A few years ago I believe it was the black Hole that had a real good looking mamson. I think she was a manason, she hung out at the bar and tried to pawn a girl off to you.

Last time I was in Cebu (7 mo ago) I walked down to where the firehouse was, did not see any sign of life.

I know this is vague, but its the best I have to go on; there was a bar somewhat out of the way and on top of a hill that someone told me is up and going again. It was a larger place with a big stage type dance floor. There was a big clique of gals that hung out left of the stage. Fished a few out of there a number of years ago. Again, I know it is not much to go on, but was wondering if anyone else heard of it's revival.

Does anyone remember the (now gone) Firehouse about half way between downtown and midtown. I liked that place before it became a warm beer place. Then it disappeared. As for edgy mama and managers, the Black Hole was the Cat's Meow.[/QUOTE]

He likes to push the Aussie barrow. His attitude might come from the Apartheid days. What he has to remember is times have changed. Its not the first time I have heard him telling customers to "fuck off". Mood swings. The guy has been awfully sweet one min and told same guy to fuck off next. I was there, saw it happen. Never bothered to return, and never will. He does not fit into the Cebu scene and he himself will be told to "fuck off" one day.

Lone Star. 'Lone' is most appropriate in his case. But 'Star', not, LOL

My girlfriend and I are coming to Cebu for the first time. We have been to Thailand, Colombia, and Panama among other places and will enjoy threesome action at times.

She's very attractive and girls always like her.

How easy or difficult will it be to meet very nice girls that would be interested in joining the two of us?

Are there some bars in particular that cater to this or are they all basically the same?

lastly, only you can tell me if you are the one who, before i even had a chance to sit down, told me to buy a beer or get the f out.[/quote]graham, the owner of lonestar (and silver dollar) can be quite rep001hing at time but i think this is just his humor and way to gauge the personality of people. i'm not saying it's proper or acceptable, but i think when you get to know him its an easier personality to deal with. that said, without being confrontational, i'm quite a feisty character myself and give as good as i get when it comes to banter, but i can fully understand how people may be offended especially not there as part of a group where an equally rep001hing response is easier to come by.

often graham has bought the regulars a beer when i've been in there and, on his own, is quite a good guy to sit and have a beer and a bit of witty conversation with. and i agree with x-man, the atmosphere for me is much more amiable than vikings, erik the reds etc because of the clientele. more likely to get hearty banter both amongst the customers and the girls, than girls lining up to the highest bidder. i actually favor silver dollar over lonestar, but some of my friends are the other way around. but to each his own, surely there is somewhere for everyone in cebu!

P100 entrance, think it was P100 beer and a silly P300 for ladies drinks. Didn't see anything there worthy of a P300 drink. Top off for all of them, some bottom too, especially the less pretty ones, LOL. Pinoy place where you would have to behave or suffer the consequences. Some distance out, I shall not return, unless they get back to the top standards they had some time ago.

Firehouse has been non existent for years, anything three to five years in my estimation. I always looked down the laneway to see if there was any life in the place. Patient did not recover from bad reputation it started to build, plus being down an alleyway was no help.

Someone on this page, down below, has posted "once you get to know owner of Lone Star, he is good guy' sort of thing. Well, he does not let you get to know him unless you quickly start ordering ladies drinks and pay his rip off all up front barfine I have heard about, which includes bar fine and a forced substantial girl tip before the girl even leaves the premises, all up, paid up front, admittedly applies usually only to newbies, which equates to a rip off in my opinion. If you are a big spender he is nice, if your looking for value without being a cheap charlie, you run the risk of being told to fuck off. In another separate case, a friend of mine was there and witnessed a guy enter, he ordered and got his beer, starting drinking then asked cashier next to him what was the price of ladies drinks and the barfine. Owner was sitting two bar stools away, he turned around and shouted out aloud "fuck off", thats all. His Security with gun was standing next to him. Think he should rename bar Intimidation. Feel sorry for the girls, must be hell working for someone like that.

He doesn't give a flying jerjer if the guys who come into his bars have a good time or if the girls provide good service and take good care of the guys. He doesn't care if the girls barfine or just become drink sluts because at the end of the day he is not concerned with making a profit. Enough said.

