Where in Pattaya can I buy Computer SW as in Panship Plaza in BKK?
Any recommonadation for a decent but not to expensive Restaurant (Thai Food)?
Which are actually at the moment the top bars in terms of nudity and shows?

Can anyone answer this question as fact or fiction:
On my last visit (2006) to LOS the girls in Bangkok Pay for play seem to come to work if they wanted to thus no additional bar fine if they wanted to stay with us longer?? vs. The girls in Patttaya had to come to work like a regular job and if they stayed with their customer they still had to pay the bar fine.
Can anyone shine some light on this?

Jimmy, I agree with you that working girls in Thai Tourist resorts deserve, and should hold out for as much money as they can get. But your economics are screwed. Most parlour prostitutes in the UK will earn £200-600 per day for shagging 10 to 20 customers, which is about 2 to 6 times a normal working wage. 200bt is a good day's wages for most khun Thai, so 2.5 x that for a quick shag holds up quite well against the aforesaid rate in farangland.
Like I said, not trying to do anybody down, but let's have some perspective here.

This is my second time in Patts. I'm no veteran so i'm generally cautious...
Walking Street
This is a candy shop with differring prices and quality. My first take was from a beer bar. BF was 300B and 1000B LT. She was very good...a real GFE.
My second and third takes were from GoGo bars. At Living Dolls the BF is 450B and I took one ST for 1000B. She was a looker. However the performance was well below par. The same applies for the third take.

This is were it gets interesting!! Went to small MP in soi 7, opposite Anna Jet's. Before going in, I spent some time talking to the girl. She wasn't a stunner, but she was sweet and had a pleasant personality. The massage was excellent (300B+50B tip-no extras). I got her number and phoned her the next day. I found this out quite by accident in Chiang Mai. In that situation I paid 500B LT and the experience was excellent. Unfortunately, my stay in LOS is drawing to a close so I cannot perfect my strategy and I cannot say that's it's foolproof. But I did wanted to share this with you people.

It is exceedingly rare that I ever see a 'beautiful' girl in a bar, but the mediocre ones that are present in the bars always seem to want about 500 baht short time (plus the 250-300 baht bar fine). I suppose the beautiful girls work somewhere else - probably the Thai-oriented business.
Lets try to hold the line on prices, fellows. Short time really is a very small amount of the girl's day, so she can make a great income doing two or three short times per day. No reason to let your funny old Western Puritan guilt make you an easy mark!

