When traveling from Bangkok airport to Pattaya, where in Pattaya Bus station is located? How far it is from Beach road or Soi 4? What are the best methods of transportation?

You can catch a songteaw (pickup) next to the station for 10 baht which goes to Pattaya (just flag one down and get on, hand over 10 baht when you get down). Catch one going uphill, I. E. Back the way you came. Drop at Pattaya South Road (Pattaya Tai) and walk left. 2 minutes to the start of Beach Road.

If you look at the bottom right of this map [url]http://www.mapofthailand.org/travel-map/pattaya-city-map/[/url] Where it says Sukhumvit Road and look just above that you will see where it says Air-Con Bus to Bangkok and Bangkok Airport. This is the stop he wants to go to. From there as you said he can take a songthaew (baht bus) 5 minutes away to Soi 4. [url]http://thailandeveryday.********.com/2010/05/lunch-in-pattaya.html[/url] If he goes all the way past Pattaya to Jomtien's bus station then it will take him an extra 30 minutes on the baht bus trying to backtrack.

I believe you can google it and you will find the website and their schedule. It is across from the regular bus station 200 baht to the airport and take like 1 1/2 hour.

Several years back I used a bus service Bangkok to Pattaya, I'm pretty sure it was Bell. They picked up from Nana (boom boom) hotel and dropped me at Queen Vic, Soi sex, Pattaya. Booking beforehand obviously required. It was a tedious means of travel, nowadays just take taxi 1200b.
