That's the problem with advising Newbies to search. All the info they need is probably in here somewhere but you literally have to go through thousands of irrelevant posts to find it - and then piecing it together into a cohesive whole is difficult and near impossible for a city as big as Bangkok with all the options. A while back I was thinking of going to some places in Central America and though I read posts going back 1-2 years I never really got a good picture of what the scene was like because everyone was writing with assumptions that the readers already knew the scene. I've often wished each country section had a page put together by the experts that pulled all the info together with places, locations, pricing, descriptions etc etc and then updated it when necessary. Then after reading that, the individual posts would make much more sense. The wickedtraveler.com has a lot of this and may be a good place for new guys to begin putting the picture together for Bangkok, but parts of the site seem to be on hiatus right now

Does anyone know of something like that these days that's out there? One of the BKK nightlife sites used to have its own, I think the one that closed down (Nanapong) tho not nearly as good or indepth as Stick's.

There surely is something like that too for massage places. A rundown of the major ones with comments on quality, price, etc. There's a stop on MTS out near the one called Poseidon where there's a lot of the big Thai massage places all clustered together. Kind of the Soi Cowboy of massage places. If he gets out there, can walk around and check a bunch of them out in person in one evening.[/QUOTE]

Well, you can go to a 2nd-tier MP along Petchaburi road and pay from 1300 baht. At Bangkok Cozy I got 2 shots for this (one CIM in the bath as a starter). Or you can go to a nice place like Belle or Utopia and pay from 2000++ to 5000.

question from a first time visitor to bkk:

She probably has nothing good to return to or avoiding something. She probably was never treated so good before and could be getting stuck on you.

You pay the girl to leave, if you want her to go. The money is a strong signal to go. Otherwise you just have an important appointment to go to, so both leave.

I have even experienced a girl showing up uninvited to my Hotel many years ago.

They know they have few options other than foreigners who will do this for them. Some of them are just plain crazy, too.

thanks[/quote]don't try to get any clues, because then you will truly be confused! such is thai behavior. there could be a million reasons. yeah, maybe she liked the room, maybe she had a problem at home, maybe she liked you a lot. there are also those girls (and several have actually told me this) who know that a great way to get a long term guy is by not asking for money, maybe having a few freebies so the guy thinks they really like them and that they are worth having as a gf. if you like the girl, enjoy her, have a great time and see where it goes. if you want her leave, just tell her directly that you have something to do (whether it be go to the gym, meet your friend, go to a business meeting, or whatever) and that she needs to go home.

Arrived in BKK Sunday night (after a nice stop in Tokyo - a place I really need to spend time in one day). A good tip from a fellow monger, is to go upstairs in the airport and get a taxi from the upper level. Much cheaper than the tourist area. I paid 500bt for the taxi including toll and tax etc.

It was 12.40 by the time I checked in at the Majestic Suites (has been recommended here before), so I had to bust a leg to get to Soi Cowboy fast enough. Luckily the 1am time isnt being enforced at the moment, so the places were open until 2 or 2.30.

I just sent a brief text to a lady working at Tulip, and clearly got the number wrong as I had a return call from another lady asking me about my sms.
