I understand that, but what I was looking at was providing information to enable the ladies to perhaps better target their prices without it costing them or management. As an example, when I checked in, the lady showed me the room, how to use the safe and pointed out the bars - ie a professional induction for guests. Ok, so an extension to that induction process for no cost to the hotel would be to then offer to introduce the customer to the Mamasan/barkeep at the Sports Bar. Such an introduction might be: "This is Mr Rubberyman, he is going to be here for {However many days} and it is his {First/second/.../twentieth} visit to Bangkok. ...
Rubberyman,
I am just in clarifying mode: No, we will NOT introduce hotel guests to the girls, LIVINGSTONE'S IS NOT A BROTHEL!
You will introduce yourself, if you want to get into contact to some of our girls. If you don't want - THEY WILL NOT KNOW YOU. Discretion, the secret word. You decide what you want, you do what you want...
If you need support you contact me or the management, and things will be easy! Because then - I (or the management) know what you want. And WE (not the girls) can deal with that.
I hope that clarifies the issue.

For Pete's Sake
Pete - stop your whining. Forget about a discount. I'll give you $20 to make up the difference for what you want to pay, just to stop your whining. For a man of your age, $20 shouldn't be an issue.

mr. vice president, mr. marketing director, i apologize for the confusion. but basically i was responsible for that discussion with petemcc. it is a very old discussion, with a lot of fun in it - remember the reports when he applied for a job as bar tender.
sorry.
giotto
it was fun for a nanosecond. remember i posted about lawyers getting a 50% surcharge. but it is no longer funny. asking for a discount repeatedly in an open forum should be embarrassing, especially when one has been told no, but i guess it isn't. let's move on, and direct the cheapo charlies to the peep in, which t1234 is in the process of buying. ;)

Livingstone's al fresco
I'm planning to visit LOS again later this year and will of course be staying at Livingstone's again for a few days. After that I'm planning to go to a few different places - up to Isaan to have a poke around a few sights there, before going down to some of the less developed islands for some R&R.
Since I'm planning to go to quiet places this time round, I'm thinking of finding myself a general helper/translator/companion in BKK to accompany me for a week or so while I'm out in the sticks. I was wondering if this would be something that any of the Sports Bar girls might be willing to do. Is this something that anyone else has done? What would be the practicalities and pitfalls, if any? (a big barfine for a start, I'm guessing)

Thanks for nothing
giotto, thanks for sort off sticking up for me. the rest of you, well, i'm sorry for not being able to hold your attention for as long as a nanosecond. you didn't have to take part, you could have ignored me, but whatever.
as for buying anything in thailand, well the only things i buy are sex, alcohol and food, and i suppose temporary accommodation, so no thanks to the peep inn.
once again, i apologise for even daring to take the [CodeWord140] out of anyone, see you on the other forums cos i'm not welcome here.
cheers.

Very good idea. Things to consider
1. Compatibility - Make sure you both like each other enough to keep company 24 hrs a day.
2. Bar fine for every day. Negotiate with mamasan. Don't expect a discount. I didn't.
3. BG fees per day. 2500B+. Negotiate and both should be happy with the amount agreed on, and the schedule of payment. However, do not pay in advance.

1ball
many thanks for the vote of confidence.
unfortunately brother pete refused my offer to partner up on the purchase of the peep inn so i am looking for investors to come up with an alternative to that dump lodge next door....
you know their tricks: pads the bar bill, double charges on bf, provides absolutely no in room amenities and has the balls to charge $1800 after isg discount for a room. when you ask for directions or advice, they tell you to go to cupidity mp, etc. etc.
wtf - how can the brothers on this forum permit such scandalous pricing and rip-offs. cum one, cum all....send your investments to the peep inn investment fund, soi 33, # 15, room 115, attention t1234.
over and out!
ps
by the way, don't have time to provide a proper proforma p/l, estimate on roi, etc. etc. but my thinking is we charge b150 per room, bf will be b300, make sure the bg don't charge more than b1000 for lt, and for the first 6 months, all drinks on the house for isg members. if you're a lawyer, contrary to 1ball's recommendation, everything is on the house....in fact the first lawyer to respond, i'll offer him side line position as papasan (with freebies to test each bg for service, quality, etc.). and if the bg from g's move to our new place, i'll double your bf take from our investment fund.

