I won't tell!
The popular Merenguebar and nightclub D'Clasico have been closed by the government for an indefinite period. The military and police announce that they have encountered minors and drugs on checking the bar and nightclub. Although the control on drugs and age at the entrance to the nightclub is severe, local visitors must show their identity card and everybody is searched at the entrance, but it appears that some unwanted visitors passed through the check. Is this the end for the nightlife in Sosúa? The editors took a Sunday stroll through the main road and found that: it was quiet in the Pedro Clisante. There hardly were any customers in Central bar and the three Politur officers posting in the street did not made it more attractive to visit the bar. The Rumbabar, El Flow and Bermuda bar had a few customers. It was not that busy there.
Merengue bar closed.
After midnight at the bar / disco Latinos (Willy el Chamo, the vice mayor, is he the owner?) , it was very busy. The visitors (tourists and locals) showed up in large numbers and queued up at the entrance where there was a strict age and drugs control. Also local women alone lined up waiting to enter. For the rest it was very quiet in the Pedro Clisante.

http://www.sosuanews.com/index.php
Latino's has become the 'spot'. Beginning about 9pm. Last night, The Haitianas began to return. Some of the same chicas that hung in Merengue. The only positive from all the Gestapo tactics is: It is a cheaper scene for all 'locals' like me, with regulars and phone numbers.
Trust me. Places have been found, but people have been burned enough to know not to post everything on the Net. Geographical arbitrage works best when information is asymmetrical.
This whole site was built on information sharing, If it wasnt for someone sharing on this.
Site, I wouldve never visited, The Dominican Republic, and this valuble information shared,
Was priceless. It made 7 wonderful trips made possible, the reason I asked are we being,
Hypercrites? This site was created solely, for the purpose of information sharing, but we.
Somehow think, its ok, for US to get information, on possible new mongering location, and.
We are not the so called, weekend thugs, whatever the hell that means, anyway, I feel We.
Are being two faced, on one hand, bugg the hell, out of people, to information share, then.
On the other hand. Hush up, keep quiet on new locations, because we want to have it.
All to ourselves, but newsflash. Everyplace new or old will eventually comeout, and.
To those mongers, that horde this information of these, so called secret, wonderful places,
You have stumbled onto, needs more than just your, measily dollars to function!
It needs more than just you, and at one point and time, someone, shared information with you,
When you were frickin clueless, so thankyou to all the information sharers, I would've.
Been lost and clueless without you. Please chime in.
Hey Guys! I just booked for July 21-25 to POP. This is both my wingman and I first trip to D. R. And I'm looking for some feedback on whether to go to BB or Sosua or possibly a combination of the the two. We are pretty much winging it so ANY recommendations would be appreciated. We are thinking about BB first and then Sosua to round out the trip. Please Help! I'm coming to you guys as a humble student of the monger game
RTFF.
READ the posts in the this forum from the past few days, then make your decision.
FYI, if you are planning to stay at BB's it probably would have been wiser to make sure they had rooms available for your travel dates before booking your flight. Given the recent events in Sosua I wouldn't be surprised if they are booked solid for the rest of the year.

The Italian guy who owns Classicos and Merengue is not the nicest fellow and in my mind he had something to do with the murder of an American lawyer who was living in Sosua.
I feel bad for the workers at Classicos and Merengue, but less income for the Italian guy named Armando, with the closure of Classicos and Merengue Bar, I have no problem.
The pros will just hang out in other bars waiting for clients.

just now (1 pm local time tuesday) , the approximately 50 employees of merengue bar and disco classico held a protest march through sosúa. they protest against the unjustified closure of the two bars and demand that they can return to work again. according to the spokeswoman of the staff it is not just them but also motoconchos, surrounding restaurants and even the politur depending on the business to make their daily living. in front of the town hall the spokes women held a speech for the local media present.

http://www.sosuanews.com/index.php
but remember we were told not too long ago by a couple of folks on this board that "the monger dollar ain't shit!", lol!
so you mean the new tourist crowd in sosua haven't been patronizing the local restaurants and motochonocho's? those cheap bastards! one family was reported to be expected to spend the equivalent of all of our yearly monger dollars (spent in sosua) combined, lol!

One family was reported to be expected to spend the equivalent of all of our yearly monger dollars (spent in Sosua) combined, LOL!
Exactamente. Most family tourists are on tight budgets. Most mongerers are free spenders. I always set a budget before each trip but after the first day thats forgotten. I always spend double what was expected. Most families eat in, walk around sightseeing and don't spend alot of money on drinking and partying. But don't get BQ started, I hear he hit the lotto and purchased an oceanside villa with an all female staff. He now spends his days in a hammock being fed fruit.
Whats odd is that I always saw more young girls walking around latinos than Classicos. Makes me wonder if this board is being monitored. Lately the talk has been Classicos and the incoming ex Brazil guys, then bam, Classicos is shut down.
Also I'm seeing alot of newbies with their standard introduction (BB or Sosua and I promise to give a detailed report). Hillbilly, Sidney, Jao, orgasmo, and savepros are providing the best intel. Also the Sd board is hot with Jaos party coming.
Also being I know security, I don't understand the tactics being used now. A midnight curfew would of had the same effect, with less artillery. I get nervous when I see a Dominican policeman with his gun drawn, because (1). They can kill you accidentally and get away with it, (2). I don't know their level of arms training in crowd situations. Can you imagine sitting in Classicos and 50 police run in with their arms drawn (talking about losing you buzz).
Shocked with mouth hanging open!
Peace BBL.

Can't stand it for more than a day, but I must admit it is a good start for newbies.
I like free range hunting and I'm assuming you have made some hotel accommodations by now, or you may be SOL, but go to Sosua. I'll be in town July 1-4 to check out things for myself, so wait for my return report, then decide.

Because I like to disappear during my trips to places like BB or Santiago just to change things up and throw off the chicas that are clockin me in Sosua. As far as.
Rules in BB, I've never stroked anything in there. I've been to a few private parties, etc. But never felt the need to smash on site cause I always had other less costly options waiting.
That being said, I've pulled several chicas in Costambar, that I met after leaving BB, and took them back to Sosua for a day or 2. Surprisingly, all were freebies.
The attached pic is an example. She's not a star but she can fuck good. I was in the mood for some chocolate on this particular excursion. Not sure if she was from there or visiting family cause this was a few years back.
