Don't know about Indigo.
You could try the new hotel next to Coyote. Called Hotel Bendigo. Believe that rooms are $900.

Indigo Hotel (which reviews really well BTW) also requires key access to the rooms. It seems most decent hotels around that location does. Just in case anyone else was looking into this in the future.
Some fun for the guys.
Go into Escape and chat to a group of Indonesian ladies.
Say to one that you like her ' porn star ' shoes. She may say they cost $1500. Go to the next lady sand say the same thing. Her shoes may cost $2000. Go the next lady and her shoes may cost $2500. Some expensive shoes in Escape!
Sometimes the ladies say they like my bracelet. They ask me how much!
I say it cost $100 at Wanchai Market. Next time I see the lady she says I couldn't find that bracelet at Wanchai market! Ha ha ha!

Not on walking distance from the Wanchai bars; cab costs around 40 HKD.

Cosmopolitain Hotel (on the opposite side of Indigo) doensnt have a key card (is less expensive but also another "classification").

I'm always interested in good (inexpensive) hotels in HK and have taken the advice of many punters over the years and found some very good hotels.
Hotel Indigo seems expensive to me. You can get equally good ones at half that price. Also, surely its walking distance to the hot spots?
A cab should only be about $20.
Stayed at the Cosmopolitan many times - good value. Some nights they have a guy sitting at the elevator "checking you in" but never a problem.
I have stayed at The Wharney Grand Dong on my last few visits. Couple of years back though, so can't vouch for now, but would be very surprised if it's not due to it's very superior mongering location!
Got good prices here through British Airways website.

Never had a problem at the Cosmopolitan or Cosmo Hotel.
You can get Bonaparte Hotel (and of Wanchai Road) for about Hk 600 a night. Bonaparte is part of the Rhombus group.

Thanks for the hotel recommendations.
However, I was hoping to be able to walk for my mongering in Wan Chai.
Is Indigo too far to easily and quickly walk, with a lady?
Also, if not the Indigo then where? Happy to go to hk2000 a night, so perhaps nicer class than Cosmopolitan.
