Medellin Reports

Well amigos, I'm fresh back from another visit to Medellin and as always, had a spectacular time!!

Seems now that as I make more and more contacts there, the most difficult part of my visits are budgeting my time to fit in all mis amigas and of course to meet new ones, which is always fun.

I stayed at el Castillo, the sister hotel of the now famous, Medellin Mansion.

I love staying there.

It's like showing up and having friends and family waiting for you.

I could easily navigate Medellin on my own and meet chicas on my own but I just like the services offered there and the people that run it and work it.

To each their own but I would think it would be a perfect place to stay, especially for new guys, though they get lots of repeat business.

Funny how some dudes not staying at their hotels will want to or even try to crash their parties and/or everyday get-togethers with the chicas.

After years of visiting Medellin and staying at either the Mansion, el Castillo or even the former Penthouse, I finally made it to one of the Sunday, Mansion BBQ parties.
I always had plans before and have never been to one but I'm glad I finally made it.
I had an absolute blast!!

Meeting and talking with the many hot chicas there and meeting some cool dudes staying at the Mansion.

I ended up with one of the popular Mansion chicas, Alexandra, and she was lots of fun and is really hot, and great en la cama.

I'll post a couple sexy fotos later.

Most of my time in Medellin was spent going out with chicas I had met in the past and meeting new chicas either in the daytime casas or just out and about.

If I bond with a daytime casa chica, I ask her out on a date, as a normal chica, and meet up with her in the evening.

I take her out to dinner and go to a place for music and drinks. I treat her like a princess and the love just comes :)

For me, it's much better than discussing money, being all professional, etc.

Speaking good spanish is just about essential for this.

What a great time though!!

Also spent some time at the Mayorista for late night fun.

Though there are plenty of chicas to avoid there, some real sweethearts can be found for sure.

A couple of chicas we met there, we even took out for dinner the next day and have been invited by one of their mother's to the house for dinner.

That should be interesting and fun when I get back to Medellin in a few weeks.

Most chicas at the Mayorista will be professional and mechanical until you can gain their confidence, which obviously again, will require at least some spanish skills.

After traveling lately through Brazil and Argentina, I have found how much I've missed Colombia.

The carino (affection) these Colombianas can show you just is second to none ... IMHO ... just fits my personality.

I'm pretty sure I'll be eventually be back to living in Colombia, probably Medellin but not decided on that part just yet.

I'm off to Brazil again shortly for business and fun of course, after re-charging my batteries in the US for a few days.

Nah I wasn't refering to the grls in 'clubs' just girls generally in Ecuador.

Artisttyp[/QUOTE]I arrived Friday, and paid 48K and tipped 2K from MDE to Poblado. I stumbled upstairs looking for an ATM, and found a driver a level above where most hang out.

I spent two nights in a hostal in Poblado (Tiger Paw, private room w private bath for $36), and have since moved to a Centro hotel (cheaper, with more amenities). will post full report later this week.

So my understanding is that if you want to buy anything tax free to use or leave in Colombia, you need to buy it in the airport before leaving for Colombia.

If I remember right, the taxi fare from the airport to Medellin is posted on the glass (winshield) of the taxi. I believe it's 48K for a cab sitting there waiting for customers. But you can call a cab service and they charge less money.

I would either call for a taxi or take the minibus for 6K. The minibus does not run after 8:00 pm and terminates near Botero Plaza in Centro. I normally get off the bus at Terminal del Norte and grab a cab there to avoid the traffic in Centro.

Good deals on cologne in the Miami shops.

Use a secure cab from the airport. The ones that are in line after you pass thru Customs / Immigration. They have a guy right there that dispatches the cabs. Cost just under 50,000 pesos.

Juan Carlos is one of the best independent driver/translator/guides in Medellin and he knows all the casas, many of them off the beaten track and very affordable.

It would be well worth your time to have him give you a tour some afternoon - $10.00 per hour. Be sure to ask him to show the ones he knows about in Centro that are only open in the afternoon for a few hours each day. Also, can set you up with a date at your request.

He is available for airport pickup/drop off. Speaks fluent English. His services have been used by many satisfied customers. A great source of information for newbie travelers who are not staying at gringo-owned hotels in Medellin.

I'm glad you appreciate my reports and videos.

Problem is that it takes me a very long time to protect the girl's face, and that is why I don't post as quickly as before.

Just to give an idea, it takes me 30 minutes to treat 10 seconds of a movie.

I which I could find a premiere's plugin that would help me to do it faster.

I have right now 10 reports to be treated and then posted.

El Greco[/QUOTE]Ya know what, I remember now after arriving in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after passing thru immigration, you go right thru Duty Free.

In Medellin that's not the case though.
