This club is a ripoff. I walked in this bar and had a couple of beers. I was on my second beer when the maddam came and ask me if I liked any of the girls. I said yeah I like number 100, so she brought her over. Right away they ask you if you want to buy her a drink I said ok. Then the waiter charges me 875 pesos for her one drink. I told him never in any club in the Phillippines had I paid so much for a drink. So now I'm thinking of getting this girl out of the bar before she finishes her expensive drink. So I told her lets get out of here. She goes and talks to the maddam and comes back and tells me its 10, 000 pesos. I'm like what? Why is it so much? I told her its not my first time in Manila why are you trying to rip me off? So I tell her to forget it and ask for my tab so I can leave. So I'm waiting for the waiter for like 20 min. For my bill, by this time I'm pissed off so I get up and start walking towards the door. So now the waiter and maddam intercept me and she is telling me she will give me a discount on the girl. I'm like forget it I'm not in a mood anymore. So they give me my tab it was 400 pesos for the two beers. 875 pesos for the girl drink and 600 pesos cover charge and two additional 600 pesos charges. I'm what the hell is this for? Surcharge sir. I'm like surcharge for what? I'm not paying this I told him. So now I have the waiter the maddam and three additional guys there. At this point I'm thinking its going to be cheper just to pay the bill and suck it up than to try and fight these bastards. So I paid them but not before giving them an earfull. This was my third trip to the Phillippines and my first bad experience. I have always had a good time in Manila, Makati, Boracay, Cebu. My favorite place is still Angelis City. You can't go wrong when it comes to bars. Prices are a lot cheaper for everything and I feel safer at night.

Rich korean / japanese gents tend to hang in these places with their buddies. They buy an expensive LD (p1000 is not unusual) , and a pretty pinay sits and chats you up for an hour or so. The guys sometimes pay for 3-4-5 LD's at once, ensuring the girl will sit and chat with them for several hours. Take-out prices can be extremely high. I never saw what those guys see in those places. By the time you buy a LD and take a girl, you could have taken half a dozen girls from MBC (and spent your time on sex, not drunken revelry). Bunch of japanese guys sitting with 4 girls, laughing it up. Couple of drinks and a barfine here and I could see myself having to use my credit card and be p15k lighter. Ah, no thanks hun, time for me to get out of here and find a taxi to G-Point.

I visited a club like this on Roxas Blvd. In Baclaran. At the door I ascertained that there is no cover. I checked the price of a drink and ordered one. Problem: the waiter would not accept payment! It's my policy never to run a tab. Besides the possibility of additional charges, as complained of below, especially after a guy has been drinking, I want to be able to leave quickly in case of a disturbance. So the madame, or mama-san, joins me to ask what she can do for me. And I say, Get me the bill for this drink! She did so. But after that, no one approached me. My pleasure was to watch, with no action.

I think the management is more surprised to see a non korean japanese than we are to them, they think, here comes another lost soul, In Asia Entertainment Complex in front of roxas blvd, there are some half a dozen KTV bars that charge 800 pesos for a drink and I too stumbled upon it once and they were surprised to see me. However, They have a fish bowl inside the KTV bar, where the quality is quite high with all girls dressed in Japanese Anime attire etc.

I believe the KTV scene in Philippines is very big for Japanese, Korean clients. I used Google translate and typed in japanese [manila KTV] &12510; &12491; &12521; KTV [Philippines KTV] &12501; &12451; &12522; &12500; &12531; KTV and came up with 100's of videos that most english speaking folks could not find it the normal way. If you have PPD from your last trip to the PH. Just Google translate all keywords to Japanese and they have put whole weeks worth of videos.

Thanks for that. Pretty sure I won't be going to the Mr. Woman club. Every once in a while I bump into a gal in a bar that has worked in Japan. Sometimes we have a great conversation in Japanese and sometimes I wonder how they survived with their terrible pronunciation. Oh, I suppose their charm point wasn't conversation.
