I tried this with one who approached me on 136. The usual "want marihuana? Want girl?" In the end, all he did was to drive two blocks down the road, make some phone calls, and drive one block back towards the bar streets where a girl came to the Tuk Tuk who should cost me 300 $ even though she was just one of the regular bar girls there. I mean, come on dude, I can see where she comes walking from and that she's sitting there the rest of the night.

It is trial and error whether he helps you find talent or not. The entry ticket is 5 US $ or less, which is the average fee for a 20 min tuk tuk ride. He is interested in visiting a local brothel (s) and maybe pulling from one of those.

The "scene" in Cambodia has changed exponentially since I first visited in 1998. In those days, boats / barges on the Tonle Sap served as brothels; K11 was still operating for the benefit of those interested in "young" providers; not far from Nagaworld was a village of brothels that was bulldozed for redevelopment; a few "massage" fishbowls were nothing more than brothels. (Luxury New World Hotel had one.).

I'm guessing that today's brothel scene (outside of KTV's) is pretty much for the local Khmer population. There are some venues that middle and upper class Khmer know about, but they are probably unknown to most tuk tuk drivers. LOL.

If you are determined to hire a tuk tuk driver who knows the lay of the land, I would suggest that you make friends with the door man of your hotel or the bell captain. They usually know enough English for you to communicate your interests. They also undoubtedly have a friend or relative in the tuk tuk business. Heck, if they work the day shift at the hotel, they might even be interested in some night work as tour guide. I'm sure that $10 would be enough to get a few hours of "guiding".

There are many ways to meet girls in PP. True. Nevertheless, PP is small compared to, say, Bangkok. Some mates are bored in PP, too little to do. I found venturing out with a tuk tuk driver enjoyable for little money. Nagaworld looks expensive to me. Can someone tell me how to deal with the girls' non-existent ID cards here? I'm not kidding but none of the girls I sat with and talked to in the bars had an ID card. They all have photo ID from school days, all over Cambodia, even from the poorest province. To get money transfers from sponsors (Western Union, WorldRemit and the like), they need to show a photo ID. I have never had that it happen to me, that a girl does not have an ID on her. They must present an ID at all hotels. Often the reception keeps the girl's ID until she leaves after sex. Often the hotels call your room before they hand the ID back and ask you politely, whether everything was ok with her. As Cambodia has (almost?) eradicated child exploitation, the hotels have got very systematic about checking. There are guest houses known not to be pedantic about checking, but that is a dying business model. All hotels where foreigners stay make damn sure they check. The fines for finding underage people in hotel rooms when they get raided are severe. Venues get closed down who engage in that. For the better.
