Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm on a very slow USB sim card connection so RTFF is proving very difficult. I've contributed in other locations.
I'd like a modestly priced (no frills but clean, hopefully with wifi) hotel within short walking distance to beach club and thai club.
I read someone suggested Tune Hotel, but not sure if this is close to beach club, and the reviews on tripadvisor are pretty mixed.
Any other suggestions?

Tunes Hotel is one or two stops down the monorail - so I wouldn't put it at walking distance (you might walk the distance in Europe, but you'd be a sodden mess doing it here). Please define modestly priced in actual money terms and I could help narrow things down for you.
The nearest places would be Cabana Inn next to (or part of) Thai Club, and Crown Regency (across the road from BC and TC. Just a quick check on the Crown Regency website showed a rate of RM230 a night for a studio apartment ~470sq ft. There's Coffee Bean downstairs, so you have trouble with internet in the room, you do have a back up. There are many hotels nearby (Concorde, Novotel Hydro Majestic, KL Lodge, Equatorial...etc) so you really need to home in on your budget.

230 is about the max I'd want to spend, though maybe I've been spoiled by SE Asia. But I don't want to pay less for hotel and then spend the difference on taxi fares anyways.

I hope that the number of reports I posted is enough to make people trust me. I also posted some long report in KL, time ago, which was appreciated (I remember a post entitled "Black Page Rocks!" commenting my first post in KL, 2 years ago)
What makes this forum peculiar is that most posts are by a group of local or semi-local people, who writes reports about massage places, never mentioned in a clear way.

Let's start with the good one. I was heading back from KLCC to my hotel and I just happen to pass by BC :-). I was approached by a taxi driver who offered me to look at som thai girls. I ended up with Jessica, a 26 yo from Chang Mai. I took her for 3 hrs, 250 MYR.
She could provide decent massage and spoke good English. The best part about her was that she is totally GFE. When it comes to sex she can provide a PSE. Gosh! With people overpaying girls like you, it will become harder and harder to negotiate!
All girls asked me such prices at first, but I always managed to pay not more than 250-300 at BC. I just wait 2-3am. Then, ST becomes LT if you want. I always did my best to push girls out of the room after playing, because I want the freedom to wake up when I want.
