The other difference is the demand and inflation part of the equation. BKK was primarily a destination for westerners. With the ease of travel these days, more money carrying Asians from Korea, China, etc, and the economic bubble bursting in Japan leading to the search for cheaper hotties. Of course inflation alone doubles prices every 10-12 years. More or less depending on the local economic situations. Making 400 baht to 800 to 1,600 baht in 20 years about where it should be. Then add in double the demand and 3,000 is what you get. For what it's worth, there are still 10's of thousands of girls who will accept far less for LT.

The top girls at Nana would not be asking 3,000 baht for LT if they were not consistenly getting it. There's obviously alot of hobbyists who don't see $75US as too much to pay for an all nighter.

But it’s not all doom & gloom prices in Pattaya (and up country) are more or less pegged back with the national wage inflation rate.

Not sure why you are worried about prices. Those who pay 3,000 are not necessarily gullible people. The pay because they have enough money that 2,000 or 3,000 baht does not matter to them. They find someone they like and they go off and have fun. There are more than enough girls to go around. Everyone will find someone they are happy with, be it 500, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 baht or more.

Are you worried about you or them (other hobbyists)? If you are worried about them, then I really suggest saving your time and energy. I think they know full well what they want and are willing to spend and are not losing any sleep over it.

in bangkok, i guess it depends on your tastes, but i usually hit these places:

soapies: definitely recommend poseidon and/or copacabana. top of the line, nice selection and sideline girls. with the sideline girls you can drink and get to know them and maybe find some chemistry. take the bts sky train and save some agravation from the traffic. others in the area include emmanuel and cesaers. catherine and colonze on rama ix, cp2 on sri ayudhya road. plaza entertainment on petchaburi road is also good. cupidy next door is a ripoff. taxi drivers get a kickback. plaza entertainment is much better and it's just next door. most places are 1,700 - 2,700 baht, depending on the size and quality of the establishment. tips range from 200-500 baht norm, although i have seen higher numbers mentioned.

massage: sabai sabai across from the ambassador hotel, for 24 hour massage with extra's. incall or outcall. all the girls i met offer extras. in house hj only and takeout many offer fs. it's on the lane behind the 7-11, so you can't see it from the main drag. the prices are 600-900 baht depending on time. the girls ask about 500 baht for the hj and 1,000-1,500 for fs. pricey, but it is a 24/7 option. mixed reviews, but i have never had a problem there. there's tulip near the thonglor bts. there are several options on their menu, including fs. angel massage on soi 22 & 26 is also very good. nice selection of girls and lotion, oil or thai massage options. as with most all bkk massage places, extra's are available.

nep & soi cowboy bars: nep, soi cowboy hit long gun, baccara, angel witch, rainbow, etc. i also spent an afternoon once at one of the smaller bars at the end of soi cowboy. it was raining and i ran in to stay dry. i bought the girls drinks and ended up buying rounds for several girls. very similar to what happens in ac/phils. not recommended, but i had fun. then took out a hidden gem. as with all bkk bars, you pay the bar fine and work the tip out with the girl.

bier gardens: several around, but the best is soi 7. easy place to pickup free lancers in the afternoon.

soi 33 artists bars, livinstones & massage parlors: soi 33 has both the artists bars and some very good massage places. the artists bars are named after famous artists, hence the name. some great looking woman and well dressed. some think overpriced. livingstones has parties in the evenings around the pool bar & pool area. the owner contributes a lot of posts, so info is easy to find. the handsome dude (just checking to see if the regulars are reading), is friendly and helpful.

soi 33 teen massage is very good. small rooms are the downside, but a nice selection of girls. i hear there are larger rooms available on the 1st floor. they have another location, so some nights the number of girls is not as big. i had a lineup of 15-20 when i went recently. massage is 900 baht. fs is on the menu, but for 1,500 baht extra. akane is another soi 33 mp. they use the gel from japan as a lubricant for the massage in the groin area and for the hj. fs is probably not available. this place is hard to find the first time. if you spot a "peep inn" sign, look under the garage area and you will see it about 50 feet in. you will see a lot of japanese nationals there.

down time: during the day, hit the emporium shopping mall. nice place, excellent eating spots, and you can catch a movie. the movies are usually in english with thai subtitles, it's cheap and best of all it's cool and you can recharge. the seats are very comfortable as well. siam square has another good shopping center. non shopping includes some of the bars with pool tables or sports bars. there's always golf if you are into it. of course there's temples galore, grand palace, and other touristy things.

in the evening, if you like singing, you can hit one of the karaoke places and have some girls join you. after there's always the take out option.

barbershops & foot massage places: friends massage near nana for a nice pampering session. options are haircut, shampoo, pedicure, foot massage, oil massage. extra's are on the table. they open early and it's a good way to start the day. get creative and suggest something off the menu and they may oblige! lot's of other similar places, so don't limit yourself to friends. most options range from 250-600 baht.

j-bars: there are quite a few bars catering to japanese only. they can almost be as selective as some of the real japan bars! lol! got turned away at a couple. in most, though, i was able to get in. don't recall the names off hand, but they are all over the place. some on soi 33. i believe some are on soi 6 or 7, soi 11 and soi 22 or 23. very easy to spot.

washington square soi 22: i saw this building with a bunch of bars or possibly massage places at the phrom phong sky train stop. i think i will check that place out on my next stay. i see that sazanka massage from this building ended up on the thread as a recommended stop. looks like a korean themed place. reviews have been intruiging.

thermae: the place is a long time bkk spot that has changed over time. it now seems to be frequented mostly by asians. a wide range of ages and looks to choose from. all free lancers.

night clubs: spasso at the grand hyatt. nice selection of freelancers and non-working girls. riva's at sheraton grande and cm2 in the basement of the novotel at siam square are also very good.

other: of course there's the only in bkk stuff like [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901][CodeWord901][/url]'s soi 8 bj bar and eden club for the two girl thing.

prices range from 500 baht to 4,000 baht depending on the place, girl, you and the moon and stars. there's enough basic price ranges noted on this thread. i say, just relax and enjoy. don't stress out over what is right and just find something in your comfort zone price wise.

there's just too much to include in one post, so keep on rtff and you will have a better time. i still consider myself a newbie, so i'm sure the bkk old timers can add more info to the mix.

I have for a long time been bored with gogo bars but last week we went to Baccara on Soi Cowboy. This was a fun place with a see through dance floor on the second floor where girls wearing skirt and no underwear dance... Yes, you can see everything.