I have been in Lonestar and have witnessed his wild mood swings. He often yells at looky-loo's "you like the free aircon, you like the free look at the girls, well buy a fuckin' drink because' this bar doesn't run on FREE!". He does have a point sometimes. I have seen guys come in and stand around and try to get a CP number or barfine a girl without buying a drink and when asked by a mamasan to buy a drink they run into the CR. These guys are cheap charlies not regulars who often will barfine the same girl several days in a row. One guy actually took out his reading glasses and tried to get as close to the stage as possible to look at the girls. Lucky all he got was words thrown at him and not something heavier LOL.

Graham doesn't care if the girls take good care of the guys, if they provide good service or if they turn into drink-sluts with no intention of being barfined. The girls in his bars have developed bad habits.

At the end of the day it is his bars, his rules, his money, but it's also his loss. I voted with my feet and took my pesos somewhere else that provides better service and hires GRO's that want to be barfined and make the customer happy.

With all due respect, your friend sounds like someone I would tell to f*k off as well and not really somebody I would want in my bar either. I find the atmosphere a million times better than some of those on mango filled with Korean's who line up the girls in a demeaning way and show about the same level of personality and banter of the cockroaches that scurry at their feet. I do find myself thinking that some would find more what they are looking for in Pattaya more and more these days. But to each his own, I'd like to think there are a few people who can hold a conversation and drink a beer without being grotesque 24/7.

Let your feet do the talking. There are enough bars on Mango to accommodate everyone's tastes, never mind in Cebu as a whole. I've only ever had one problem with a girl from there, I told Graham and the next one was on the house. Would I have the problem resolved with one of the mamasans elsewhere? I don't know, but I doubt it would be so easy. Personally, I think there are more attractive women in other bars than Lonestar. There are plenty in Planet-x, but on more than one occasion I've been tipped off that the girls do not have up-to-date health cards. Who knows? Besides, I'm now told that the rules have changed so that the entirety of the fee goes to the girl and she works out an agreement with the bar. I don't know if its still the case, but I'll be back in 2-weeks to find out.

As for whether its hell to work there, I am fortunate to know most of the girls personally, many of whom have been there several years and they always tell me they love their job (both the waitresses / bar tenders and the GRO's) and how Graham will often treat them to parties so its far from hell. Again, they'd just walk into another bar if that was the case. The ex-pat atmosphere has always been good when I've been there, which is certainly more than can be said for some others. Sxxxx, you talk like you know everything about these places but then use the phrase "I have heard about". I prefer to listen to the opinions and experience of people who have actually been in the bars they are critical of, or equally, quick to praise.

Like in any bar just ask, set your menu and be prepared to pay. Make sure she is what she says and will do what you agree and make sure again, get your girl to ask as some will say yes and then be 'shy'.

Some 'nice girls' maybe curious IMHO but if you are there for a ST then nice girls turning bi curious into full bi takes time. Effort is needed.

One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of girls may agree to a 3some, but their idea of it is taking turns and not a full "girl on girl" encounter. So you want to be specific to the point of at least finding out if she will allow your girl to touch her and of course go down on her.

Forgot to ask, when are you planning to visit? If you've RTFF you'll know that certain times of the year may be better than others, like when tuition is due.

I must say that reading some experiences here related to Graham's behavior makes me wonder if I do live in one of Murakami's parallel universes.

I have NEVER seen anything like what is reported here.

I am not saying it couldn't or didn't happen but I can only surmise that a few incidents must have tipped Graham "over the edge" regarding punters abusing his bar in some way.

He has always been welcoming to me and has always greeted me in the same friendly way.

He knows I look after Mummy Josephine too who always, in turn, looks after me. I must go back again soon and see what transformation has taken place in the bar.

Based on the coduct of the owner (Lone Star) , I would sooner coil up with a snake than get to know him.

I, too, voted with my feet and never went back. I will tell everyone I know to avoid both the Lone Star and the Silver Dollar.

Will be in Cebu in a coupe months, anything new, or improved in the Colon Street area. Have not been down there for quite a while.
