock Tower crowd, around 3 am, maybe. I found a petite brunette with killer dimples / smile. She was way too tatted, but it was 3 am and I was sloshed. She had a friend with her that was cute, but not nearly the same body. Pass those, make a right at the dirt parking lot / beach access road. Make a left when you hit the sand, and there is Fao's beach bar / restaurant. If you contact Jhon (yes, I know it's John, but I digress), tell him Blanquito sent you. Amazing sunset at the beach this day (6:40 p)! I was exhausted after a long day of drinking on the beach. I ended up getting a "Mexican Wrap" from Clock Tower Pub (See: hamburger patty inside a tortilla, with cheese, and guac / sour cream on the side). I cruised the Clock Tower for awhile, sitting down a few times to scope the scene. I saw a blonde with a gorgeous face / smile, and half her ass hanging out her shorts. Again, I ordered a superior entree than my companion (filet mignon vs some skirt steak looking dish), and we enjoyed a bottle of pinot noir (189.000). The band sang happy birthday to me, and again, we shared a birthday dessert, compliments of the chef. Paula and I retreated to my apt, but unfortunately, as it was night 5 and I drank a shit load of alcohol, I could not finish the deed.
