Sosua Reports

Stayed at NG and hardly left the place, enough putas to put a smile on my face daily. Bars at night had plenty to choose from, I just don't like staying out that late. Police were arresting the chicas day or night time walking down the street, especailly with a tourist. Not sure what they ever accomplish. I had about 12 chicas. The wicked looking one you would never show to your mama was the best actress etc, spinner of course. Finished the week with a gal with a great smile, big tits and a BJ ending with cmt. NG and all the hotels were slow, occupancy 20% to 50% at best. Tough times and off season. Staff at NG were excellent along with all the mongers that drop by or stay there. I like to Dive and used Dive Cabarete, pick you up in the AM and drop you back at the hotel just past noon, personal service, great staff. Met alot of mongers who stay in Sosua for weeks, not sure how they can last that long.

Sosua has changed some what, but there is plenty of putas to keep you happy. More police presence, but that is okay, keeps the trouble away.

Decided not to post pictures, just sent them to friends. Chicas don't want them posted and since I always return to the DR, need to keep them happy.

I thought they were leaving chicas ALONE if they were accompanied with a john? This contrary to what I've been reading. On what grounds would they have to approach a tourist and his girl? Sounds funny and unlikely but what if it really was your girlfriend? I would get highly offended. What happens to the John when they get interrogated and she is found to be a puta? Do you have to start making up corresponding stories with your puta? In some recent DR report thread I heard of some touristas being arrested as well? This is some real B. S.

It could very well turn out that the freelancers in the New Sou. aren't in fact freelancers at all! What else could explain why some girls are arrested while others aren't?

With places like CMP and La Passions,"strong-arming / controlling pussy" might be the new business model for the town. Irregardless of the fact that most chicas spend their money on clothes, the salon, and other bullshit, they were still making money hand-over-fist in the old Sosua, with the only middle man being her boyfriend or family member. Now you've got the police up your ass at ever corner (guess they were feeling left out). Earlier this week someone reported Johns are being arrested as well; it's only a matter of time before the "shake-down" reports start to roll in.

Other than that, I'm not sure why the place looks to be becoming more and more like a police state. Enjoy it while you can.

P.S.: I do not believe we have witnessed the total transformation of the New Sosua just yet. With chicas being "selectively arrested" I think the aim is more psychological than anything. Doesn't sound like they want to "tolerate" the nightlife scene there. Just slowly chip away at it until eventually you have what Mr. Gogo is predicting: 100 mongers and 25 chicas. At that point it's "game over" lol.

I read part of the article and did not see anything about the foreigners being arrested in regards to prostitution. I have been in Sosua and seen drunk foreign guys get into fights and I have seen the police come and take the drunk fighters away.

I have not read anything about any guys being arrested for soliciting or using the services of prostitutes with adult women in the DR.

I can remember posts of guys being ripped off by some DR chicas in Sosua, pickpockets or stealing stuff from a guy's hotel room in Sosua. If the police can weed out the chicas who are would be thieves, then that is a good thing.

I will be in Sosua in August. I have always been very picky and only go for the skinny HARD BODY types. I'm talking about the girls that have close to 0% body fat and super flat stomach's. Mose, Combo, Manizales and Charles Pooter also post that mongering is not bad in Sosua now. Jfregedie was recently in Sosua and I believe he posted that he loves Sosua and seems he had a blast there.

I really can't remember reading a recent Sosua trip report that says it is terrible for mongering currently.

There are people on that other site who are highly anti-mongering and they may write stuff that benefits their personal agenda. Some may own real estate in parts of the DR and their agenda might be to discourage mongering activities with the hopes that the value of their estate might go up.

I didn't see anything about police entering discos in Sosua harassing people. If you can email the link for where you read that, it would appreciated.

[/QUOTE]Flattering to be named as someone whose opinion counts, but I must say that I know fuck all about the current scene in Sosua from first-hand experience as I am stuck at home in Puerto Plata after my operation. But I do read the two main monger boards covering the town, and have friends actually living there whom I speak to most days, so I can get a consensus assessment which is better than just one man's opinion. My assessment is that all the doom and gloom is wildly exaggerrated and that newbies will still have a great time (unless they fuck it up for themselves).

But that is now. What the near future will bring I have no idea. There are all sorts of conspiracy theories. And if there is a marked change in policy or police procedures overnight, I will be the last to know.
