No right turn
.After the kart circuit cross the road and take the first road on the right, it take you up the hill. Here I found some ladies waiting for customers.
If you are on a motorbike, don't make a right turn directly (there's a no right turn sign). Often there is a cop waiting up the hill to give you a ticket. Just go straight, make a u-turn under the flyway, and a left turn to proceed up the hill.
How do I know this? :(
Today I wanted to go to view point and to the big buddha. I decided to go on foot because I had plenty of time, it is a 30/40 minutes walk from walking street. You have to go till the end of walking street, then pass the marina, then turn left and pass the kart circuit.
After the kart circuit cross the road and take the first road on the right, it take you up the hill. Here I found some ladies waiting for customers. The area is a dump and the ladies are not better. They asked for 200 bahts, but I am sure you can negotiate 100, for a BJ. The cheapest I have been proposed in my life!
Well, if you feel like experiencing something different try that.
I see that you have found the Crack Shacks. Make sure you bring mosquito spray!
I'm in Jomtien soi 11-ish, and don; t like taking the baht bus around town, so could anyone sugest any decent gogo's for ST in Jomtien that I can simply walk to and use their rooms for ST?
Jomtien is not known for go-go bars. There is one go-go called "We Are #1" across from the Jomtien Complex near the arch that goes over the main road. I think they have ST rooms on the premises. The place is OK but not as good as the average establishment on Walking Street. I've not been there for years and I live in Jomtien.
The baht bus is cheap and convenient, but if you don't like it, why not rent a motorbike so you can explore the whole town?

Farang Trap
I got a ticket from the BiB on my way to eat BBQ in Jomtien!
Let me guess: it was at a police checkpoint just beyond the curve in the road to Jomtien Beach, right?
I've been nailed twice there and hit with multiple tickets; no drivers license, no insurance, no registration, no brains, etc. At 400 baht per pop it gets expensive.

SIM card or data plan?
Hi,
I'll be leaving two weeks from tonight for 6 days in Pattya. 3 in Singapore, and the final 2days in BKK. In the past I've used a SIM with an older unlocked, jailbrokej iphone. I still have that phone but am wondering of its worthwhile to just use some sort of data plan this time with my newer (last version) iPhone. I guess I should add that I'm from Northwrn California and I
Also plan on taking my iPad.
Any opinions / suggestions would be welcome. I'm thinking maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to try and unlock and jailbreak my newer iPhone but I'm not sure it'd be worth it to get a data plan for it either. Maybe just get a SIM in Thailand and in Singapore for the old iPhone?
Thanks in advance for the ideas.

Where are you put up?
I am now considering going straight to Pattaya from the airport as soon as I land in Bangkok LOL. Instead of doing the 2-3-2 plan, I might do 4 days in Pattaya and 3 in Bangkok depending on how much I like Pattaya? Once I figure this out, I'll pick my hotel.

X'mas / New Year
Hi all,
Just been told that I need to take the days between X'mas & NY off so thought I might extend and pop over to Pattaya for a couple of weeks during this time.
Question, what is like over there during that time of year and I'm not asking about the weather.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
