Anastrozole is the female hormone
Read this: http://www.defymedical.com/resources/health-articles/308-how-to-manage-polycythemia-caused-by-testosterone-replacement-therapy and they control it with a drug called Anastrozole read the part about for men not women. Here's a couple of paragraphs and this is my doctor.
Polycythemia is an excessive production of red blood cells. With polycythemia the blood becomes very viscous or "sticky," making it harder for the heart to pump. High blood pressure, strokes and heart attacks can occur.
From what I understand Anastrozole is the female hormone that keeps the Testosterone mellow. During the first 2 years we had to take a small dosage of the Anastrozole a day after the shot. Then they found a way to include it in the shot like a compound that works together.
I had a friend that was on the regiment and his red blood count rose higher and the clinic had him stop taking the shots and off the program. I guess this is a side effect that can happen on the drug. I have not heard of any other side effects, and there are a lot of men in Honolulu on this program.
Just arrived Bkk and resting for the evening activities.
