Noise, Greenbelt and Nonsense
Sitting here in Greenbelt 2 at NuVo, which used to be a nice quiet place, where you could sit outside, observe the teeming hordes, have a decent bottle of red and eat some reasonable food. Tonight I find that the place has added an outdoor band to compete with the noise of piped in and live music from other places, a TV playing right alongside the band, a reduced (and lousy) wine list and fiarly inattentive, indifferent service. The only thing that hasn't declined is the prices. If I didn't have to meet some folks for dinner I'd flee. Once again, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, which seems a particularly Filipino trait.

Noise, More Noise and Nonsense
Seems as if they have to have music to crap up any otherwse peaceful and civilized occasion. And its not just music. Its noise that you can't carry on a conversation over at dinner. My rationale is that music at least provides some employment to pinoys who would otherwise be chronically unemployed. My general rule is that if I see a band setting up, I either leave or don't go there. If there's a band or occasion in the common area of a mall, it turns into an even bigger living hell.
Sorry if I may have digressed from the price of poontang.
