Ok. OK, I'm a sucker for punishment, had to go to centro to see for myself!

Well the current report goes like this, JEEZZZZZZ, it's expensive as hell!

For that price at bucarra, I could have bought a high class Ho back home east coast! They want 100 reias entry, then 75 reias per drink (alcohol), 23 soda, 60 room and the girls while hot are sharks for drinks doesn't matter how entertaining it is to try and get them to explain without using portuegues who they are! And then the bombshell 500 REIAS for a girl? What, What?

You barely neededto say yes to an interogetory and BAM they assume you've agreed to a 75$ drink, HELLO. Rip off!

Just before leaving and paying about 175. US in drinks/entry etc! I engaged a nubile young noobie to the scene (her first night there) and negotiated one drink/ 250 to go to room. One last note on floripa. My post must have been deleted by the stupid in- ternet access at Sofitel last evening.

One my last nite I started with dinner at the local italian restaurant (Macaronades) friggin horrible, love ital food this place sucked bickets!

Went back to the hotel to call a cab he came about blew me out of the thing with funk but hell guess he had a tough day sitting around tossing brews back.

Now the driver really tries to go to the door of Bucarrah but I wouldn't stand for it told him to turn around and stopo at Sexy. He does lets me out, tell him to return in an hour.

Place is picking up steam at midnight 80rs entry, 50 each beverage, 60 room and the girls are asking 250-350.

I can understand you and I thank you to mention your concerns.
I had always the same feeling. But then I understood that it doesn't matter so much to think about that. There are different ways of life. And such situations shows us always that there is not only one view to the world.

And it sharpens my view that I try my best for my kids to give them the opportunities and the freedom to do their own choices.

Finally I can't await to come back to Florianopolis this year.

Anybody is in the city to meet ?

New user here, first post. I went to Bokarra (pronounced 'bokaha') last night with my friend who lives in Brasil. My only previous experience in Brasil was at Centaurus in Rio about a week before. I'd heard some good things about Bokarra, and maybe it was the contrast between the two clubs, but Bokarra was a disappointment.

It was my first night in Florianopolis. Floripa is a great little city. Nice beaches, good restaurants, and attractive women. It reminds me a lot of Miami in terms of the more latin, international culture, architecture, the ethnic mix, and the way women dress up. I'd say it's one of the 3-4 cities I'd live in in Brasil, a list that includes Balneario Camboriu and Rio de Janeiro (if I had a helicopter).

We started the evening at Confrefria des Artes, a great club/restaurant in Lagoa. We heard the food wasn't great, but it turned out to be pretty good, the main courses at least. The Paulista owner's wife is a hottie with her own cooking show on tv. It ran on a loop on a huge projector in the dining room, and basically featured her and her large breasts, always in camera, cooking outdoors. The club is one of the main draws for Floripa's party scene, although it was quiet. It was after carnival, after the start of the school year, on a Thursday, and raining. Still, when we left at 11:40 for Bokarra. They were set up for a large crowd and some very cute girls were just coming in.

My friend spoke highly of both Bokarra and Boite la Praia in Camboriu, where he'd been before. I should mention, Bokarra has relocated, and is now near the hospital, about 5 mins from the previous location. We had to get some guys from the gas station near the old club to take us over. Apparently they get a finders fee from the club when they do so, so don't be shy.

When we got there the place was pretty full, with 30 girls and half as many guys. The contrast from Centaurus was extreme. I'd say the average girl in there was a 6, and that may be generous. When I walked into Centaurus, the average was a 7-something, and I immediately saw 3-4 of the hottest girls and thought, "I could never get a girl like her in a bar". One was a blonde, about 5'7, with a great body and a face that was picture perfect. I'd give her an 8. 5-9. Put it this way, the only places I've seen hotter girls were Spearmint Rhino and Club Paradise in vegas. I'm pretty tough on the ratings, fyi. The only place I've ever seen 10's is Paradise, and they were the type you see for 3 minutes on stage before they disappear into the back.

My attitude on this stuff is that I want to go first class. I'm ready to spend 300-400 usd but I want to experience something I can't get anywhere else- Beautiful girls (that I would have trouble approaching back home), at my disposal and service Back to Bokarra, most of the girls I wouldn't touch. They just looked too sketchy or old. There were only 4-5 that were worth it in some way, and 3 that I was interested in. One, a solid 8, great body, but with some miles, was tied up. Only saw her for a few minutes, with a guy. Another, the hottest girl in the place (an 8), was an ice princess- no eye contact with anyone. A third was a 7. 5, and about 5 degrees warmer, LOL. After some small talk with some girls who approached us, I made eye contact with the 7 and met her when she came over. I'm new to this, but my philosophy from strip clubs is that it's always better to pick one who approaches you or is otherwise demonstrative. It makes a better experience. So, I sat down with the 7, who's name was Joelmha.

She's about 5'5, natural dark blonde, and very petite. Great body, with pretty, delicate features. She had a prominent, straight nose with a slightly recessed chin, like some Argentinean girls, if you know what I mean. We had a couple drinks while my friend talked to the ice princess.

