Some mongers overpay and overtip the girls. Which distorts the field for future foreigners.

Some mongers don't know the etiquette at these places, it usually only takes one or two badly behaved guys to put an establishment off accepting foreigners for a few months, if not for good.

I've even heard stories of mongers advising independents (back when the scene was good) to UP THEIR PRICES, which sounds completely nuts.

Then there are those who lurk and leech, but don't post any information on their own adventures in Seoul.

All in all, if I were to find a good place, I'd share it in PMs with those who have access to the service, but you have to assume that everyone you tell will also pass that info on to someone else.

If I were to find a golden provider or establishment though, chances are I won't share it too. It's just the way things are.

There is a small RLD in Incheon that, in my experience, is extremely foreigner friendly. Take the subway to Sungui Station on the Suin Line and exit the station through Exit 4. Upon submitting the escalator, keep going straight while bearing right around the bend. There is a small, roughly two block RLD district off to your right before you get to the see you convenience store. Take a right off of the main street and just zig zag through the side streets a couple of times. You can recognize you're in the right area by all of the yellow facades (this area is actually called "Yellow House" in Korean).

The RLD isn't super active, which might be why I've always been welcomed. Girls are typically a bit older (30's or more), but decent. The going rate seems to be 70,000 KRW and condoms seem to be optionally in most places. I've had no above and beyond service here and it's always an in and out proposition. I've only gone during the early evening (daylight hours), because I don't like the hassle of drunk Korean men. Perhaps it is more active at night.

I have read here frequently people complaining about the Korean net censorship of web sites.

If you use the Tor anonymous web browser it gets around the net nanny stuff. It's free to download and it does work. If you Google "Tor" it will probably be at the top of the list.

The full name for Tor is the "Tor Project: Anonymity Online".

It is a bit slower than a normal browser, however, it does work. I've used it to download porn while in my Seoul hotel rooms, which was completely off limits with a normal web browser.

I can verify that Yellow house indeed is foreigner friendly.

Works similar to Miari. Windows are covered (yellow film hence the name), old ladies pull you in where younger girls are waiting. You are then taken to a room where you can shower and do your thing. If there are guys around, the women will be a lot more discreet and you might not be able to pick your girl.

They're often disguised as "sports massage" (though often written in Korean) or have poles with English / Japanese / Chinese on them. Once you walk in, you can get a pretty good sense as well. The cost is one indicator, the shower in the room and mirror on the wall is another. So is having a middle aged male staff attendant showing you to the room. When in doubt, I just ask. They're honest about what you're paying for.

The massage was not a legit massage. Five minutes or so spent rubbing my back and legs.
