Sol Y Luna--closing Feb.28th
I know the place can be hit or miss and I have almost always found some great talent there. The last trip was no exception. I did go on Monday morning 2-2-09 as I had spent the night at the Tica Bus hotel snd they were no girls yet.
I came back late in the afternoon and they had 4 hot girls, no joke! Well it was almost 5pm and I had done 2 girls over at Ladies a little earlier so I was not up to the task. Oh yes and they were all University students. I made a couple appointments for Tuesday morning and left for the day.
My 9am was not there and then the other hottie at 10am did was late, so I took another young lady who at the time was staying there and was ready to go to the room. She was excellent and provided a great service and I did see her again on Wednesday morning, her name is Marsella. By Friday she was gone, just was not what she wanted to do.
On Friday there was another brand new girl from El Savador, very petite and nice looking as well. My buddy Ryan went with her and had a great time.
As with most of the places the girls come and go quite often and you can find good talent there if you visit often enough.
I am letting everyone know that I just received an email form Nicole who actually owns the place and Mom and Dad run it for her, that she is closing it down on February 28th. I am sure that the girls will turn up again at some other place, so if you want to give it a go, and your in town swing by and check out the talent.
Cheap phone service in Nicaragua
On my most recent trip I took the advice of Stevewxly and went to the mall for a cell phone service. I already had an unlocked cell phone so I did not need to purchase a phone only a SIM card for $8. 00 and then buy some minutes.
I had the lady at the Claro booth call the number just to be sure I was all set before I left the mall. They also have Moviestar phone service, but either one will do just fine.
It came in very handy as I do have several regular girls that did call me and I was able to call them and set up appointments for them to come by the hotel.
The minutes come in blocks of $20. 00 which is 60 minutes which lasted me pretty much all week.
Just wanted to pass this on as it was a great added benefit to life in Managua.

TJ Texan did a wonderful job with the previous two posts!
He's right about Matamorros to Tierra del Fuego: Spain was the robber baron of three continents and the Caribbean. They developed nothing but chaos within the local societies. And these countries are still chupadores para espana.
Latin Americans for the most part are "cry babies." They cry about "being poor" and having no opportunity. Yet, they can never do anything without the help of the USA. They never think beyond what's before their eyes. (ie. every block has a cyber cafe, ferreteria, aborrotes, the same old sh*t.)
I'm proud of ALBA and the Bolivarian Revoltuion! At least they are taking their future into their own hands. This is why I have pride for Nicaragua. At least they are fighting for themselves. Or that's the guise.
Mexico: Never fights in any international conflict. They only fight civil wars. They have the same GDP as Canada- US $1 Trillion dollars. But why do thye cry about being poor? Is Canada poor? It's the Latin American way to cry about poverty in wait for the "regalo." Look at the ownership of Mexican Corporations = Spain.
Nicaragua: That earthquake did damage the country big time! Managua is a city that was not planned, but was squatted.
As a Black American who just earned Civil Rights (ie. the right to apply for a job without legalized racial discrimination; the right to apply to the university; the right to travel abroad; the right to purchase property; the right to sue a "white person" in court; the right to use public facilities; the right to vote; the right to receive a mortgage loan; etcetera) in 1964, I understand a country and peoples must fight and develop their own condition.
After 500 years of legalized oppression and discrimination within my home country- the USA- and the American Hemisphere, I understand that one must fight! Latin America must fight for themselves and stop looking and running to the USA for their solution / opportunity. Where could Black (African) people look for the past 500 years? And we built the country with zero acknowledgement or compensation. Yet, they want to run and ask the USA for everything.
And just so you know, it was the blood shed by my parents and every Black-American (African) generation before them that gave every human being Civil Rights within the USA federal system. I would suggest Latin America follow our lead and build-up their own country. Sure it takes work and possibly centuries, but it's your home.
In conclusion, the apathy and low self-confidence is a cultural trait of Latin America. "Wow is Me" is the gritaso! Somos pobre! Cry, cry, cry. Do Nothing, but wait for the regalo.
I too enjoy living in Nicaragua and anticipate my citizenship!
