I have to admit that this is an issue that I struggle with. You never know who to trust to pass out information because you don't want to run the risk of having one your favorites have a bad experience based upon your referral because that will cause YOU much grief.

After my last report I got hit with the numerous PMs asking for contacts. I did give one of my contacts to one of the board members but ONLY because he had dealt with a senior board member previously and that senior board member vouched for him. I think that is pretty much how I will have to deal with requests like this. Aside from looking at the number of posts, content, etc. I'll definitely need a referral from a respected senior member before I begin to think about passing out contacts.

As stated before, while your subscription fees pay Jackson (and that is a worthy effort), your questions are answered by UNPAID volunteers, who want to give something back. I did search the forum, the recent info that came up was from Abu Dhabi, whereas the info on Dubai was a bit dated, so thought of asking about any 'recent' experiences.

This site and certain members have been really helpful, but being a jerk just takes the fun out of it. I respect your experience and your contribution in the forum, but you should not expect one to become a veteran overnight.

I guess no one can post 20-30 FRs in a day unless they are made up.

Good points BD. When I am asked I check their posting history, how they write, the demeanour is important to me (so if they use the word w**res then I doubt I will reply). Also ask senior members and get referrals about guys

Again the forum and seniors have been helpful to me, but i just feel instead of shooting down a person with question with 6-7 lines, it is best that the question is answered in a line, or just left alone.
