I just want to report about my trip to Bucharest (and rest of romania) earlier this year (June and July).

To put things into perspective, I'm 28, canadian but of romanian origin (been in Canada for 10 years). So I'm familiar with Romania, Bucharest and I speak fluent Romanian.

Currency - RON (new Lei - lei vechi) and ROL (old lei - lei vechi). Try to always negotiate and talk about prices in RON. 1 RON = 10 000 ROL

This summer: 1USD= 2. 7 RON 1CDN=2. 5 RON (however, bring USD with you, you'll have a hard time changing CDN dollars at this rate) 1 EUR=3. 5 RON

On to mongering:

There's a few ways to get sexual services in Bucharest:

1) Nightclubs/StripClubs - AVOID THESE at all cost. Unless you're extremely rich and really, really enjoy seeind girls strip. They rarely dance on stage, hassle you to get them champagne which usually starts at 150 RON and go with them in the private room where prices start at 50 EUR for simply dancing a few songs! There's no entrance fee and drinks start at 15 Ron. When the girl told me it's 50 euro for a few dances with touch (another one said it; s without touch) + the bottle of champagne I almost started laughing and I told her in Montreal it's 10 times cheaper to get a dance she got all snoby and said usually it's only old italian guys then come there so she doesn; t understand what we're doing there. Girls in these clubs are very hot, usually 7's-10's but prices are WAY to high for nothing.

2) SW

There's a few places where you find SW.

-you have the ones downtown on Magheru Blvd and the side streets, between the Intercontinental and the KFC/McDonalds. These ones cater more to the foreigners that stay in the expensive hotels from the area so they also inflate prices depending on your car or/and langauge that you speak (romanian or not). Some of these girls are nice clean romanians and they are usually the most expensive. There's also some nice looking gypsy girls and of course the ugly disgusting looking dirty gypsy girls. BEWARE of these especially since they'll try to charge you as much as a nice clean girl. Avoid them at all cost.

Prices (no matter what they ask for): for a quickie BJ (somewhere outisde or in the car) never pay more than 50 RON (14 euro). For a quickie BJ and FS never pay more than 70 Ron. Per hour, at your hotel or their place, never pay more than 150 RON to a 8-10 or 100 RON to a 5-7. I don; t advise you to get 1 hour with any of these girls since you'll usually just get 1sog unless you clearly discuss with her MSOG SEVERAL times before you give her the money, or are the time of guy who can only finish after 30-40 minutes or more. I used the services there once, I got 2 girls in the same time for BJ and FS for 220 RON for 1 unrushed sog, one was a 8 and the other a 6. They did deliver.

- you also have sometimes streetwalkers in other areas of downtown, like the Piata Romana (Roman plazza), Piata Victoriei and a few other places. Prices are about the same.

- There; s also a few girls on Barbu Vacarescu Blvd, between the VW dealership (porsche romania) and the Paintball place next to the Verdi parc. Most are just in front of the dealer. They are pretty 7-8, and rates are simple: 30 RON (8. 5 euro! )for BJ or 50 for FS, quickies in the parc (or on a side street in the car). Not sure if they're available for 1-hour or LT at the hotel or home. They probably are but will charge a lot since they get lots of clients there and make lots of money with quickies. This is not far from downtown, about 10 minutes taxi ride from the center, taxi should be 7-8 RON to get there. (I'll tak more about taxis later)

- There's also SW in an area called the Centura (belt) of Bucharest, close to the Baneasa forest. These are mostly daytime SW and it; s better to have a car for them since with a taxi it will get expensive. I don't recomend these girls since they're mostly junkies, over or under weight and most likely have hygiene issues. They are cheap though. 30-60 RON.

3) Massage Parlors

There's 2 types of MP's in Bucharest:

- The ones that ofer erotic massages and more (BJ, fs): These are rare. Also, not many of them will tell you they offer more than erotic massages so you kinda have to try them out and talk to the girl once you're alone in the room. Unless they tell you beforehand clearly that they offer BJ/fs also, a place that might offer it will give some signs: for exemple they will tell you that a release is possible but they will be vague on the phone about how you can achieve that release. Or it might depend on the girl and how much you tell her you're readdy to give her for extra. If the sum is high enough, pretty much any of these girls will go for it but it might get extremely expensive. The places that advertise clearly that they offer massage and more, will tend to be more on the brothel side. Girls won; t give you a good or long massage and will kinda want to rush it going fast to the sex part of the session so you can finish quickly. In all these places 1 hour means 1 sog. If you want Msog or have special things done to you talk to them CLEARLY beforehand.

