I've been living here in Medellin for close to 2 years now but have moved already 2 times (with penalties) due to the crazy number of annoying dogs in apartments, estrato 4 and 5 places. Seems like Colombians adore dogs so much that they cannot be prohibited by law in residences; not number of dogs, nor sizes, nor for that matter the number of pets overall.

I realize you mongers, especially the older ones living here, may have them to keep you company and / or helping you get laid but I'd appreciate any feedback to find a place in the Medellin metro area that restricts them, at least number and size. There are some pit bulls with muscles as bid as body builders.

I suppose worse case I can move outside the metro area, or another city less congested with dogs, but this is where most of that beautiful paisa young pussy resides. Thanks.

Colombians love pets rich Colombians have their dogs spayed and trained I never hear a single yap out of them where I live. Car there. There's a tourist zone in Cali too that I would consider over priced and there guys are paying maybe 2. 4 million tops. I live in an exclusive are but outside the Gringo gulch. I would consider living in a nearby town if I were you. Funny thing about names El Retiro in Cali is super dangerous just like the El Problado.

I live in a doorman building in a nice area and I still hear dogs from time to time. I've lived here for several years now. Once a family moved in and had a couple of dogs that made noise during the day. I complained to the management and eventually they had to move. Now that I think about it, it was probably a pretty bold move as a foreigner but it worked.

In general, Meddy is a loud city. Besides the dog noise, you might have noise from motos and also bars, depending on where you live. The only real attraction for me is the women, especially now with prices being 30% higher with the appreciation of the COP. I might actually move somewhere else if the exchange rate situation doesn't improve. The last earthquake also made me re-evaluate the situation here.

When I go back to visit family in Florida, I'm reminded of how great peace and quiet is for sleeping, watching TV and just general sanity. Funny thing is, almost everyone has a dog there too but there is only 5% of the noise you get in Meddy. In Meddy, a block or 2 can make a huge difference with noise. Also, probably better in the suburbs. I'm not a fan of moving a lot. Another option is looking at other cities in Colombia.

There's restaurants and bars down the street but I rarely get moto noise. There's a park near me and sometimes they'll crank the music on the weekends but that's about it.

Guys need to evaluate why they live here. My buddy Naked Gunz has a nearby smash spot that he takes chicas to. A smash spot doesn't have to be fancy but where you lay your head should be. Granted Meddy especiallt the Gringo Gulch of Problado is expensive. I knew a guy who was paying 800 a month 4 years ago. But Estrata 6 barrios in any city are quiet just like in the states. Complexes with parking lots are off the street usually have armed security and no one enters or leaves without permission.
