OK, so apparently my last report was edited due to a phone number posting. It was my QQ number. So I guess that isn't allowed either.

As for the recent posts about not revealing locations, I think that defeats the whole purpose of the forum if you can't even go into a bit of a detail about where the places are. If that was the case, we might not as well even post the names of the place. If LE were to check this forum for places to raid, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and would assume that they cud find the place just from having the name. It won't take Sherlock to crack something like this.

If we were to refrain from posting names or locations, what incentive do we have just for showing up and seeing a post about an individual's experience without knowing where it took place? We would probably end up seeing posts about bad experiences with location, given that the person would have a grudge and hope LE raids that place. Are those the types of reports we want?

As for LE tracking sites and emails, I think its a given that the govt has the ability to do that. Yes, there's been a crackdown on QQ from the internet police shutting down tons of QQ girls posting ads for themselves and cha trooms that post graphic gifs and pics, but that's nothing to do with the forum here. If they wanted to find some intel so badly, what's to say that they couldn't do the same and read the pvt msgs that the members send to each other?

About the recent LE raids, there will be an ongoing mini-sweeps from time to time for the next 3 months, or 2 months considering that it started about a month ago. The Minhang area will be taking the brunt of it. This info is well known within the shanghai mongering community, and also because it was announced in the paper about a month ago. So if any place gets raided, I doubt it would be because of our postings here. If this site was noticed by the govt, they'd have the site blocked by now.

Now, I'm not a paid member but I'm sure being a paid member has its purposes and I'm grateful to the people who pay and keep the site up but to only allow sharing of detailed info into PM is a bit of a cock block.

So sum up, I'll take what a previous post said and edit a bit. Be cautious but not paranoid.

Maybe LE gets miffed about a detailed report when the location is next door to them. My searches for ISG come up blank at times. Maybe it's because the signal sucks.