Prices: Places with FS stated - 100-150 RON per hour. MP's where FS is not openly offered in the add/phone will cost 75-100 Ron per hour (and if extras are available they will be extra)

- There's also "normal" MP's. They will not offer anything more than a thai massage. There is a lot of these, quality differs greatly though in terms of girls and of parlor decoration/hygiene etc. Prices start at 60 RON and go to 350 RON depending on service chosen and parlor. Some MP's will offer 4hands massage with both girls nude, some will offer with the girls topless, some will offer with 2 girls and a small lesby/erotic show, some will offer a stripease act with 1 or 2 girls. Lots of possibilities so depends on your fantasies and money. A simple 1 hour massage with 1 girl topless will run you between 60 and 100 RON depending on MP. All these 1 hour sessions will normally include: girl topless from the very start, 20 minutes of regular soft massage, 20 minutes of thai (body sliding) massage on your back and 20 minutes of thai massage with you facing the girl, with touching allowed everywhere but the Y (YMMV). All finish with a HJ. HOWEVER, it's not unusual that some girls at some MP's will rush you (finishing much sooner than 1 hour usually by starting the HJ early), or that will not let you touch at the Y even if you pay extra for the full nude option (this is pretty commun actually) or that they will refuse to finish you off with a plain HJ if you couldn; t finish with her body slide.

Another thing is that most MPs in Buc are located in apartments in regular apt buildings. Although some of these building looks scary from ouside or inside, most of these apartments are renovated by western standards and modern.

My experiences: I really enjoy massages so I gave these a try although I never tried it in Canada (however I do follow the scene in Canada and I; m aware of services offered and prices).

I tried several places and I was very satisfied in general. Tried this place that's in the apartment building right in front of the Muzica store on Calea Victoriei. A few girls available, clearly stated that no sex is available (although I did ask the girls in the room but I got smae answer), all very cute and friendly (7-9's), 80 Ron 1 hour 1 girl topless, 100 Ron 2 girls 1 hour topless, 140 Ron 2 girls 2 hours topless and 150 Ron 1 girl 2 hours topless. Tried 2 of the 4 girls they had, had a great time with both I really recommend this place.

I tried also another place, also stated clearly no sex, on Magheru blvd, in an apartment building across from the Intercontinental. Very nice girls here too, payed 170 RON for 2 girls 1 hour full nude. Had a bit of bad luck here cuz 1 of the girls was new and wasn't very permissive in terms of touching (the Y) while the other seemed very open but didn't want too because of the other girl. I regret not going back to see only her, I have a feeling I could of gotten a lot more from her.

Tried a few others but only simple 1 hour topless 1 girl massaged, fairly good but nothing amazing. The places I talked about above were the best.

I also tried this place on Mihai Bravu blvd, about 10 minutes from downtown by taxi right next to the Dristor metro station. This was advertised as a MP with FS. I asked twice the girl on the phone if indeed massage is included or it; s just plain FS. She assured me that it was. Got there, girls were better looking than in expected. Price was 100 RON for 1 hour. I thought it is a great deal since other places have this price for massage only althogh the drawback was that they didn't offer BBBJ, just CBJ. I picked this young girl-next-door typical romanian, petite with amazing breasts. Took a shower, came back and she seemed a little annoyed already cuz I stayed 5 minutes in the shower (and not just 2 or 3)? ! She started a massage, not the best had. Almost no oil. After just 5-10 minutes she tells me to turn around so we can start having sex. I told her that I was expecting an unrushed session, with a complete massage and instead of delivering, she started giving me a bit of attitude saying how men never come there for a massage, and I should be thankfull she even did it for a few minutes since the other girls just jump to sex right away and would refuse to give a massage. She continued with a horrible body slide with some spanish but without oil (I was actually hurting a bit)! Thank good I was really attracted to her and I didn't go limp although I was kinda pissed. A place I would definetly AVOID is Karma Massage. This place is a rip-off for romanians and a much bigger rip-off for foreigners. They are well known since they advertise in hotel magazines, that; s how they're still in business. Some of their girls are nice but on the phone they will always exagerate their looks. Prices are 100ROn daytime and jump to 150 Ron nighttime for a massage at their parlor. While I was there several foreigners called wanting a girl at their hotel and they were quoted up to 90 euro for 1 hour regular session (no sex) by the "secretary" which was also pretty rude and obnoxious with them on the phone! This is more than double the price given to romanians at the parlor! Being in "need" at the moment I did accept to get a girl (also, not many parlors are open late at night 2-3 am) for 150 Ron. I was out in 30 minutes. She was nice but jumped to do the HJ after a few minutes of massage.

Next day I visited the Gentlemen's Club. Armed with previous day's experience, I refused to buy any drinks to the girls. There were about 10 girls most are in the range of 5-7 and there were two 8s. I asked the taxi driver to take me to the Leonardo. It was closed around mid-night. I went to Magheru road and walked around and found a night club called Diva. There were couple of good looking girls. Mini ME could not wait no longer. They have a private room. The club wanted 100 euro if I wanted to use the private room. I made a deal with a young blonde for 100 euros for unlimited shots. Unfortunately, the room was occupied by another punter at that time. I could not wait another hour or so and I left.

A friendly taxi driver Romeo wanted to help me to find a girl for incall. I could not take the girl with me to the hotel as I was with bunch of other people. His contacts asked too much money. I refused to accept just the massage with a HJ. Dry night.

My desire to taste a Romanian stayed that. I will report my next missteps in the next post.

I talked to bunch of my Romaian colleagues and found out that it was reasonably safe in all parts of Romania, especially when you hold an American passport. I was ready for an adventure.

I was in Romania recently and a Romanian friend told me where locals look for girls.