In retrospect, I shouldn't have gotten with that girl. At Centaurus, there's no way I would have. The problem was that the odds in the room worked against me. As the place filled up, I felt like I needed to jump on one of the top girls or I'd be SOL. In fact, before I met her, she had some rather normal looking DB, late 30's or so talking to her. When I sat with her, I bought her a drink and another mysteriously arrived. She wouldn't drink it, because it was from that guy, and she told me she didn't like him (and had refused him). Later on, he sent her another while we were together. I will never figure that one out. Also, the fact that she refused a customer was a real surprise to me. One of the girls at Centaurus told me they're not allowed to do so. Anyway, that sort of competitive environment was not great, IMHO. Still, I stuck with the 7 against my better instincts.

Bokarra was a bit of a contradiction. They staff was super attentive and friendly, and I soon found out why. Cocktails were R80, and she got me for two. Plus, a R100 entry, two R15 Brahma's, and 'take home for the night' fee of R740, on top of which the house charged 10%. Before you scream, I know, that 's too much to spend. But, at this point I was committed. The total came to just under R1000, or about USD400, which was my budget.

Anyway, around 2am I led her through the staring guys at the club and took her back to my hotel. She was enthusiastic, but not attentive. In fact, she was stubborn and wanted to do things her way, and pouted when I told her it was my way or the highway. She made up for it somewhat by being passionate and came easily both times, requiring a 'cool down' period for a couple minutes afterwards. Still, her attitude was annoying and I let her go after a couple hours. She asked for cab fare and gave me her number, which I took to be polite.

Back to the club, my friend was giving the ice princess a hard time, teasing her, but eventually they went upstairs for R350, entry fee NIC. Apparently, she took her clothes off, turned away and bent over with her hands on the bed, and said, "ok, go ahead, fuck me. " Just like that, nothing else, no foreplay, nada. He regretted even bothering to go up with her. Later he took another girl (one of the 4-5 decent ones) to a motel and they had a good time. She was a legit college girl, and looked uncomfortable in the club and approaching guys. My friend and I agreed that was a good sign for future reference.

So, in summary, Bokarra was a disappointment. Too expensive for the talent, not the nicest customer crowd, and a mediocre bar. The pricing policy for drinks was really the worst part of it. Centaurus was in another league entirely. I understand the criticisms of that place, but at least the basic value proposition is there. You spend money on hot women, not fees and liquor. I'm going to write a report on Centaurus for those who are interested, so keep an eye out. My advice is to avoid Bokarra. In Floripa, enjoy mingling with the attractive locals in the clubs, malls, and beaches. I found them, even with my mediocre Spanish substituted for Portugese, to be open and friendly. I'd like to go back with more than one night in town to meet some locals next time instead.

I was recently in Florianopolis and went searching... It was a Sunday night and the city was dead. Nobody on the streets (when I asked a taxi driver where to go to meet girls he suggested the local shopping mall). Anyhow, I walked towards the big old suspension bridge from the public market up Cons. Marfa, just wandering.

I stopped to explore a little place at the corner of Marfa and Padre Roma (ironically enough). It was called O Ilha Whiskey Bar and something told me it'd be fun. On entering I was greated by 4 or 5 girls, including one who spoke good spanish (which was a relief--my portugese is not that good). The girls were ok, not stunning but all attractive (7s mostly).

I was in Florianopolis in Jan 08 and recall having walked by the entrance of the whiskey bar at the approximate location you are describing. I didn't enter this place though. I think such names like "whiskey bar" or "whiskeria" kind of made me imagine a place too rough for my taste (although I must learn the lesson now to remind myself that the outside isn't necessarily reflecting the inside).

Instead I later went inside a place called Love House a bit further up, just where Cons. Marfa becomes the Adolfo Konder street. The darkish bar downstairs hosted about 7-8 girls. The rooms upstairs were really neat and clean with a spatious bathroom (at least the room I was in). There was a view of the old bridge from the room. The girl was a 25 yo pro. However, I am not completely sure I spotted the right place.

I have no idea if any of the info on places above are still valid today. It would be interesting to soon discover more posts from "Floripa". Overall I really liked it being there. Their climate is of the same type as Florida (sub-tropical), except for reversed seasons (summer in January).

Well, everything is not always only good. A couple of weeks after returning home, I discovered I had contracted some kind of skin virus on my private regions, quite harmless according to the doctor and it was consequently not treated, but it was a nuisance and took a couple of months to recede. All this despite use of condoms, including BJ.

I do not judge you, just I understand you, as I was in Floripa for almost 3 weeks, but I banged....zero regulars and when you are horny down there, it is pain in the ass for how much you are gonna to pay.....

You really burn money, money disappear as ice under the sun in august, so if you have no lucky with local girls, everytime you want to cum, it cost you huuuge money !

Beaches are nice, I agree, for me the problem is that I live 90 km from beach in my home town, I do not know for the others....

And yes, with quite friendly taxi driver I tried in the city 2 privates.... ugly and I mean ugly girls that wanted, if I remember well, 300 reais for 1 hour.....

I arrived there and stayed 3 days at Ibis in the city before to move to barra da lagoa and every evenings I tried and got one girl, 2 from bukkara and 1 from another club, then I spent almost all the other days as a teenager.... but so far as a good teenager I masturbate about 10 times I have not 10.000 reais and it means a huge fun in Rio....