That has been done by many customers already. And - if you come here and talk to me FIRST (without asking for Giotto - of course) then we will find the right person who can take care of you. This will NOT NECESSARILY be the lady which is the most sexy one (in your POV) .
OK - what I wrote is quite confusing, but in a way very clear.
Now - a big barfine. Yikes!
This strategy has two aspects. You can make a deal with us (mamasan) any time, and we will find a good agreement about the barfine for a girl for a longer period - everybody will be happy. But then - after a day or two or three - you suddenly consider that other girls are interesting, too ...
Recommendation: Come here and talk to me !!!

now I will kick your ass.
You play your games here, in an open internet forum, as we all do. And we had some fun ... but the fun for us is not necessarily the fun for others. Now, that somebody writes some criticism - and you show the white feather ( in Germany we say you move in "tail")...
You know what?
People have different opinions about "fun". What is fun for you is not necessarily fun for others. But - stick with your opinion and go for it! If you did not like the comment of some of the posters here - articulate it, write it, kick their asses as they kicked yours - BUT DON'T WRITE NONSENSE like "I'm not welcome here!"
Do you have any idea how many times this happend to me? You think this forum would exist if I pulled out after somebody criticized me?
Face it, man, show that you have a backbone!

if peep inn is really for buy - we will buy it! and then livingstone's will grow ... :) .
"and if the bg from g's move to our new place" - you are dreaming, man, the bgs from napoleon, christies, renoir are applying for jobs here at the moment, because there are no customers on those bars. obviously we are not making too many mistakes...
btw: business is very well in the moment, despite the low season.
peace, guys, agree to disagree!

Coincidental with my last strop, I spilt some wine on my keyboard. It was of course cheap wine so there was no loss, apart from my keyboard functionality, so this morning I forked out $30 for a new keyboard. Now I won't tell you what that can buy you in that dreadful, sordid Sin City a few hours south of Bangkok.
Also, I am the acting security manager at the hospital ( getting paid less than the plebs), and have discovered that my management style as per police and prisons is not tolerated. When I sent one wanker an email-an it's a long story which said ' what makes you think you deserve a reply, do you own the intellectual property rights for the database?' I got caned, dragged over the coals, told it was workplace bullying and harassment and I had to apologise to the employee (which I didn't). I was then told that in the 21 century, you are not allowed to upset anyone anymore and if you feel one bit upset or bullied that you can seek redress and complain about harassment and bullying.
Being a good and diligent employee, they type who would make an excellent barman/nurse, I took on board what was said to me and decided to try to work within the confines of 21 century accepted behaviour. Thus when I was upset on this board I immediately submitted a formal complaint to my manager who is on holiday in the Czech Republic, and who will be coming to Sin City with me next year, and maybe BKK. It fell on deaf ears, so I re-grew my spine and I am back, back to being the twat I always was.
To my potential business partners. Not only do I have no money to invest, but LOS would be the last place I would put it. You have also seen my confusion about management styles. One minute I'd be punching some complaining customer in the head, the next I'd be giving him a full refund and a freebie next time around. I am not the kind of person who would be a good investor in your venture, because I would want to be there and get involved, and as just stated, that would not be good.
But anyway, I'm back!

Neither would I invest in LOS [Land of scams]. But a German guy in Pattaya told me that of all the (skilled) foreigners he knows who work in Pattaya during the last 10 years, those who haven't become millionaires (he means Euros) must have mistaken work with holiday.
Pete, If you really need it, I can find you a room in Soi 22 for 500 Baht with shower and aircon. The place is newly open and run by a girl who owns a bar. It is not my cup of tea, but considering how much it costs it is pretty good.
That way you have the money left for a daily barfine at the sports bar.