So you're gonna pay 800 bath (500 + 300 ) for a mediocre girl. In this case much better spend 200 bath more ( 2 € ? ) for a decent freelancer in walking street .
I red a lot of comments.
I travel 5x a year over a lot of countries in SE Asia and in general I don't like Thailand. The English they speak make me sick. The heigh prices they ask in the sex scene (if you get above 50 years even an old fat cow askes 2000 Bath + 2000 bath barfine but most just want to feed you beer so you get drunk and pay a lot of tips or ladydrinks).
But Pattaya is interesting, asside of all the tatoot western muzzle men who want to fuck 10 girls in a night. And all the Thai ladyboys on the street.
If you are lucky however (like me) you have already a wife.
Then you can watch shows like (something like) Dolls in Soi 14 or (something like) Midnightmist in Soi 15. You pay 40 Bath during happy hour 8-10 PM (and 70 bath later) and see real shows. You can sit along a naked couple of girls who play with eachother (even stick bananas in the pussy). Or you look to the other site and see girls in a batutube (naked) playing. Or just watch to girls dancing in a miniskirt without panty. And all the same time! And NO ANY PRES TO TAKE A SECOND BEER. If you are alone and want to save ladydrinks and not to have all the time the same stupid questions (where are you from. You look much yonger) then just say you are gay and you can watch the show undisturbed.
But if you need a woman. Then it gets hard. Most pretty things try just to talk to you and get ladydrinks and after a while (talking to 4 girls who don't want to go with you after a lot of drinks) you will end oversexed and drunk as you are with an old fat girl for 2000-3000 bath. Realy. Most pretty young girls don't want to go out with you! They have an own boyfriend waiting at home!
So when you need a woman just start to ask directly if she wants to go with you. After 2 minutes (and a clear head) you can shoose out of 4 girls (even if the bar is filled with 40 girls). If you don't like go and you just spend one drink. But for long time you should count on 2000-3000 bath all in in a gogo bar.
Indeed in beerbars in Pattaya the quality is low. Its more for the older men who drink a lot of cheap beer and if they almost fall in sleep they have a girl who can support them. But the next morning (when you have seen them naked and you are clear) you don't want to have sex anymore. But for 200Bath barfine and 600 bath long time you can have at least sex with a woman to have any exercise after all the beer drinking. And they are friendly too. (pretty girls are a pain in the ass and just talking to you to get a lot of money and come away without sex)
A lot of years the steetwalkers (along the boulevard) were ugly and asking still 800-1000 bath short time.
But now (August 11-18) I saw a lot of nice and young girls between e4qual amount of uggly and older woman. From about 2 pm they stand along the boulevard (most on the higher part with rough stones) like dolls in a show room. I was with my wife so I could undisturbed look around. Even in the sun they are some pretty once. But without any experience with them I would think they ask 1000+ bath short time and also could cause a risk in you have any valuable in your room.
My best bet would be soi 6 (sidestreet of the boulevard street) to get a good girl. That street is packed with girls just standing or sitting along the sidewalk. If you see a nice one (I like the young + skinny once but thats hard to find in Thailand where the minimum sex age is 21) you just look to here and she (or here older girlfriend along here) wil smile to you. Then you know she likes to go with you and you can ask here how much (for ST or LT).
For me it turned out to be 2000 bath long time (overnight) all in for a young, nice, but somewhat thicker girl (not skinny). If you take an older (28 year) or less pretty the price will drop to 1500 LT / 1100 ST all in. And thats the best you can get in whole Thailand for that money. Realize. You dindt spend any money on drinks and you can take out the girl from 2 pm till next morning!
Next evening/night don't take any girl and just drink cheap beers (cheapest between 8-10 pm) and watch the shows in Soi14+15 and say you are a gay. And you save money enough to get again a nice girl at soi 6 or a cheaper one at a beerbar.
Like this you save thousands of dollars and you get friendly reliable girls.
Sex holiday = Have uncomplex sex fun and save money!
Two things which are hard to find at any other place in Thailand.
Thats why I prefer other countries and I certainly don't mean Laos or Vietnam or Malaysia.
But always use a condom. All asian girls do it without condom and say you are the first like they did it to all others before you!
The reason? Most asian girls don't get a local friend anymore if they had sex with a man (like their first boyfriend or first husband). So they don't loose anything anymore after they had one time sex and can work without any mind problem as a *****. Nite after nite and even marry a foreighner if she is lucky because she is not good anymore for the locals.

Not sure about the computer question but I have heard that they are cheaper where I live than in Thailand.
It depends on what you mean by expensive? There are many decent places a couple at Tip Plaza by the DHL office on 2nd road. Then there is also a very cheap and cheerful place on Soi Buckaow between Soi LK & Soi Diana.
You need to go to a gogo to see the shows they can vary from visit to visit. Angel witch has a good show it is a good place to take a girl with you.
Whats up ago go is good and wet N Wild you get to see the girls swim around in the big tank.
There are go gos that you can just look then there are others that are more hands on it depends what you like.

Freelancers do far more short times, and in general make far more money, than the girls trapped sitting in bars.

No way. I get 500 baht freelancers. I would never consider paying more than 600 or 700 baht in Pattaya, unless it was for some serious extras.
I would like to applaud [b]Andre Cuipers'[/b] excellent analysis of the Thai sex scene - it certainly leaves a lot to be desire and is very overpriced. Kudos to Andre for telling it like it is. The whole buy-a-drink thing is incredibly tiresome, particularly for those of us who do not drink.
However I can say that he's quoting some very high prices there - almost double what I'm quoted. Usually the price on the Beach is 500 baht, sometimes (rarely) less, and certainly never more unless you are getting some serious extra services.
In the go-gos of Walking Street it is typically around 500 baht barfine and 1,500 baht short time, plus the 100 baht wasted on the obligatory drink. You may have to also buy the girl a 'drink' - in other words the barfine is actually around 600-620 when you add on this offensive demand. So all in is about 2,100 - true, far more than it is worth, but not 3-4K.
I would like to know where they have 200 baht bar fines and 600 baht all night beer bar girls.. I haven't ever run accross that.
