I met Dao in Pai where she ran a small coffee shop, and she also ran a small bar outside of town. I began to have my suspicions about her being somewhat of a scammer when we next met in Chiang Mai. Athough she is quite pretty, and fun to be with, she always lets you know she needs money for "one of her sick water buffaloes" or something akin to that. The third time was the clincher. At the end of the evening, after taking her and her gf to dinner, I told her I no longer wanted to see her....and I haven't. Last I knew she was operating in Chiang Rai. Ah, just one more memory for my book.

My current gf keeps asking me for 100,000Bht for hospital treatment following a bike ride when she fell off and grazed her knee. But at least she says it with a smile on her face...

Haha, I have heard these stories before. Just remember the second you walk out the door, you have no idea what they are up to. Maybe get suspicious when they don't answer your calls or SMS except during the day ;)
