In general.

Don't come in December or January.

Things start to get back to normal after the second Monday of January which is always a long weekend in Colombia (it's the same feast of the Epiphany but in Colombia they move it to the following Monday).

But. People slowly start trickling back into town. Its always best to wait until at last the end of January if you want to monger, especially in BOG.

Also, from Dec 8th on, people start leaving the big cities.

For me I am usually a one and done for the night kind of guy but at time like this past Sunday had 2 best friends since they were 5 yo in my apartment for 4 hours and yes I needed 2 full days to recover.
